My question is why. Why. What possesses you to do this? Talking about the teacher here.

The guy doesn't care.
There's only an age differnce of 8 years....
so that's ok but an 18 year old hooking up with an 80 year old is fine...

You can argue that the 16 year old is the victim since he isn't fully capable of making his own decisions (especially sexually). Whose to say that an adult couldn't take advantage of a 16 year old? What about 15? 14? 13?12? The law just chooses 18 as the cutoff age.
