you just beat me to it...
by the way, this is the CLEAN version.

beat is boring as hell just a simple ass loop all the way through
-
Far from a boring beat and loop imo. There's a clear switch up in the chorus and at the end of each verse with the "uuuu" background voice (lovely bassline too). Beat sounds like a mix of that Coors Light Commercial and Talk About Me.
Enough about Dre, great song overall, Raekwon sounds hungry like a youngster.
-
what a dope beat :o :o
Rea sound's bether than ever...
-
the beat is cliche dre but its nice 8)
-
If by "cliche dre" you mean a dope ass Dre beat, then I agree 8)
-
Im tellin you Dre is only using the same sounds to think he's repetitive, Detox will sound nothing like his previous work! He's doin this on purpose, trust me! 8)
-
It may be because Raekwon is rapping on it, but I love the beat.Great ass song.
Album will be fucking insane
-
this off his new album yeh? shits aight
-
What a great track. And compared to other OBCL2 tracks I like that fact that it's a solo.
-
What happedned to the other track dre produced ??? :'(
-
If by "cliche dre" you mean a dope ass Dre beat, then I agree 8)
not really. by 'cliche' i mean the strong piano element is trademark dre. certainly not a bad thing. but by 'nice' i mean its nice 8)
and some funkier drum sounds than dre normally goes for 8)
-
sounds good.. props
-
This beat sounds different from the usual dre beats IMO. The bassline is insane. And Rae came clean with the verses.
Great song overall! 8)
-
beat is tight. 8)

Jesus christ, the album hasn't even leaked yet. ::)
I'm not listening to this till the whole thing leaks or maybe even goes on sale. Got some extra cash now so I may well buy this.
-
Infact, I just pre ordered it. Can't wait.
If a track called Badlands is not included in the grouprip, I will up that the day I get it as it might be a UK only bonus track.

so far it sounds alright, but it's not amazing.
by the way, the drumsounds are very similar to the ones from Gorilla pimpin' 5008: it's like Dre didn't do the drums on this Raekwon song; the drums sound cheap.
-
Its like dre beats over shadow the artist ::)
I feel like that sometimes , I'm like I just listened to this artist just to hear a Dre beat. 8)
-
the track was made quite a while ago, so it's definitely not using dre's latest drum sounds. the bongo sounds is more something you'd hear on a quik beat though.

old or new, it doesn't sound like Dre.
more like something Mark Batson & Che Vicious would do.
i'm not saying Dre didn't do the drums, but Dre usually doesn't have such cheap sounds :P

Thats a good point
-
wow this shit sounds dope 8)
-
weird doesn't really seem like a dre beat...i'm not a fan but ah well i'll still check this album out.
-
Its alright.Raekwon comes off decent, the beat is nice and i love lyfe jennings but something about the song just isnt impressive.
-
The way people were swooning over this I expected to hear something which genuinely was the MC I heard on OB4CL but this is alright, it's nothing ground breaking, it's not classic, beat is ok, nothing particular innovative.
-
Beat is sick!! 8) God i hope this album leaks soon
-
Doesn't sound like it was mixed by Dre, but I'm sure he couldve had his hands in this earlier on
-
same melody as eve's "what you want" from ruff ryders vol. 1 circa 1999, just slowed down a little bit.

Haha, another one. Dre switched from sampling musicians to re-making/sampling rap songs.
-
Love the bass, overall beat is cool, nothing outstanding to be honest, "Nigga Me" is the Dre/Rae track i was most looking forward to after hearing the snippets.
Raekwon was nice as usual.
but damn i hate clean tracks lol

Indeed....the sad part is the beat is good, but with a little variation it could have been epic.
The piano part is so repetitive even I - no i mean my 7 year old cousin - could have made it (better), but Dre fans are so blinded by love that if only the Dre track they hear is ''not that commercial'', they like it...most of them are fucking musical elitists, like many Premo and Dilla fans but on a higher level.
I have come to a new conclusion: Dre does do piano on this songs HIMSELF, that is why they sound so repetitive and crappy :loopaper:
-
All I know is I'm lovin' this. Can't wait for the record.
Fans set crazy hoops for Dre, evident from this thread already. Why you gotta always pick apart the man's beats instead of just listening and enjoying them? It's all good to critique the shit, I'm not saying that, but in general whenever a new Dre beat surfaces fans are rushing over each other to pick it apart and analyze the samples and drums and basslines...

if that's how you really felt, how come you're still looking for confirmation then?

Dre always gets the special treatment, which is a huge compliment if you think about it

You have a point, but I am not criticizing Dre all the time like many on this board do, I love much of Dre's latest work, such as Grow Up, Hallelujah, or the beats on Relapse among others...but I'm just being skeptical....I do somehow believe Dre is doing this on purpose ...
-
from the snippets , both songs produced by Dre sound like to be amongs the worst of the lp ... this is not a good indication of how the album sounds
-
OHHHH SHEEEEET
WU-TANG ITS ON NOW!
GODDAMN THIS THAT CRIMINAL SLANG NIGGAS!

I been saying this for the longest. Dre is doing this same sound so that when Detox come out and he pull out the new sound it will sound fresh and new. He been in the game 20 something years, this is what he do! Ya'll know that. 8)

Best song I've heard in a while. Damn this is banging
-
From what movie is the quote : "Concentrate on the job..... Don't disturb the doctor...'' ??
-
Still not sure about the beat
Rae comes off nice despite
-
From what movie is the quote : "Concentrate on the job..... Don't disturb the doctor...'' ??
I second that question....
-
dre just needs to off himself
-

HOUSE OF FLYIN DAGGERS>>>>>>

Amazing, got that light-vibed Cuban feeling. Reminds me of Scarface shit. Look out, this album's gonna be a classic....

Loving this song. I like how Dre switched it up, samples are hot.
