Things of note:
Eat A Dick uses Snoops verse from Doggy Dogg World.
Keep It Real Dogg appears to be a solo version of Keep It Real aka Party People
One Life To Live samples the "Halloween" theme song and talks about D.A.V.E. again. (DAVE obviously was the main concept for Murder Was The Case when they first started on it. That makes 3 songs that mention it)
The Genie sounds dope as fuck, can't wait to hear Bo Roc on that track
Funk Wit Ya Brain (interlude) sounds like it should be an actual song not an interlude. Bangin!
Put It In Ya Mouth uses Head Doctor lyrics. Must be the og of the og lol.
Life's Hard Dedication to 2pac sounds amazing.
Root of all Evil samples Kleeer's Intimate Connection. Same sample used in Cali Love Remix.
Wow, after peeping this I must say I'm anticipating this way more than I originally was. I mean Doggystyle is enough to make the album, but there's a ton of other quality tracks on here too and I wasn't expecting that. The original version of OG and Fallin Asleep On Death Row (production wise) didn't have me real excited about the album, but hearing all the tracks definitely changed that.

8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
Snoops best album after Tha Last Meal
it would be dope, if snoop release a dope funk album after doggfather

Yup. And there seems to be a lot of leftover Snoop from that era. I'm guessing they didn't give us all the best stuff on this album either, to save some for future volumes.
-
Oh yes !
-
GOD DAMN! This is gunna be what evry snoop fan has wanted. Sounds like Doggystyle part 2....Cant Wait for this!! And isnt Best Buy gunna have like 3 or 4 bonus tracks?? This will definatelly be Snoops best album since Last Meal, hell with the bonus tracks it might be his best album since Doggstyle! Cant wait for this!, Day 1 purchase for sure 8)
-
Pumped for this
-
16. Quite Obvious feat Rappin' 4 Tay (Best Buy Bonus)
17. Once Again (Best Buy Bonus)
18. Got To Do Wrong (Best Buy Bonus)
Hope these are banging just like the rest of the Lost Sessions 8)
-
I had forgotten about those best buy bonus tracks, put me in a bad mood !
-
I had forgotten about those best buy bonus tracks, put me in a bad mood !
lol, you'll get them anyway
-
Sounds really dope 8)
-
:o :o :o they need to promote this, they could make alot of money off this... it sounds REALLY good 8) and to think this is only volume 1.
-
I had forgotten about those best buy bonus tracks, put me in a bad mood !
I forgot about them too, but that puts me in a good mood because that's where I'll be picking up the album at in 2 weeks.
-

Exactlly, Thats where ill be gettiing my version at. There new cds are usually 9.99 and with 3 bonus tracks, you cant beat that! I just hope there just as good as the rest of the album, But almost evrything Snoop did in that era was golden.
-
I'm from the UK, so we're screwed for the Bestbuy version. I sure as hell aint ordering from CDUniverse.com again when it comes to unreleased DR/WIDEawake releases, because they'll probably send out Snoop Dogg - Lost Files (Japenese bootleg Import)(w/ Doggystyle/Doggfather tracks)
-
damn this is tight, loving it, jus hope it sells well and i get a copy lol. eat a dick sounds like serial killa. looking forward to also the last 8 traks.
is it me or does the doggstyle sound low quality compared to the recent leaked high quality?
-
It'll just be Amazon upping it in MP3 format, and having a slight loss in quality. Streaming MP3 is even worse
-
good looking out. Definately ready for this one. Snippets sound like fire. From beginning to end it sounds like a solid album.
-
funk with yeah brain is a sick asss song
-
The track with Charlie Wilson sounds :o
-
Will order at HMV.com if they pick this up.
My Chronic re-lit was £9.99 and they delivered in 24hrs.
-
16. Quite Obvious feat Rappin' 4 Tay (Best Buy Bonus)
17. Once Again (Best Buy Bonus)
18. Got To Do Wrong (Best Buy Bonus)
Hope these are banging just like the rest of the Lost Sessions 8)
Once Again is a well known banger, i will enjoy the tag free version
-
Haha Snoop got that Pac flow and lyrics on that dedication, shit's cool. All these snippets sound sick, hyped for this!
-
sounds dope. definately gettin this.

"got to do wrong" is the same as "too black" , from the "dead man walkin" album
-
Eat A Dick uses Snoops verse from Doggy Dogg World.
Also uses the bass line and drums from Serial Killa
-
Life's Hard Dedication is :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
-
DAY ONE PURCHASE!
I'm feeling all the songs.
-
WoooooooooooooWWW this sounds dope as hell, they really did a good thing here.
-
Life's Hard Dedication is :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
I wasn't that impressed by this one though, if he was just going to recite pac's lyrics Ill take the original.
-
Tha Next Episode with Dre would've made this album classic.
-
only 2 weeks to go! this will prolly be my favorite album of 2009!
-
sounds dope. might have to purchase a cd for once
-
I'm guessing Eat a Dick was supposed to be For My Bitchez & Niggaz?
One Life to Live had the same verse like Poor Young Dave.
i'll purchase this as well.
-
My only complaint is they need to find a studio to really do a superb mix for these releases. Dre mixing these in those days would have bought the songs out better. Cool though!
-
Damn this sounds craaazy.
-
i can fuck wit this. i need this... indeed
-
Life's Hard Dedication is :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
I wouldn't mind hearing it, but based on the clip, it's just Snoop rapping Pac's lyrics from the song.
-
damn, samples sound dope! I will definitely be supporting this release!
-
why does Doggystyle sound slowed down??
-
damn, these sound GREAT!can't wait
-
why does Doggystyle sound slowed down??
i was actually thinking the version previously leaked was a little fast, recorded from tape
-
can't wait to buy this album!!!
and cant wait for the tupac og one!!
-
Eat a dick uses serial killa hmmmmmm they was takin shit and throwin to other cutz per SUGE LMAO ;D
-
I'll buy it
-
This is gonna be great.
It was already on my list for this year, but hearing the sampler just solidifed it more...
-
"Put It In Ya Mouth" sounds like some post 98 remix of Head Doctor, like maybe something Kurt Cobain was messing with around the time DR dropped Dead Man Walkin'. That beat/production style sounds waaay different. Much more "Tha Row" style.

I was thinking the same possibility. Since they couldn't use that Prince sample, they probably made a couple different remixes and that one didn't make the cut.
-
this some real dope shit
-
Caught Up sounds good as well as that funk interlude thing. Can't wait till it comes out.
-
Damn, these snippets sound real tight. "Eat A Dick" sounds a bit like "Serial Killa".
-
Tha Next Episode with Dre would've made this album classic.
I feel you man. But we can't always get what we want.
-
strictly dope!!!!!

I'm going to have to disagree, to me it sounds like a different take from Snoop.
-
wow from those snippets this sounds horribly, horribly mixed. i hope those snippets are not taken from the finished cd...

yeah to be honest I wasnt that pumped after hearing them :-\
-
FUnk with Your Brain might be a O.G to the lbc crew version that was set to release in 96 or the LBC crew version might have been the O.G.
Tray D isnt on the lost sessions version tho
This is from the LBC crew Scans:

bo roc is listed on the track...
yeah I have it...I'm sure you do too.
It sounds like a 92.3 the beat radio drop. Bad Azz verse starts "I get high electricity bills..."
-
what song is this gangsta swang song supposed to be listed as in those credits?

the snoops lost session has it listed as snoop fet. mahallia franklin and KV and thats the same as the scan minus Tray D and McGruff ( whoever that is)
im just thinkin it was switched up
-
what song is this gangsta swang song supposed to be listed as in those credits?
I'm not sure its listed but when this track was released back in 2004 it was released with other stuff supposedly from that lbc album. like Intro 2 Indo, Get up 2 get down, wanna be from DPG (feels good to be from dpg)
whoever uppepd it said it was from the radio around that time. quality is all poor tho.
-
wow from those snippets this sounds horribly, horribly mixed. i hope those snippets are not taken from the finished cd...
so it's a lot worse than the remastered Chronic songs ( not the bonus ones)?
-
When this album drops, i hope Nima could interview Snoop Dogg about this and ask him about these tracks.
-

Listening to them on my laptop speakers i didnt notice
This isnt a good thing :(

i checked the snippets myself: some of them are ok, but others could have been from a bootleg( so to speak) :-X
no way i'm going to buy that

Surely the snippets aren't meant to play in particularly high quality. i think you should all just wait for the final product to make your mind up.

well, usually can tell from streams whether songs are mixed properly
audio files only sound more clear

Well I don't like to listen to snippets before the album has leaked otherwise it takes away the surprise. I'll let you know what I think when its out.

Mcgruff was on the 19th street compilation. About 5 years back he was supposed to drop an album together w/ J Money, but obviously that didn't happen.

deathrowmusic forum admin :
Songs done in 96 -97
Caught Up
The Genie
Put It In Your Mouth
Gravy Train
Life's Hard (2Pac Dedication)
None of the above songs were planned for 'Doggumentary'. Hope this helps.
We did review "Street Life" for The Lost Sessions and are aware how much the fans want that song. We couldnt get it cleared in time for 'The Lost Sessions' but will be working hard to have it included on a future release.
-
Rock on!
