Good to hear Em and 50 going back and forth like that on the track.By the third verses the track strengthens up and you feel the intensity.I like it, 50 with a fast paced flow is a little unusual, Em is good, barely any "accent" present.Dope shit

I'm gonna wait until we get an official word on if the album's dropping early or getting pushed back. There's no way 50 is scrapping it and recording more material, at least I don't think that's the case. The packaging and all that is already in place.

2. Then Days Went By - 4/5, solid track, I'm feeling the beat and 50 got it in
3. Death To My Enemies - 4.5/5, DAMN this beat is bananas, 50 killed it as well... really feeling this joint
4. So Disrespectful - 4.5/5, 50 brings the heat once again, fires some shots
5. Psycho (Feat. Eminem) - 5/5, :o this track is exactly what the title is, both ripped it, especially their flows, and the beat is crazy
6. Hold Me Down - 4/5, even though this concept has been done before I liked how 50 flipped it, and the beat was dope
7. Crime Wave - 4/5, I'm feeling this one, this track is good for the gym lol
8. Stretch - 3.5/5, might grow on me more but pretty cool track
9. Strong Enough - 4/5, this shit is hard
10. Get It Hot - 2/5, ehh not feeling this one...
11. Gangsta’s Delight - 3.5/5, it's aiight, maybe a grower
12. I Got Swag - 2.5/5, I think this track had some potential at first but 50's rhymes were too simple and dry for me
13. Baby By Me (Feat. Ne-Yo) - 2.5/5, it's decent for a poppy single, the beat is nice which saves it and Ne-Yo's hook is aiight, but not my type of shit...
14. Do You Think About Me - 4/5, smooth shit, I like this
15. Ok, You’re Right - 4/5, this track grew on me... beat is a banger
16. Could’ve Been You (Feat. R. Kelly) - 4/5, the final version on here sounds better than the one that leaked... kinda out of place though for it to be the last song
overall I give this album a solid 4/5, every song was at least decent if not solid except for "Get It Hot", "I Got Swag", and "Baby By Me"... might even cop this one and this will be my first purchase for any G-Unit release since Buck The World, and my first 50 purchase since The Massacre

Well, after 1st listen, definitely better than Curtis. Beats were pretty strong through out. The thing that lets this album down are the hooks. He used to be the master of hooks. Maybe I just need to listen to it more and maybe they'll get better. Can't give this a rating yet.

sounds pretty good, just started playing it. seems real cohesive with the more hardcore sound 5 tracks in, but i know tracks like 'baby by me' are gonna pop up and ruin the vibe.

ok so the second half of the album was a lot weaker. stronger production (eg dre/khalil) would have made it possible to pull off a whole album with this kind of vibe properly. as it is the production is kinda cheap in places.
final version of 'could've been you' was kinda crappy too, exactly the same beat with an extra corny verse from 50. also very random as the last track.

b) His hook game has fallen off drastically
c) A lot of the beats are very cheap, mixtape sounding which is such a waste considering he has access to the Aftermath studios.
d) This is the 3rd album from him (Curtis, T.O.S.) which sounds like Dre had very little to do with the album, sounds more like a G-Unit records album. As I predicted he must have been lying about spending more time with Dre & Em this time around because there's no way Dre would let some of those cheap beats on the LP
e) Album lacks those genuine introspective tracks, even when he talks about more personal stuff it's all hidden in some "I'm the best person in the world attitude)
f) he used to have such a melodic flow, now he's completely off beat
On the plus side
a) he definitely stepped it up lyrically
b) keepers are So Disrespectful (some funny disses), Psycho (great Dre beat and good chemistry with Em), Hold Me Down (nice melodic flow), Stretch (again very funky melodic track), Ok You're Right (banging Dre beat, good for the ride), Could've Been You

Curtis is miles ahead of this one. Both are albums with no cohesive feel, just random tracks thrown together but at least on Curtis the production was better, his hooks were on point most of the time and he had his normal voice.

a.) the new voice definitely seems influenced by em's new style... can't say I love it but it fits on a few songs. def shouldnt be on every one
b.) ehh.. i think it has more to do with the kinds of beats he's using now. It's alot easier to do a hook to a melodic track than to these more grimy new york beats

e.) this is one of my main problems with it too. He's on that superman shit, and I really wanted to hear some deeper shit (which from some of his vids/interviews I felt was coming). This is one of the reasons I really like the Massacre (sometimes I think more than GRoDt :-X)

hopefully he re-records this one and makes it better because as it stands it's really not that good. in fact i can't think of one song other than "ok you're right" that had a bangin beat. lyrically it isn't horrible(on a few tracks it is)but fifty's flow ain't too good plus the hooks sound uninspired. i didn't like "curtis" either but it's a much better album than this. production sounds cheap and lazy.

That's another problem of mine, you got all the money in the world why in the fuck would you want to make a grimey album. 50 needed to reinvent himself but not by going backwards. But let's say you can ignore that, if you make a grimey album at least have quality production, if not you sound like an undeground broke rapper who can't afford better beats. Raekwon pulled off a grimey album after 10 years because he had production to back it up imo.

Average. After a few listens I think this is about as good as CURTIS... maybe a bit worse. I don't want to call it his weakest album untill I listen to it more, but overall I'm a bit dissappointed considering this is supposedly his last album for Aftermath/Shady. First half was aggressive... then it just went downhill. Most of the later songs were trash, imo. Dre clearly didn't have much influence on this album as claimed by others.
My favourite songs:
1) Strong Enough
2) Death To My Enemies
3) Psycho
4) I Got Swag
5) Could've Been You
Everything else is either "meh", average or garbage, imo.

It's no coincidence that Psycho is by far the best track on the album. From his vocals, hook, delivery... you can tell that track was made with Dre & Em in the studio. Great track.

It does, its like he didn't plan the tracks positioning. Its like he just chose the tracks for use, then chucked them on in that order. What are Baby By Me and Could've Been You doing at the end. Baby By Me should of been about track 4 or something (preferably Get Up instead of it) and Could've Been You shouldn't be last track. For me last track should of been Crime Wave.

The Death To My Enemies beat was an annoying loop when i first played, now i cant stop playing. The sorta 50/Dre i wanna hear.

6. Hold Me Down: 4.9/5 - its been done before, but i love it. the way he says "DOWWWWN" on the hook is kinda annoying to me tho, sounds weird.
7. Crime Wave: 2.5/5 - mixtape material
8. Stretch: 3/5 - its aight, feels like a waste of a beat
9. Strong Enough: 2.5/5 - he's rapped on so many of these kinds of tracks.. and this is a weaker one. meh

15. Ok, You’re Right: 4/5 - its solid, but I don't love it. this track especially wouldve been better with either his GRoDT or Massacre flows
16. Could’ve Been You: - 4/5 - idk where he gets off puttin this as the outro. i like the track but something really seems off to me with the drums/bassline.
overall: maybe a 6.5/10 - far too one-note, way too top-heavy, and there's some really cheap sounding beats. Which isn't what we expect to get (or should get) from a star of 50's caliber.
GRoDT & Massacre > Curtis & BSiD. Too lazy to think about specifics... though if you add the best tracks from this, curtis, and ToS you'd end up with a pretty alright album :P

my only complaint about this was his choice of order for the tracklisting.
plus i think he should of made some like "real deep, like emotional, farewell, it's over, it's been amazing" type of track to finish it; if this is going to be his last album (we'll see).

Fifs hook game really fell way the fuck off with this, he needs to get rid of about 4 or 5 tracks, beats sound cheap and hooks are just uninspired. He needed more Dre joints, Get Up and I Get It In shoulda definitely been on here, aswell as full version of "Shut Your Bloodclot Mouth"...

The leak is most likely someone within 50s camp knowingly or someone at interscope most likely tryna do 50 a favour...or thinkin they doin him some help and trying to get his release date pushed up so he dont have to compete with everyone. Especially after how he must have felt stupid with the kanye defeat now a second with rick ross at his case all day even though 50 made him look stupid too many times, it won't be a good look. So this leak COULD be good for him. We'll see though. Would be a waste to push it back now.

The boom-bap sounds more raw (like pre-get rich), the second sounds like polished gangsta (more like Get Rich material). The second half of the album - basically everything after strong enough isn't that great.

Gangsta's delight is preety cool too... i hope they record some new shit for the november 23rd release 8) more khalil, more dre, more mr. porter more Em.

i first listened it in my car, so first half of it and couple of joints in the end of the record (ok youre right) was sounding superior. After like 3 listens i can say that its pretty good

It's alright. Lyrically, 50 comes through. Some of the beats are grimey, but some are pop-trash.
Overall it's OK, but 50's last two mixtapes were better than this. BISD sounds like leftovers from War Angel and Forever King.

After quick skim through, only three tracks stood out for me. Death to my enemies, psycho and so disrespectful.
So disrespectful bangs like a muthafucker, death to my enemies got a nice raw beat to it, suprised dre did it to be honest, just doesnt sound like his mixing, sounds abit raw, but i like it. 50 flow on the third verse was liive, should have spit like that througout the joint, would have been more instant imo. Psycho is heated, 50 hook is fire but so disrespectful sounds like the best joint for me so far. 50 sound like he was during the grodt era imo on this joint.
everything else sound like skip/passive listening music on first listen. I'll give this a proper listen tonight but right now, its not terrible but its nowhere near dope either. But its got three dope joints on it...im even suprised with that to be honest lol

That's pretty much what I think but I also liked Hold Me Down and Stretch because it's reminiscent of the old days when 50 had the melodic flow. Then there's Ok You'Re Right (mainly because of the beat but 50 is cool) and Could've Been You (real nice for a chick track, great beat from Khalil too)

1. The Invitation - Real intro appropriate. beat is pretty solid. hook is better than average. 50 sounds more hungry on here than he normally does nowadays. - 4/5
2. Then Days Went By - Hot, soulful beat. Raw, grimey, boom bap. Flow is decent. Hook is eyy. At times, comes off as a cheap, mixtape cut. Ok song though. - 3.5/5
3. Death To My Enemies - HOT Dre beat 8) Hook is ok. 50 raps on this pretty hot though. - 4/5
4. So Disrespectful - 50 going in on this one lol. He at his best on shit like this. Beat is hot 2. Hook is decent. - 4.5/5
5. Psycho Ft. Eminem - Whats new? 'Nother hot Dre beat. Hook is much better on this one. 50 flowed his ass off on this. Clear Dre bring the best outta' 'em. No accent = hot Em verse. He rapped nice on here. - 5/5
6. Hold Me Down - 50s slower, stop, pause (whatever u wanna' call it) flow works on here. Beat is ok. Some corny lines at times. Hook is eyy. - 3.25/5
7. Crime Wave - I like this shit. That "no no no" in the background is tiiiight. This shit is grimey. Def 1 of my favorite joints. - 4.5/5
8. Stretch - This beat hot 2. Another good, hood sounding joint. - 4/5

My biggest beef with the album is the track listing positioning on certain cuts and as mentioned, 50s hook game has diminished pretty badly. As of right now, I think this is better than Curtis though, which had more 1-2/5 songs than this album (Get It Hot only).
My concern is the replay value of some of tracks I like so far (Stretch & Strong Enough to mention 2).

As ive said before replace get it hot with they burn me, hold me down with sunday morning and baby by me with get up and to me youve got an equal to GRODT. I'm confused at this recent hook bashing that's been occurring in the past year or so. Drake gets it a lot and so does 50. If you can do your own hooks that's talent. A hook is often a croon. It's often supposed to be smooth. I respect artist more when they do their own hooks even if it's not 100% top notch. For example, Game's hooks aren't 100 but I'd rather him try and release the material then him consistently have some feature.
BISD album has plenty of flaws. I barely listen to anything past the 9th track but it's not as bad as you're saying.
Additionally, every time an album drops it doesn't have to reinvent the game. 50 said he's doing hardcore rap and has stuck to that since he came into the game. That's what he's selling and you have to be oblivious to that if you expect anything else from him. People hate on 50 for this but they love Raekown for sticking to his guns with his recent album.
I don't think this is on a Get Rich level. There's room for improvement but it's not some shit album like you're dismissing it as.

Although i agree with Actions last post 50 said he was coming with some grimey shit and thats what he done. Obviously hes got the mainstream style tracks on there, what artist of his calibare wouldnt.
I feel this is a big step up from curtis and am fairly happy with the result. The albums been pushed forward a week or so, hopefully they will change a few tracks to make it more of a solid album. Also im looking forward to seeing the film and documentry that come with the album.

On The Power Of The Dollar he had an outstanding energy and some nice hooks. On GRODT he lost his enegry but improved hooks. Beats were amazing and overall it was a good album. Massacre had few bangers but overall it was average one. Curtis and BISD = :puke:

I agree, if you're good at doing hooks, its a gift within itself. 50 is def good at hooks, something not many rappers can say, eminem/snoop and a few others can be put into this section too but overall most rappers cant do hooks.
However 50s hooks on this in general fell off, though the hook on psycho is 50 at his best.
If you aint good at hooks though, you should get people to do your hooks in general though, do your own hooks once in a while but in general get someone who will add to the track instead of you bringing the track down with a weaker hook...alot of rappers do that and it makes sense. If you can't sing, dont.

The albums a lil dissapointing, i mean there are some really good songs on it but some of the street songs sound too forced and the mainstream tracks are all ruined by little things (sample on Baby By Me, crap hook on Do You Think About Me, Kells on Could've Been You) usually 50s mainstream songs are bumpable and fit in the album whereas these just sound like they were added to the tracklist
The most dissapointing thing about the album though is the production, i know he wanted it to sound grimey and street but some of the beats just sound cheap, which is annoying since 50 surely can't have a small album budget :-\

I'll say this, Curtis and BISD do suffer from poorer production than Get Rich or Massacre. This is most likely due to the mixing phase. The beats themselves aren't necessarily bad. Matter of fact I think both have really dope beats but they all suffer from poor mixing. I guess that's the genius of Dr.Dre.

I get that 50 wanted this album to have that grimy, street influenced, mixtape vibe to it...but he might've overdone it by picking some of these tracks. The average mixtape costs $5, a retail release costs about $15. There's a reason for that.

I got this yesterday. The movie was so so but I liked the album.. Tho I've only listened to it while playing modern warfare2 so I haven't really concentrated on it lol ;D But so far I'm liking the first half of the album 8)

01. The Invitation - Rather dull beat. 50 sounds hungry and focused but the subject matter is so 6 years ago. Not a good way to start the album imo, showing that that the whole project is gonna be about recreating that GRODT feel, acting like he's still in the "hood" 2/5
02. Then Days Went By - Now that's better. Again talking about the street life but this time in the past, some nice storytelling about when he first had sex, how his mother thought he was smoking crack.. Again the flow is on point and he's not sounding lazy at all. Unfortunately the track is dragged down by the terrible hook and another amateur sounding beat. He really should've used that bridge as the hook, would be one of his best tracks (The Lord don't have imperfections baby,
so I think I'm perfect the way he made me.. some say I'm cool, some say I'm crazy.. Some say I ain't shit..some say I'm amazing) 4/5
03. Death To My Enemies Crazy Dre beat, sounds like it was tailor made for 50. Again 50 sounds on point (especially the 3rd verse) but once again the subject matter is played out, something that he has done 100x before. This could've easily been on GRODT but that is also the biggest problem of this track (he keeps trying to make another GRODT, no growth) 3/5
04. So Disrespectful Now that's that classic cocky 50 Cent track. He sounds relaxed and in the zone. It's not Ether or anything but a funny diss nonetheless. Nice piano drop from The Bizness, 50's flow is perfect for the track 5/5
05. Psycho Lovely Dre beat that sounds like it was made during the Relapse session, gotta love that orchestra vibe in the chorus. First chorus that's up to 50's standards. 50 sounded kinda uncomfortable trying to follow Em's fast paced flow but still nothing to be mad about. Em did his thing 4/5
06. Hold Me Down This right here is the 50 Cent that made me a fan in the first place. Great and very catchy hook over a funky beat, singy-song flow adapting to the beat, basically a nice laid back joint. The concept has been done plenty times before but still... 5/5
07. Crime Wave Terrible track. Again with the all the gun and "I'm from the hood" talk. Not to mention another cheap production and a very annoying chorus (that "yeah, yeah!" wtf was he thinking) 1/5
08. Stretch Similar vibe to Hold Me Down. Very catchy hook and another effort of some sort of concept 4/5
09. Strong Enough Skipper. Average track from the production, weak hook, forced "I'm hard" flow. Lyrically it's quite nice though 3/5
10. Get It Hot Worst track so far. Beat sounds like it was made by a Soundclick producer and the track itself is just terrible and as corny as it gets. Some real ABC rhymes from 50 too 1/5
11. Gangsta's Delight Havoc and 50 usually cook up something real nice but this one is one big disappointment. Again sounds like a mixtape track and again nursery rhymes from 50. 2/5
12. I Got Swag I like this one. Cool beat, flow is on point and 50 is always good at this type of tracks. 4/5
13. Baby By Me First single. Nice hook from Ne-Yo and Polow provides a smooth backdrop. 50 doesn't sound bad at all but the biggest problem is that his flow, lyrics sound so predictable and formulated, like he went into the booth thinking "okay this is a club single" 3/5
14. Do You Think About Me I give him props for getting more personal about his relationship with his baby mother but that's where it stops. Boring track with a terrible hook 1/5
15. Ok, You're Right Real ignorant music right here but it works. Epic beat from Dre, on some movie score shit. 4/5

Basically to sum up the cd is dragged down by the majority of the beats sounding too mixtape-ish, weak hooks, predictable and recycled subject matter and most importantly 50 showing no sign of growth as an artist at all. He's still obsessed with GRODT and as long as he'll be in that mind state, well let me quote Jay "men lie women lie, numbers don't"

Yeah bro, Fif seriously had access to some crazy beats for this album. I think some of the tracks could of been mixed better as well
