Title: Crime, Ethnicity & Religion
Post by: nathan57 on November 07, 2009, 01:26:22 PM
Isn't it amazing, that whenever certain ethnic or religious groups, commit a crime or engage in negative behavior, their whole ethnic or religious group is associated with it? But, this very same standard of judgement, is never ever applied to other ethnic or religious groups? For these lucky groups, only the individual or individuals involved are demonized! Have you every wondered Why?
When some Italian Americans, engage in organized crime, their entire community or religion is spared any association with it?
And in the past, when IRA militants used to carry out violent acts, the Irish or Catholics weren't all held responsible for it?
When Timothy Mcveigh and company, were accused of the 'Oklahoma City Bombing' their community or religion escaped any responsibility?
There have been, numerous 'abortion clinic bombings', carried out by white males, but whites as a group are never ever linked to it nor is their religion ever attached to it?
The whole German population, is never ever blamed for the Jewish holocaust nor is their religion, only the nazis are blamed! Slavery and colonialism has never been blamed on the ethnicity or religion of it's perpetrators?
Why are some groups of people, guilty by association, while others are not? Why are similar acts by one group blamed on religion, while by another group simply blamed on the individuals only?
And why is it, that whenever some people engage in violence or some other negative behavior, we are immediately informed about their religion, but for others, we are never told, which religion they belong to? Isn't this strange or is there a good reason for it?

Why is that amazing? You can't single out or identify a majority. There is nothing to distinguish them. The IRA were Irish Catholics doing shit in a place where everyone was irish catholic. So how are other Irish Catholics going to single out Irish Catholics for being Irish Catholics. But once you can distinguish someone then it doesn't matter the race. Go ask a quiet nerd who wore a trench coat in high school just after Columbine if he ever felt singled out by the masses. Or ask a tatted up big bearded Biker walking into a family restaurant thinks he gets looked at weird.

Isn't it amazing how people ignore common sense in an attempt to cry racism?

Yeah right, like 'German' wouldn't equal 'Nazi' for every other idiot. Like school-shootings weren't always connected to whites. ::) But however, people think like that way too often.

That's right, it is indeed a fantastic animal. Despite their funny, chill looks they're often very agressive which amuses me to a point where I decided to have one in my avatar.
Have one, too, some time.
