Tom-I agree.  Im a huge fan of workrate and young talent, but look how many people on this board that had no interest in the current wrestling scene are interested again?  BUt yes-i agree with you but I see why theyd bring them back.  EIther way-WWF is splitting into 2 separate feds soon..so you only have to deal with NWO half the time.

the sad problem with wrestling is this: actual, talented wrestlers aren't interesting.  Charisma is interesting, and Hall, Hogan, and Nash are probably 3 of the most charismatic wrestlers ever.  Personally, I like watching those three just do interviews, I could care less if they ever wrestled.  Same thing with Flair, The Rock, HHH, Austin, Etc.

Wrestling's getting boring right now, because honestly, most of the new talent just don't have the superstar in them.  They need people like Hogan, etc. to elevate them, which Hogan will gladly do, i.e., The warrior, Goldberg, Sting, The Wall, or any of the other guys he's laid down to at the top of his career.

Throughout the show Vince was giving these creepy but awesome interviews.  He talked about how Flair is ruining the WWF and how it has a cancer.  Vince said nobody can kill his creation--and he'll kill it himself instead.  We later find out Vince was talking to the mirror..but as he got up his seat had written in white out nWo.  Good stuff...

And as far as whoever said the WWF doesnt have superstars today and he only watches for the interviews--no offense..but fans like you are whats wrong with wrestling.  Youre the kinda guy that will sit on your chubby hands during a Lance Storm/Chris Benoit match but scream  WHAT during an Austin interview. No superstars??  Austin/HHH/Rock/Taker/Jericho/Angle are all bonafide superstars.

^^ I don't totally agree with you sugefight. I wouldn't say that Trauma, or whoever you are pointing that comment to are bad for the wrestling world. I am a huge Hogan fan from back in the day also, so I am glad to see that he is coming back. However, I also enjoy watching midcard talent like Storm, Hurricane, ect. I think this will be good overall for the wwf. Even if it does depush guys like storm, edge, christian, and so on, there will be at least a million or 2 million more veiwers every week now that WILL see them eventually. Who knows, maybe some of these younger talents will hook up with the NWO and get some badly needed spotlight? I guess I'm just trying to say that I think you can like both the old superstars and the new, and not be "bad" for the wrestling biz. I think the split will be good for wrestling, and everyone will hopefully get alot of exposure.

It's rumored that Hogan signed his contract today at the Titan Towers and Nash and Hall were also there for a meeting.

Hall/Nash could very well debut on next week's Raw and hype up thw nWo until they make the huge debut of Hogan at the No Way Out PPV.

If thats true awesome shit is gonna go down in the wrestling world.

Dude, lets get real.  I'm 23, and when I was 4, I remember watching Hulk Hogan with my GRANDMA on t.v. each week.  That's how big hogan is... Austin/The Rock/HHH/Undertaker/Jericho, but NOT angle all got over by being rebellious punks on television, feuding with authority figures like some adolescent pimple faced 15 year old who thinks his life is hard because Mommie won't let him stay out past midnight.

Hogan got over, wayyy over, by being a good guy, and a positive role model.  The only one in the WWF right now I can give that credit to is Kurt Angle.  I love Rock/Austin/HHH/Jericho/Undertaker/Angle, and they deserve their due, and a few of them are as big as Hogan.  But you can never take anything away from Hogan for doing it first, and for being the draw that he continues to be today.  Plus, my grandma can watch him, without me feeling ashamed of it, or her getting embarassed by it.

I'm not saying there's no place for actual wrestlers in wrestling today, but it's just that while I enjoy their matches, I mark out for the interviews/shoots/backstage stuff.  I love the drama, just like everybody else, that's why ecw is out of business and wwf is big buisness.  Hogan is one of the best at this, so of course i'm looking forward to him coming back.

You know what I think's gonna happen? They're gonna bring him in with the intention of jobbing him to everybody under the sun, but after a week or two, it'll become apparent that he's a bigger star than anybody else on the roster, and after he starts stealing HHH's heat, Austin's heat, and even the Rock's heat, they'll eventually give him the belt, which will no doubt piss all the 'marks' off on the internet.  Again.

Hogan has always been my favorite, but I'd like to see him fight McMahon as oppose to being in the nWo. I'd like to see Shawn Michaels, X-Pac, Justin Credible, and the Outsiders, and possibly Triple H as the main nWo members. Hogan should fight Vince to see who is responsible for the WWF's up rising in 80's. That'd be tight as hell. Also Mr. Perfect and Big Show are former members of the nWo, and they'd make good members as well. Oh shit, I love the nWo, I can't wait for this Monday, too bad I don't got TNN on this campus.

Yeah, its gonna be a big thing since the roster split is coming up which means half of the superstars are gonna join the nWo. I just hope they don't fuck it up like that Alliance angle.

heres some articles I found having to do with the NWO thing, (i got them both today):

NEW YORK, New York (TRP) — Earlier today, it is being reported by
sources very close to Top Rope Newsletter, that Scott Hall, Kevin Nash,
and Hulk Hogan all met with Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling
Federation to discuss the future of the nWo angle in the WWF.

One of the major reasons for the meeting was so the WWF could finish
negotiations with Hogan and hopefully get him to sign an official WWF
contract.  Word currently has it that one snag in the operations is the
fact that Hogan wants Jimmy Hart to return to the WWF in some capacity
(not necessarily on-air.)

The two have been together for almost twenty-five years and were both
working on the XWF project before being contacted by the WWF.  It might
also be on the WWF's mind to take Hart away from the XWF as they did
have a big presence at a recent NAPTE Convention in Las Vegas earlier
this week, some say even bigger than the WWF's presence at the event.

Nevertheless, all three men met with WWF officials today in New York and
it seems as if things were going smoothly.  Top Rope Newsletter should
have a report from the meetings in our next issue.

Here is the other one:

STAMFORD, Conn. (TRP) — According to Dave Meltzer, earlier today, Hulk
Hogan officially signed a contract with the World Wrestling Federation.
His first appearance with the company will be the first time The
Hulkster, one of the most widely known professional wrestlers of all
time, he has appeared with the WWF in nine years.

Meltzer reports that Hogan signed his contract while in the meeting with
Vince McMahon, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and other WWF officials in
Stamford, Connecticut.  Details about his contract, as well as those of
Hall and Nash, have not been released and probably will not be either.

As far as the future of the nWo goes, things are still up in the air.
Word has it that the entity will not debut until February, at the
earliest.  They may be held off until the No Way Out (ironically
initialed NWO) pay-per-view as well, but this reporter highly doubts
that.

Currently, the group consists of the three members of Hall, Nash, and
Hogan, but, like in World Championship Wrestling, it is expected to grow
each week.

More should be available on the future of the nWo in upcoming issues of
Top Rope Newsletter.

I hope hogan's on t.v. tommorow, but I doubt it.  Either way, I'm taping it.

Yall don't understand how hard it is to be a Hogan fan.  The Man ain't been on t.v. in 2 years.  At least he did have the belt last time we saw him, LOL.

Oh, I Just thought... Wouldn't it be awesome, if Hogan came out, destroyed somebody, (chris Jericho?) then started saying that he never lost his belt, cuss Vince Russo out, say he wants a match, right here, right now, he's back for what's his, grrrrrrrr  etc. etc. That would be the best angle ever, as far as sheer shock value.

Hey... Hogan lost both WCW and WWF titles the last time he was in either federation. WCW he had that whole Vince Russo thing, and in WWF he lost to Yokozuna (R.I.P.) after the camra man busted his face.

There are rumors goin around that the nWo is not going to show up to an event until the No Way Out PPV, however, remember the nWo promos in black and white? Well, those are suppose to air on T.V. on every Raw and Smackdown leading up to No Way Out. They will say "This is a paid advertisement by Vince McMahon and the nWo" just like it they did similar in the WCW days.

Also, another rumor that leaked from a WWF writer on a radio show said that this Thursday on Smackdown, Ric Flair will sell his stock back to Vince giving Vince full power and he will fire Flair. McMahon will also call the whole nWo thing off but Eric Bishoff will come out and tell Vince they are going to take over whether he likes it or not. Vince will play the face and also hire back Flair to combat the nWo.

Now if the angle takes place that way then it would be a dream come true.
