Title: Snoop Dogg has become a disgrace to rap music - Tits & ass volume 2
Post by: Dre-Day on December 01, 2009, 08:25:48 AM
first Ego Trippin', now this:

Pronto - corny :-X you on some T-Pain shit 3,5/10

That's Tha Homie - it's slightly better than the first track, but the clich south imitations got to stop - 4,5/10

Different Languages - nice smooth track, this is catchy 8) - 7/10 for now

1800 - another corny track  :-X - 4/10

Pimpin ain't EZ - not bad, but it's not something for me - 5/10

Gangsta Luv - yet another corny track  :-X - 4/10

I Wanna Rock - boring - 4,5/10

Upside Down - be original - 4/10

Special - not bad, but it's not for me - 5/10

Luv drunk - speaking of sloppy - 4,5/10

Secrets - not bad, but it sounds like a song from the 80's - 5/10

2 minute warning - Snoop probably thought oh i almost forgot about the malice part. it's not good enough though - 5/10

this album is slightly better than Ego Trippin', but overall it's mediocre - 4,5/10.
i stated before that Snoop should retire, and i state it again.

For 2009 standards this album knocks! But the southern influenced tracks are unlistenable for me. Pronto, Thats The Homie, 1800 & Upside Down are straight garbage!

i think its a nice album it follows a concept with malice and wonderland.. Malice being the first half of the albums, with the club bangers. Wonderland being the the songs for the girls and the more laid back songs..

Well, I just gave thia album a fair shot and I've listened to this shit but that didn't help a lot.. I still consider this to be the wackest solo album from Snoop I've ever heard and I always though he ain't never gone be able to do worst shit than "Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not To De Told" or "R&G" - well, sadly I was wrong..!

BEST TRACKS: Secrets, Different Languages

Listenable Tracks: I Wanna Rock, Pimpin' Ain't EZ, Special (Huge propz to Snoop for bringing DJ EZ Dick 8))

REST OF THE ALBUM = GARBAGE!

after first listen, I liked Ego Trippin alot more... but this album was straight for what it is, a more pop/feel good record

best tracks for me: "I Wanna Rock", "2 Minute Warning", "Gangsta Luv", "That's The Homie", "Upside Down", and "Secrets"

Post by: Lunatic on December 01, 2009, 12:48:51 PM
1. Intro - Disappointing since Snoop always has the best Intro's
2. I Wanna Rock - 4/5. Impressed with this track. The beat is hot as hell. I thought it was gonna be a lot cornier since it's supposed to be a "jerk" track.
3. 2 Minute Warning - 4/5 - Snoop sounds good on this shit. Sounds like one of his dope mixtape cuts. Too bad it's so short. Still a hot cut to include on the album.
4. 1800 Ft. Lil Jon - 3/5 - Can see this being a single down the line, and a successful one at that. It's typical Lil Jon southern stuff though. Just slightly gets a pass. (3)

5. Different Languages Ft. Jazmine Sullivan - 3.75/5 - Piano is hot on here. Jazmine is a very good singer. Hate to say it but Latoiya Williams would have sounded really good on here. But I'm not complaining with Jazmine.
6. Gangsta Luv' Ft. The-Dream - 3.25/5 - Everybody heard this one by now. It's alright.
7. Pronto Ft. Soulja Boy - 2/5 - I really like the beat but Soulja Boy is so wack lol. Beat is the only good thing about this here.
8. That's Tha Homie - 2.75/5 - Didn't really like this since it first leaked. Screwed hooks are so over used and the hook is pretty annoying. Beat is decent. Just better than a fail.

9. Upside Down Ft. Nipsey Hussle & Problem - 3.75/5 - Hope we're hearing two future west coast stars on here. Not sure about Nipsey saying this is a huge hit. Beat is decent. Problem is alright on the hook. Highlight of the track is definitely the Nipsey verse.

10. Secrets Ft. Kokane - 4.5/5 - Surprised to see this on here. Kokane back on a Snoop track is a good look. Woah BattleCat dropped a monster of a beat  :o  I like how the first two minutes is just Kokane pretty much.

11. Pimpin' Ain't EZ Ft. R. Kelly - 4/5 - Nottz did his thing. Snoop/Kellz with another banger. I love this shit here. Kellz is real dope on here. That's That Shit was a bit better.
12. Luv' Drunk Ft. The-Dream - 3.25/5 This has a very Dream feel to it. Sounds like something off his album. I like Dream.
13. Special Ft. Pharrell & Brandy - 4.25/5 Smooth ass Neptunes beat. I thought this was gonna be worse due to some comments I saw. I really like this. Snoop/Pharrell got that good chemistry.
14. Outro  - N/A

Best tracks:
Secrets
Special
Pimpin Ain't EZ
I Wanna Rock
2 Minute Warning

This album has snoop's worst Intro.
Best are : I wanna Rock, 2 minutes warning and Secrets.
Think Different Languages will be a grower, love the beat but not the singing part.
No replay value : Luv Drunk and Special. Not sure about Pronto but nice beat.
Rest is Ok. 3/5 at best.

snoop might normally drop a 18/19 track album with 6 or so bad, skippable tracks. this time he's coming out with a 12/13 track LP but still with 6/7 bad, skippable tracks. anyone else notice the problem here?

'different languages' and 'secrets' are real nice though 8)

I haven't listened yet, but have really low expectations. I'll definitely give it an honest shot though as usual.

Snoop is still a household name and is expected to bring in sales. With that said, i think this album is gonna outsell Ego Trippin. All he had last album for a hit was "sexual seduction" and nothing after that. This album has way more single potential.

Gangsta Luv & I Wanna Rock videos have already debuted. Videos for Upside Down & Pronto are already shot and debuting after the album is out/or a few days before the album drops. I can see Pronto being huge. Not sure on Upside Down though.

If he wants to take it further, videos for '1800' and 'special' would also do pretty well imo.

It's not as bad as some people are saying. The thing is that it's kinda all over the place, no real vibe. If you compare it to Ego Trippin that had a vibe but Snoop sounded lazy. On this one he sounds more focused and hungry, lots of single potential also. I just wish he did more tracks like "2 Minute Warning", that track right here reminds me why Snoop is my favorite.

Have to give it more spins before I get that final feeling for the album.

After one listen, this very might be the worst Snoop album ever, and that says a whole lot, considering albums like Da Game Is To Be Sold & Rhytm and Gangsta.

Only 2-3 listenable tracks, no really dope cuts.. it's moronic to leave off tracks like "World Of A Gangsta" & "Protocol", but they're actually decent, so I guess that would mess up the flow of the album.

This albums gets a big (http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/Themes/dubcc/images/post/thumbdown.gif) from me, might be the worst album of the year.

Snoop: "I'm at the BET awards, sitting in disgust. It's still a G-thang, but yet they wanna be us."
Jome: I'm listening to Snoops latest, shaking my head in disgust.  :grumpy:

Secrets 5/5 For me

Different vibe  for a snoop album.. 2 minute warning is great but way too short, then we have 3 songs about Shante, my only issue is the track with soljah Boy and the lil jon track...other than that its a cool record, and the mixed version of Pimpin aint EZ is the shit.. good album, dont know bout the replay value. but its a good album to vibe to when u have peeps over,

Best tracks

2minute Warning
Different Languages
Pimpin Aint EZ
Special
Luv Drunk
I wanna Rock
Upside Down
Thats The Homie

I already skip the rest... good album not wat I expected for sure but its not bad

Special...is the only track that I didn't skip over after a min of play....I guess I'm just too old for this shit anymore. The problem with this album is that Snoop no longer embraces his roots aka Cali sound. He's just trying to sell albums to all these young kids that like Soulja Boy. I don't understand how some people can say this is better than Ego Trippin. That album didn't have much replay value, but some of Snoop's best work is on there. With only 4 good tracks (of which Secrets is by far the best) this album doesn't even come close to Ego Trippin.

after one and a half spin I think I came to the conclusion this is Snoop's worst album

1. Snoop Dogg - Intro (0:13)
-

2. Snoop Dogg - I Wanna Rock (3:55)
not good

3. Snoop Dogg - 2 Minute Warning (1:53)
nice joint

4. Snoop Dogg - 1800 (featuring Lil Jon) (3:35)
not good

5. Snoop Dogg - Different Languages (featuring Jazmine Sullivan) (4:44)
nice piano. i'm not sure about the rest, but this might grow on me

6. Snoop Dogg - Gangsta Luv (featuring The-Dream) (4:16)
not good

7. Snoop Dogg - Pronto (featuring Soulja Boy Tell 'Em) (4:57)
not good

8. Snoop Dogg - That's Tha Homie (5:43)
not good

9. Snoop Dogg - Upside Down (featuring Nipsey Hussle & Problem) (4:44)
not good

10. Snoop Dogg - Secrets (featuring Kokane) (4:53)
this'll get a lot of spins from me this month!!

11. Snoop Dogg - Pimpin Ain't EZ (featuring R Kelly) (4:12)
good song! i've already played the shit out of this, but i'm not tired of it yet!

12. Snoop Dogg - Luv Drunk (featuring The-Dream) (3:55)
not good

13. Snoop Dogg - Special (featuring Brandy & Pharrell) (5:26)
mediocre

14. Snoop Dogg - Outro (1:31)
-

Easily agree..i almost rate all the songs the same and this is coming froma huge snoop fan (i think ego trippin is WAYYYYYY better than thisl; however, i think "World of a Gangsta" is snoops best track in years!...I love the teddy riley track, pimpin aint ez, secrets

2 minute warning
Secrets
Pimpin Aint EZ
Different Languages

^^ 4-5/5 Very good!!

Upside Down
I wanna Rock
Special
Gangsta Luv

^^ 3-3.5/5 Good

1 800
Pronto
Luv Drunk
Thats The Homie

^^1- 2/5 Average but I understand why Snoop put them on

by adding Protocol (mixed and mastered), Word Of A Gangsta ft. Harvey Keitel (one of the greatest actors ever on the track!!!!), Let It Rain (prod by Scott Storch) it would be very good release.

The good parts I should say: the women, the restaurants, the wrap parties, I only lived there for a year while I worked for a few different tv/movie companies. I like to remember the baller shit, not the traffic, crime, bullshit factor of living in los angeles, I imagine snoop is trying to do the same thing with this new record.

I agree with a lot of the posts here it sounds like snoop is trying too hard to appeal to the youngters. Only jams im feelin are  2 minute warning and secrets. This gonna be the first snoop album I skip from buying I wasn't expecting much and it some how still managed to be worse then I thought it would be. How does snoop not see a album strictly overseen by dre as a no brainer for sales? I also think he shoulda done maybe like a double disc one disc malice n the other wonderland but who does that shit now days.

Wacknes from start to finish, silly lollipop lyrics over very shitty southern beats.

Have to give it more spins before I get that final feeling for the album.
that's because you like club music

Kept 3:
Code: [Select]
-2 Minute Warning
-Secrets (featuring Kokane)
-Pimpin Ain't EZ (featuring R Kelly)
out of 12
=
1.7/5 (slightly better than Ego Trippin)

Im 30 yrs old and i aint feeling this crap one bit. Some of the content may be more mature like the ones you mentioned but the sound still seems to be aimed to a more younger crowd with songs like pronto, upside down, gangsta luv. and on top of that how is he gonna throw a 5 yr old track like special on this album when it only consists of 12 songs...if you ask me snoop be a lazy bastard and he needs to retire already if hes gonna continue to put out mediocore crap.

Well after like 4,5 listens I think this is the worst Snoop Dogg album ever and this not because of quality music, because it dont sound
like an album, to me it sounds like a bunch of different songs (sometimes old) that he puts together to make a (half)full lenght disc
It was supposed to have a concept but to me the only concept I feel is the dedication to his wife thats all...
Now if we're talkin about THE music, half on the disc aint album material to me... songs like "I Wanna Rock", "Pronto", "Thats Tha Homie" sound like mixtape tracks
I think that Lil Jon track is coo but still dont fit a Snoop album, both Terrace Martin songs are coo depsite the fact that we know the dude can do much better
Both Dream songs are coo but one song should have been enough on the record... R. Kelly song has a different mixing so its a lil bit weird
The R&G leftover is coo but its an old song  ??? same thing for Secrets even if its definitely my favorite song on the album
And ok that Jazmine Sullivan assisted track is off the chain and I think its the only record that deserve to be on the album cause I really feel like its a "REAL PROPER" song

Snoop should retire after releasing 2 garbage albums in a row, or beg Dre to executive produce his next album, cuz Snoop obviously can't pick tracks/beats or guests for shit.

I dont blame Snoop. I blame all the A&R, and the minds behind this project...like wtf were they thinking. they keep fucking on Snoops legacy,  like who encouraged Snoop to get Soljah Boy on there, who decided to put old songs on there,  who doesnt want to spend money on high budget videos, its still a mystery to me, dude got great producers on his team, he got his own band, he could have been easy for him to drop a classic. but he keeps fucking up,   I dont know what he is trying to prove seriously,

Snoop needs a big change, and good guidance, cuz this album is his worst. not in terms of songs but songs dont flow well there aint no vibe...

Im disapointed really best song is Different Languages

I haven't listened to all the tracks yet, will get around to it on Sunday, but wow this shiit is hella disappointing.  And I thought Ego Trippin' was a disaster...so far this sounds like a disc straight for the $2 bin on its first week out.

I've listened to the tracks y'all have been giving positive reviews of so far, and what are you guys smoking?  "Secrets" is just plain and boring and has no musical progression (chord progression on the beat), Kokane doesn't harmonize at all memorably so he just sounds...there...Snoop is ok but also he's just on the track like whatever...

Different Languages has a nice beat but it sounds suitable for Ego Trippin...and again the subject matter is boring and nothing worth investing any effort as a listener to "get into" the track.

2 minute warning is just too short to even get into.

And that was my reaction so far to the alleged good songs  :o

This could turn out to be Snoop's worst album.

Really? Sounds like he didn't listen to the poor feedback Ego Tripping got. He got it right with "Blue Carpet Treatment" and he got the feedback too. Snoop wants to make shit that sells, I honestly believe he could give a fuck about his fans opinions, if he did, he would make a whole Westcoast album with Battlecat, Fred Wreck, Dre and the usual suspects

I haven't had a chance to listen yet.  I'll probably check out the clips on amazon.com and, if anything, just buy the songs that I like.  I was concerned about how this album was going to turn out, and unfortunately, after reading some of the posts on here, I'm afraid I may have been right.  And it's not as though I'm a "Snoop Dogg hater." Over the years, I'd say I've bought most of his albums. I would like to see Snoop do well.  It would be great if he dropped another classic album.  But even back when the track list for this was posted, it looked to me as though this might not be the kind of Snoop album that I would be interested in hearing.  I have to admit, I kind of do like the single.  But on the other hand, if it is at all indicative of how the entire album sounds, I don't know if I could take an entire Snoop album that sounds like that.  I will still check it out, but I just get the feeling that this is going to mostly sound like an overly commercial, poppy sounding album.  I guess those that have already listened to it can tell me whether or not I'm right or wrong about that.

You only wanna see Dr. Dre would work with Snoop Dogg again so y'all can critisize it (most of the same ppl on here who bombard every thread).  i haven't even listened to the album (but i check the mixtape) and i/most people already knew that is was gonna have a bad reception bcuz Snoop wasn't holding a harmanica and a 45 (even tho that would be hot) or Dr. Dre wasn't producing.

But i feel neutral about it, on 1 hand i fuck wit Snoop bcuz i fuck wit Snoop - and on the other hand i'm not exactly the greatest supporter of RnB Snoop Dogg (but i am checkin for the 9id album lol).  I'll give it a listen, just not now, truthfully i could care less (about anything lol).

Snoop definitely still has it in him but he needs guidance desperately. And people need to stop acting like BCT was great, another album that was all over the place filled with fillers, "Imagine" was the only song worth keeping in the 2nd half of the album. Not to mention that the whole cd had zero replay value. Rhythm and Gangsta was the last Snoop album that was dope.

Just listened to the whole album, and wow -- it's atrocious.  No great songs, one good song (Different Languages), some average songs, including Secrets (boring singing and Snoop is too quick for the beat), Two Minute Warning (ok mixtape track), That's tha Homie, Upside Down...and the rest are below average.

At least Ego Trippin had two great songs (Neva Have 2 Worry and Can't Say Goodbye) and one good song (Press Play), and the rest were around average.

All in all, no contest, Mietek is correct as usual -- Ego Trippin shiits on this...and that's saying something, because Ego Trippin itself doesn't hold a candle to Blue Carpet Treatment or R&G or the ones before it.

Admittedly, I never purchased or even bothered to listen to "Da Game is to be Sold," but having said that, this is certifiably Snoop's worst album.  And for the first time in a decade, I'm not buying Snoop's new album.

It was a great CD & Imagine is overrated, there's a whole bunch of songs on that CD that are better. People need to get it through their heads that songs without Dre can actually be better than songs with him ;)

+1, Imagine is overrated as hell, people trippin.

I told y'all he was gonna get on the Jerkin tip, it was too big for him to ignore here.

I gotta finish listenin, but it sounds decent so far...not many standout tracks. That Soulja Boy track is weak to me, I can name 4-5 Soulja songs I like waaaay more, which might sound backwards here but it's truth.

I still aint heard but i recently got Warren-g's "g-files" and i really like it. I usually would not like an album so saturated with R&B at all and would've hated it in my younger days but the album is so well produced and has a really good feel about it.
Iam hopeing i'll feel the same way about Snoop's album. Iam expecting to be the sort of album that you'll have to be in the right sort oif mood for, i usually like taht sort of music if iam feeling relaxed or drunk..

Have to give it more spins before I get that final feeling for the album.
that's because you like club music

Kept 3:
Code: [Select]
-2 Minute Warning
-Secrets (featuring Kokane)
-Pimpin Ain't EZ (featuring R Kelly)
out of 12
=
1.7/5 (slightly better than Ego Trippin)

I bought the album yesterday, listened to it in my car. Sounded pretty good, yeah not the sort of Snoop album we actually want, but sounded pretty good. Good driving music.
My biggest critacisim would be how short the album is, too short. Of course it gets a bit soft. Laid back, chill out feel good album.
Album was well produced, IMO, yeah we'd prefer Snoop to work with differant producers but it is well produced. Oh and Soulja boy isnt as bad as i expected, pretty much sounds like most other south rappers but better than some of them.
A Soopafly production and/or feature and Warren-G(Snoop and Warren both seem to be on the same sort of music vibe lately/theyre albums were similar soundin(R&B)) would've been nice.
Gonna give it a more proper listen shortly.

Gave it a decent listen whilst sippin some beers. I dont think the album is shit or totally whack but i do belive that it is Snoops worst album. i actaully do like it, iam a big Snoop fan, it isnt shit but i think its the album i will get into least from him.
Luv drunk cool as fuck beat, Crooked i would sound so dope over that beat, even though it aint teh sort of song Crook would do.
 Special cool as fuck also.
Album is just too soft and short. I agree with previous posts, not enough stand out tracks or replay value.
Its an ok album but not great. I think Snoop really needs another TBCT type effort after this one.
Needs to do some tracks with his DPG crew again.
I liek Warren-G's album alot better than Snoops.

All the newspapers i have read so far gives the new Snoop album average rating 3 stars out off 5 or 6, the main reason why they give it average rating is becouse off the first half off the album. 2 tracks that messed up the album was 1800 and Pronto..

If "world off a gangsta" and "protocol" was on instead off "Pronto" and "1800" the album would have been better??

hmm.. i dunno. it depends on wether the trax he wrote for Calvin gets spins on the radio. without spins on the radio, it cant generate any publishing for Problem... just because u write lyrics for an A-Game artist it dont mean u get caked up. just ask Skillz who wrote for P. Diddy & Will Smith..

Theres a few like-able songs on this album but nothing that is a straight heater to me and what really annoys me is that fact that snoop a grown ass man is trying to appease to such a young crowd. I mean he has a song like i wanna rock that aint too bad but its obviously a jerkin song and how is he gonna make a song promoting this jerkin movement if he aint even into that dance craze himself? If you ask me thats just being a poser supportin something that you aint even part of. I know at the end of the day its all about making money but i just wish he would make something thats stronger cause at the end of the day this jerkin thing and soulja boy is a fad thats gonna be dying out real quick.

I actually can listen to the album without skipping a track. Just need to get past it not really feeling like a Snoop album, like, the songs are not what we really want or necessarily expect from Snoop, but they are good songs.
Admittedly though, i cut Snoop alot more slack, like if it wernt Snoop i probably wouldnt of given the album a second chance and only he can get away with doing songs with Soulja boy..
The album is just very modern, i guess you could say evolved(refering to comments i see posted on this forum), universal, commercial, etc.
I dont think its time to retire, just hook up with teh right producers and actually make music with your crew/freinds/dpg..

Long Beach Is Active, dude, u gotta stop being biased when it comes to Snoop, he is without a doubt one of the best artists since forever, but with this album he just went the wrong way and fucked up. I mean its clear that dude is your favorite artist, there is too many of us here that feel the same and follow Snoop since day one, but what makes you a good fan is also ability to drop some real criticism when its time for it, and this is definitely that time. This album is too short, has too many weak songs, too many shitty cheap southern sounding beats, has no concept at all..etc etc. He should have stayed with the formula that he used when he made Last Meal and even BCT. I mean what the fuck was he thinking when he decided with his AnRs that songs like Protocol and Word Of A Gangsta wont be on the album, and put the crap like Thats The Homie on it. West/Snoop sound can evolve like dudes said but not like that, I dont want to listen some dumb shallow songs with cheap ass sounding beats on Snoops album, dude is too good for that, he proved it with songs like Protocol, Word Of A Gangsta, 2 Minute Warning, Secrets...

Songs that are album worthy are: 2 Minute Warning, Secrets, Pimpin Aint Eazy and maybe Different Languages....

Songs that are album worthy are: 2 Minute Warning, Secrets, Pimpin Aint Eazy and maybe Different Languages....
he already admitted that Snoop fell off, just not in those words ;)

damn what wrong with the people who said  ego trippin is a quality album...  malice n wonderland is with ego trippin the worst album ever made in rap..those albums are ever worser than a fu***g 50 cent album and I can't even listen 10 seconds of 50 cent! people who are enjoying this music go better buy a ne-yo album or something,
compaire these albums for example with ''the last meal'' or someting then you know it's every album a little bit worser..
he needs beats on his album like the album '' kurupt and roscoe - tha tekneek files''

I wouldnt go that far, i like chino xl, raskass, heiro, sadat x, slaugher house, sunz of man, etc but no ne-yo shit, but i lkel ego trippin an malice. Differant tastes, mine is not as closed minded as it was when i was younger, but i aint gonna listen to a whole album of r&b.
I like alot of differant types of hip hop/rap, dofferant types for differant moods.

I just gave this a listen, not as bad as everyone was saying it was. Coarse I didn't know what to expect and stopped listening to any leaks since Gangsta Luv.

Secrets and Luv Drunk I've been playing for a while now. Plus I'm just glad that compared to Ego Trippin' Snoop's dedications to his wife are at a minimum.

If "Different Languages" is the consensus best song on the album, then I don't need to waste my time listening to the rest.

true and true

Hey Long Beach, do you write for Allmusic? ???

Review   by Gregory Heaney

On his tenth album (and first as the chairman of Priority Records), Snoop Dogg continues to prove hes not a relic of the G-funk era, proving that while the music may change, good flow never goes out of style. Right out of the gate, Snoop drops a song for the West Coast Jerkin set with I Wanna Rock before switching gears back to classic Snoop with the Dre-inspired 2 Minute Warning, where the rapper lets everyone know hes still the same Snoop Dogg after all these years as he proclaims, Ponytail still swingin, hair still braided/Laker to a Clipper I wont be faded. With production by Lil Jon, Timbaland, Danjahandz, Battlecat, and the Neptunes (just to name a handful), its no wonder the album sounds like not only a retrospective of every stage of his career, but of the trends in rap music as a whole. With the album touching on his G-funk beginnings with Secrets, crunk on the Lil Jon-produced 1800, the Dirty South on the Soulja Boy collaboration Pronto, and his time on the Neptunes-fronted Star Trak on Special (featuring guest spots by Pharrell and Brandy), Snoop Dogg is able to prove simultaneously that hes still relevant while showing off his veteran status. With all the big production on the album, it comes as a bit of a surprise that Snoop shines the brightest on the sparse Upside Down (produced by longtime Snoop collaborator Terrance Martin). Sounding like a throwback to Drop It Like Its Hot, the simple arrangement allows Snoops easy flow to sit front and center, showing off the effortless style that's kept him in the rap game for nearly half of his life. Malice N Wonderland might not go into the books as a perennial classic like Doggystyle, but like R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece and PAID|THA|COST|TO|BE|DPaid Tha Cost To Be Da Bo$$$ before it, the album serves as a reminder of the flexibility and resilience that have allowed Snoop Dogg to remain an enduring figure in hip-hop.

Rating: 4/5 Stars

Basically sounds like he tried different styles all in one album.
With the dirty south, crunk, r&b. Secrets sounds like it'd be on Tha Last Meal, and Special is a R&G leftover so I've heard. ???
I was disappointed with the Lil Jon produced track, I thought it would be better.

I kept 7 tracks I liked which are:

I Wanna Rock (favorite track out of the whole album)
Different Languages
Gangsta Luv
Upside Down
Secrets
Pimpin Ain't EZ
Special

Some were good but I didn't keep em because they sounded average like any song you'd probably hear at a club or a party.
Anyway, out of the 14 track number, I'll say, eh it's straight.

Pretty much. Add "I Wanna Rock" to my list. "Different Languages" is decent but could have been a lot better. I fuck with "Special" as well. Very average album. Probably his worst album.

I like the album, even though most of the tracks on it are "club" tracks. He should have included "Protocol" and "World Of A Gangsta" as bonus tracks. Didn't somebody say that he gonna re-release the album with 7 new tracks? Does anybody have the tracklist of the re-release?
