This Is Battlecat?
He Says 1500 At The Beginning (As In"1500 or Nuthin'")

So is the West Coast Blue print album going 2 be just a album were he rips West Coast tracks from previous albums and combines them??? Sort melding them into what can be called literally a blueprint to a westcoast album??? I'm expecting a skit wit sex 2 be on it.

Near the end he throws in "BC Powda!", so I guess it's a Battlecat beat. ;)
Kinda like the track, but the "The Message" track he did with DJ Glaze is superior to this.

another dope snoop track

If I never would have heard the original Check Yo Self I probably would have liked this version more. I don't think that the beat is one of Battlecat's best but it's good. I would have liked to see Cat flip the original into something more funky and a little different similar to the way he he flipped Mr. Groove by One Way and made I Luv It, but if Battlecat and 1500 really did work on it together then that might explain why it sounds different than a typical Battlecat beat; imo it just sounds too similar to the original but not as tight. The sounds in the original beat sounded a lot cleaner, this version sounds kind of cluttered and the sounds are not as detailed. I think the hook is lacking the energy that the original had and I basically feel the same way about Snoops vocals, they're both too soft and laid back, it's almost like Snoop wasn't really feeling it; Cube went at it harder on the O.G. version. The song sounds like the diet version of the original. It's hard to remake a classic and make it sound just as good as the original (and even harder to make it sound better) but it's still a good song though and I can see someone really liking this version especially if they're not familiar with the original.

its nice. wouldve liked to see more of snoop's own lyrics instead of just copying and pasting cube's lyrics.
also you can find the song all over youtube
