Fresh off the back of the announcement that Bay Area rapper Ya Boy signed a deal with Akon's Kon-Live label we have a new track from YB The Rockstar.
The track in question has been circulating around online for the past few days but were able to provide the untagged version to provide maximum listening pleasure for our readers.
Featured on the song "Play To Win" are Ya Boy's Black Card Music label mates Dubb & Cik.Money as well as a verse from CTE's 2Eleven.

Ive been lurking on this board since 2004 and finally someone is making some sense! YB is killing it everytime, dont forget Future of the Franchise, Fix1 and Fix 2, YB Radio Volume 1, Prince of the City, Rockstar Music 1 and the bootleg Rockstar Music 2 (which was actually tight too)

I'm as big a Ya boy fan as anyone else...he's definitely dope w/ his rhymes and people forget he does his own hooks and chorus'!!! who can you compare him to? no one else without a deal or support from a major artist does it on his level.
With that being said...the fix 2 was plain garbage, maybe one of 2 of the tracks you can bump again. But his new people - dubb, sik money etc - dont know if thats the homies he's just trying to bring up or what, but he definitely needs to drop them. they got no talent what so ever , arent marketable and annoying to listen to. YB is a straight 9 outta 10 and just needs to stay solo

Nah he's right when it comes to the Black Card Boys, apart from Ya Boy (of course) Dubb is probably the only dude from the group with some talent. The rest are garbage.

I agree. Fix 2 was a disappointment. A handful of tracks were cool like "2 Girls 1 Cup" but for the most part, it was garbage. Same goes for his Black Card Boys team. Dubb has lines but gets boring quickly. The other dudes are just garbage. Maybe they're there for ghostwriting purposes.

While i agree YB is best solo, I have to disagree about Fix 2. ONe thing about YB mixtapes, is at first listen I think they are average, but after the second or third listen they really grow on me.
