Thinkin bout gettin one of the 2, and jus want ya'll opinions!?!?!
PS2 has the the advantage of bein the more popular consol where i am, so it'z eazier to get games off people, but ain't x-box better graphix?!?!?!?!?!?

PS2 is the way to go, best bang for the buck. DvD player is ready to go when you get it, theres also no need to buy some remote like you do for the XBox. With the specs of the XBox, you'd think it would kick ass. Still too early to tell I guess. I wasn't impressed by it.
I'd say u go for the PS2. U have an advantage of playing ur PS1 n PS2 games on it. Many ppl are saying that the Xbox isn't that good....graphicswise its better than PS2. It's still too early to tell though...as there r too few games released yet...

XBOX,u get more for your money unlike the other guy said,its got the harddrive so no need to buy memory cards,u pay the extra 30 bux for the dvd remote wow,its a better quality dvd player any ways,u can make custom soundtracks for u games,its all bout the games tho,that shit shouldnt matter that much tho...xbox has Halo,project gotham racing (much better than gran turismo 3 IMHO),amped,doa3,nfl fever (or u could get madden or nfl 2k2),its got a lot of good games comin out this year such as jet set radio future,morrowond,project ego,nba2k2 etc etc. metal gear solid 2 will be out for it later this year (metal gear solid x) tony hawk 3 will be out this year for xbox and gta3 will too (if it doesnt for some reason u could always buy it for PC
and to the person that said it will just be another sega.....i dont think microsoft will let that happen,and theres a big difference between microsoft and sega,when sega put out the dreamcast they were pretty low on money but microsoft has a almost endless amout to put into marketing etc.
but no matter what anybody says u need to check out some reliable web sites and see which of the 2 has the game su want,because everyones opinion is different depending on which system has the games they want,u see what im sayin??

PS2.... Xbox does haver better graphics, but not a great advantage... sony has tighter games... get sony!

get the ps 2, looks sweet in ya room, the black and the funky ps2 colour look dope and the games are way tighter, plus the xbox dont look to neat and the control pads like a muthafuckin brick dawg, so my advice is anyone with huge hands get the xbox, while everyone else stick to the ps2

no, no first of all... THE X-BOX is da most powerful game console ever made... and also has more features...it is yet to early to judge the X-BOX..and also btw the X-BOX doesnt have a GEFORCE 3 card.. the video card is da NV25..and also how can u say u werent impressed by it?? U havent tried it out have u.. and also..MIRCOSOFT aint dumb.. they wouldnt put in a lotta money if they dont know that they are gonna make profitz.. and yeah PS1 games look sucked up neway.. so i dont think that should be a reason y u should buy the PS2 and also.. the hard drive is a great advantage.. over the PS2 coz u dont need to buy those memory cards or wateva u call them.. and also the game HALO is so good...that some ppl say that u gotta buy the X-BOX just to play the game.. !!!

yeah I'm gonan get one of these for my brtidah in April,, I think I'm gonna go with a Xbox but i'm not sure yet, its just newer and stuff and seems to be better according to some people but then other people say ps2 is better lol
so I'll just have to see about it

How to emulate PS2 games on Xbox: 1. Turn on Xbox(TM) and insert any game. 2. Start playing Xbox(TM) game normally. 3. Start smearing fudge (mud or wet dirt will do) over your television. 4. Remember to smear fudge (or mud) thoroughly on television with a layer 1 inch minimum. 5. Enjoy emulated PS2 game!

Both consoles are good, but the PS2 is already outdated compared to X Box AND GAMECUBE. X Box has a built in hard drive, broadband ready, and yes you need to buy a remote to use a MUCH MUCH BETTER dvd playback than PS2. And if you think Sony has the best games, then you should know that just about every one of those games out in PS2 will be out for X Box as well; but with superior graphics. Go to IGN.com to do some research though.

i was at my friend house today and we went to his neighbors house and the white kid there had both the xbox and ps2
graphix: xbox is better but theres no HUGE difference but if you're all into that shit xbox hands down
games: PS2 has beter games, Metal Gear Solid 2 is fucking dope...it's like playing a movie
goodies: xbox like everyone already said, has a hardrive and all that other stuff that ps2 doesn't have
controlers (which is a big deal for me): ps2's just does a cum shot on xbox, with xbox it's like you're playing with a turtle....you gotta be shaq to feel compfortable with that thing, but ps2's is great

i ain't no game expert or enthusiest, but if you were to ask me id go with the playstation 2 just for the control factor

the graphics arent gonna be much of a difference for a while,these are just xbox's first generation games,theyll get a lot better with time........but graphics to me arent really a big deal as long as theyre decent
metal gear solid 2 and GTA3 are comin to xbox,does no one understand that?

I agree with the controller part, I have big hands and love the feel of it. You might not like it if you small hands, and the GameCube controller... as weird as it might look is the most comfortable of all 3 IMO.

I gotta PS2, and I'm very satisfied. They got the dopest games as of right now, but X-Box have just dropped, so it's to ealry to judge them. It all come down to the games yaknow.

I agree with the controller part, I have big hands and love the feel of it. You might not like it if you small hands, and the GameCube controller... as weird as it might look is the most comfortable of all 3 IMO.

I've got all 3. I would go with the gamecube and xbox before the ps2. After 3 months my ps2 stopped working. Now Sony said they will fix it for 100 dollars. So not only is it inferior in graphics, speed, and pretty much every other aspect, it now doesn't work. I would strongly suggest against it. If you have a best buy around you, they probably have an xbox, and ps2 staked up side by side. If they have the nascar game (which I don't like personally) you will see an unbelievable difference between the 2. I would go with the xbox over the ps2, but don't rule out the cube. Especially if you already have a dvd player. And if you are wonderin, I'm 24, not some kid sayin the cube is best because mario rules.

I'm happy with my XBox. I do sometimes feel like buying a PS2 because of games like GTA3 and MGS2... but like Sub Z said.. they are supposed to come out on XBox later on.
The first week I had my XBox... I hated the Controller, it was too fuckin big, and the black and white buttons seemed to spaced out. I ended up buying this 3rd party controller, the MadCatz one... I thought it was way better.. and I recomend that anyone who really hates XBox's controller to buy that one. It's crazy though, cuz now, after playin Halo so much... I like the original controller more now... I got used to it and it's a solid controller... nice handle and the joysticks are perfect.
I own 3 games.... HALO, Max Payne, and NBA Live 2002. Halo is the best game I've ever played. I like it more today than the first day I had it. You atleast have to play this game before you make your decision. This game aint gonna be on PS2, or GameCube... it's ONLY FOR XBOX, that alone should give it a point over MGS2... it's an exclusive game. Think about the other shit to come.... MICROSOFT is gonna go crazy with games.... just watch.
P.S: Sub-Z- Where'd you get that picutre of the GTA3 case for the XBox? Have you heard any official news about GTA being on XBox that I haven't? Cuz it's been looking a lil shady to me and I was just wondering if it was gonna make it... hit me back.
