People are making way too big deal of this,shynes jail bid created something bigger then what he is.Because at best he was a serviceable emcee,he didnt do anything great but he wasnt bad.

shyne's vocals still sound the same.  it's just his pronunciation is extended out with certain words and he's not as fast pace.  i don't really like his old work either.

I think vocally shyne and jay rock are about the same but jay rock has better content.Shynes coke kingpin raps were ehhh.He was rick ross before their was a rick ross.

jay rock sounds better because his flows on point but if here were to slow down words and extend them over several seconds a word I'm sure he'd sound bad as well.

i don't really like jay rock because he seems like shitty tupac imitation.

I liked a handfull of tracks from "Godfather Buried Alive" but that's it. Niggas are so in love with him cuz of his street cred. His voice sounds the same for the most part, its just more raspy and he's rapping on some bullshit.

I agree for the most part. I had his album before the controversy came about but I never necessarily thought he was gonna be the next big thing. He was good at what he do but his prison sentence had folks really keyed into him that would never have cared otherwise.
