well after the first listen here are the tracks I'll be throwing on the iPhone:

Soul On Ice
Life In California (Feat. Jayo and WC)
Too West Coast (Feat. WC and Maylay)
I Rep That West
Drink The Kool-Aid
No Country For Young Men
Hood Robbin'
Nothing Like L.A.

the rest is disposable IMO, bland production and to be honest Cube sounded lazy as hell on a few tracks... Raw Footage and Laugh Now, Cry Later > this rushed album  :-\

yeah, that's the biggest problem with this album. the production is bad on a few songs, but Cube really needs to step it up with his flow and lyrics. he did, however, sound really dope on some songs, so all hope isn't lost.

Cube should have left off

She Couldn't Make It...(this track could lead to more sales but fuck that)
Y'all Know...(not horrible but not album worthy)
It Is What It Is (DJ Montay??  How about DJ Quik ;))
All Day, Everyday (how does Hallway go from Too West Coast to this  ???)

and thrown Man Vs. Machine and Pros Vs Joes on there to make it a more complete album.

Everything else is hot especially No Country For Young Men and Hood Robbin.  And WC is the shit.

there are 4-5 tracks to keep (there are not even THAT good ) the rest is TERRIBLE , very cheap production , more than repetitive choruses and Cube lyrics and flow are very poor.

Give me a WC album instead ...

Middle portion of the album is strong but the beginning and towards the end are weak.

I said it once and I will say it again, I would be curious to see when the weaker tracks on this album were recorded. Because I will bet money the bonus tracks and even the weakest shit Dre could come up with would trump the 3 or 4 HORRIBLE tracks on this album. Or even at that if Dre could not be reached, he could have got some more bangers from Jinx and Hallway.

Each Cube album for me always has 1 track at least with that wow factor or is just lyrically sharp. The last album it was Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It, album before that Why We Thugs. This album has solid cuts but nothing with that wow factor to them.

exactly how I'm feelin' about the album, the only track that almost has that "wow" factor would be "Life In California" for me, but I just see that as the "most bangin'" song

For me I was getting into the album and then comes that Couldn't Make It On Her Own.  :-X

It's like once I get into a rhythm with the doper tracks, here comes a wack one. It does not flow well.

these are listenable atleast once, i guess...

life in california
yall know who i am
too west
no country for young men
hood robin
nothin like LA

the rest is atrocious.
i agree that WC was the shit though and really want to hear his new shit

I shouldn't be saying this, but fuck it lol. The record Knoc submitted was even called "Pentagon" and had a very good Ice Cube-political theme to it. Knoc on the hook spittin some political shit, and he had a verse. Knoc loves this song so much he said the ONLY way he wouldn't keep it for himself was if Cube or Dre wanted it. Nobody else could have it. It would have fit this record perfectly.

good album compred to the music of today.ice cube really came through 4 the west on this,it coul dof been better but the osngs that bang, bang hard, the tracks that sucks, sucks hard.

How many rappers that came out in the 80s could still sound relevant.cube is the west

well...the album starts very well but is overall not very good. best tracks are soul on ice, life in california and the two singles - rep the west and drink the kool-aid. hood robbin' and nothing like l.a. are also nice and chill but the rest is below average. really coulda done with some more solid production and without the southern sounding stuff.

1. A Boy Was Conceived (Intro) - Dope intro. Got that Cubeish intro theme to it. That voice with the dark beat in the back. Haha is that Mike Epps?
2. Soul On Ice - 3.5/5. Appropriate opening track beat. With this title, expected a darker beat but this is still tight. Hook is eyy. "U bout to smell my cologne?" lol. Tight track tho.

3. Life In California - 4.5/5 This a west coast bangin beat right here. Cube verse cool. Love his opening line. Jayo came simpler than I expected but it worked. Just not the typical "i'm lyrically  killing shit" verse from Jayo. I know for a fact he can still do that though. WC came tight! He had the best verse. Early leading candidate for favorite track on the album.

4. She Couldn't Make It On Her Own - 2/5. The rating is bad but I enjoy it for what it is. But I felt like rating wise, it's not fair to give it a pass. His sons are extremely average. Sound like typical young aspiring rappers nowadays. Probably the wackest Ice Cube song ever. I could bump it in the car with homies though.

5. Urbanian - 2.25/5. Beat is eyy. Very southern. "Google me bitch?" lol, retarded. Not feeling this at all. Not as bad as the last one though.

6. Y'all Know Who I Am - 2.75/5. Short song for all the features. Beat is modern but I dig it. His sons are very average again. WC killed it again though. Nice to see Maylay get to spit on a Cube record. He was ok on here; very short "verse" though (if u can even call it that). Song is basically a mess but it (slightly) gets a pass. Disappointed though.

Will do the rest later..

You guys over analyze Ice Cube. He doesn't have to make music for a living; the man is a successful Hollywood actor.

All Cube wants to do is make music he wants to make and then he hopes his fans (and others) like it. If you don't like this album, you've got plenty of other (Cube) albums to listen to.

Somebody has to tell Cube that repeating the same line ten times in a song is fucking wack ... it was already the case in some songs on Raw Footage but he took it to another level on this one...  :-X

03. Life In California Ft. Jayo And WC
07. Too West Coast Ft. WC And Maylay
08. I Rep That West
09. Drink The Kool-Aid
11. It Is What It Is
12. Hood Robbin
13. Your Money Or Your Life
14. Nothing Like L.A.
16. Fat Cat

these are my fave traks, so most the album is dope but when you have the title "I Am The West" all traks on the album need to be tight and no southern influence should be on it whatsoever.

I CANT WAIT TO HEAR THAT TRAK WITH E-A-SKI SO HOPFULLY THAT'LL BE A TRACK TO LOOK FORWARD TOO

Hood Robbin is amazing!

Some of the album is so bad and incoherent though. Which is disapointing after hearing I rep That West.

Also why on the hooks does he feel the need to do the vocals along with the same melody as the music. Theres no originality in it.

I was hoping to see some names called out too.

Like I said before, for me it is the quality of the beats as opposed to the style. Hood Robin is a dope beat, Urbanian not so much. The southern bounce type shit on here is absolutely horrible. T-Mix's beats- dope because he can make a variety of different styles on beats. Look at Hood Robin as a perfect example.

Anyone who sees a difference in how Cube used to be and now.  If so, do you prefer to Nigga you love to hate ICE CUBE or the Don Mega ICE CUBE?  I'm not Sayin anyone should be stagnant, but, regardless of Cube’s street credibility, CUBE was the shit through Lethal Injection in my opinion, in terms of Street Reporter.  I really didn’t care too much for War & Peace.  LNCL was tight to me, but Raw Footage was terrible IMHO outside of 2-3 tracks.  This new album does not represent its title.

After a few listens I'm not crazy about any of the songs, no classics on the album, but there are some really good tracks, a few better than the others that stand out. Bullshit south-sounding songs aside (which are so bad I didn't even include them in my list below), I still think the majority of the beats Cube selected are a little dime-a-dozen sounding, nothing amazing. I don't like when Ice Cube (or any artist for that matter) raps right along with the melody of the beat for his hooks, it shows a lack of creativity and it sounds like he didn't try and just said "fuck it, I'll just rap right along with the beat". If they can't come up with something good for the hook he or the one producing the track could add some scratching in the hook with some chopped up vocal samples of Cube to make it more interesting, kinda like what they did on a few of the songs for WC's "Guilty by Affiliation", the hooks on it sounded raw and sounded tight. Anyway here are the tracks that I though deserved a place on the album, the other 5 songs should have been replaced with tracks produced by some our westcoast O.G. producers like, DJ Quik and E-A-Ski (both of which were close to being on it, DAMN! >:(), Battlecat, Fredwreck and DJ Muggs (Since Cube named the album "I Am The West" it would have been dope to see him go back to his roots and get down with Muggs).

2. Soul On Ice (6.75 out of 10 - It's pretty good, at lease it doesn't sound all south)
3. Life In California featuring Jayo, & WC (7.25 out of 10 - Good beat, good song)
5. Urbanian (7.0 out of 10 - Beat's cool, a little different but Cube sounds good spittin' over it)
7. Too West Coast featuring WC & Maylay (7.25 out of 10 - Good beat, good song - reminded me of that WC track on DJ Crazy Toons' "CT Experience" Mixtape)
8. I Rep That West (7.5 out of 10 - Cool beat but I always thought it could have had a better hook, don't like it when the hook repeats the same shit over and over)
9. Drink The Kool-Aid (7.25 out of 10 - Just a good song over all)
10. No Country For Young Men (7.5 out of 10 - Sounds like another one of those generic as Dr. Dre beats from 5 years ago but still a good song though, Cube gets down)
12. Hood Robbin' (7.75 out of 10 - Beat is a little too mellow for my taste but still a good beat and a good song)
13. Your Money Or Your Life (7.75 out of 10 - Cube sounds good flowing over this more up tempo beat, nice beat with an ok hook)
14. Nothing Like L.A. (8.0 out of 10 - Beat kinda had a little of that "You know how we do it" feel to it, tight beat, good hook, my favorite song of the album but still short of classic)

Hopefully WC's album will deliver where Cube's fell short. We may see actually get to hear Battlecat and Fredwreck on Dub's album; many of you have probably already seen this but here it is again.

Scroll down the page a bit...

7. Too West Coast - 5/5. This beat is fuckin bangin. Sounds like somethin off that Toones mixtape; thats a good thing. Cube came raw. WC killed this shit too. He was a really bright spot on this album. All his verses were fuckin fire. Maylay was dope as fuck too.

8. I Rep That West - 5/5. We all heard it before. Fuckin banger.
9. Drink the Kool-Aid - 4/5. Liked it since it first came out.
10. No Country For Young Men - 4.5/5 Beat is hot as fuck. Cube hungry and spit very nice.
11. It Is What It Is - 2.75/5. Beat is ok. Hook is eyy. Song is avg.

12. Hood Robbin - 4/5. Beat is chills. Classic cube spittin here. Real life shit! This is what I want.
13. Your Money or Your Life - 3.5/5. Beat bangs again. Hook is basic but cool. I fucks with this.
14. Nothing Like L.A. - 3/5. Very chills beat again. Hook is basic. Alright song.

15. All Day, Every Day - 3/5. Beat bangs in the headphones. Hook is average as hell. Another track that I can bump; don't love it by any means, but can bump. Cube ain't sayin shit on here though.
16. Fat Cat - 3/5. Beat bangs again. Can bump it, but once again, Cube ain't sayin shit here. It can get moderate bump, but not what I look for from cube.

Overall, it's not as bad as I thought it would be from reading the comments here. Life In Cali, Too West Coast, I Rep That West, Drink the Kool-Aid, No Country for Young Men and Hood Robbin are dope. Soul On Ice, Your Money or Your Life are pretty good. And even Nothing Like L.A., All Day Every Day & Fat Cat can get bump too; not great, but far from bad songs.

I do hate She Couldn't Make It On Her Own, Urbanian, Y'all Know Who I Am and It Is What It Is. That's 5 bad tracks out of 16, 6 dope, and 5 average.

But I do see why some hate it so much. The title suggests its very west and there are a lot of southern beats on here (she couldn't make it on her own, urbanian, y'all know who i am, it is what it is, all day every day and fat cat).

Life in California, Too West Coast, I Am The West, Drink The Kool Aide, No Country For Young Men, Hood Robbin' and Your Money or Your Life are all dope, IMHO.
Nothing Like L.A.--pretty good; Cube's lyrics could be better, but the beat reminds me of some old Warren G.-type shit from back in the day, so that's cool.
Soul On Ice and Fat Cat are...okay (good beat on first song, but Cube's verses are below average; not crazy about the latter song's beat, but Cube's flow on the second verse is actually pretty nice).
Urbanian, It Is What It is, and Y'all Know Who I Am, and All Day Everyday--not feeling them. The beats sound like some kind of weird mix between hyphy and crunk, and Cube's lyrics are WAY below average.
She Couldn't Make It On Her Own--my opinion on this is the same as Lunatic's (he said that for what it is, it's okay, just that Cube's sons are average at best).

I wouldn't mind the production so much if Cube's lyrics were more thought-out, especially on the four songs above that I said I'm not feeling. Cube can do a helluva lot better than what he does lyrically on those songs! It's funny, but the songs on older Cube CDs that I thought sounded "weak" at the time they came out ("Down For Whatever" on LETHAL INJECTION, "Can U Bounce?" on PEACE, "Limos, Demos & Bimbos" on WAR, "Gotta Lotta That" on LNCL, "Get Used To it" on RAW FOOTAGE, to name a few) now sound like masterpieces compared to the four wack songs cited above!!! Hopefully Cube will be feeling more lyrical on the next release.

It's def Cube's worst solo album. Best tracks are "Nothing Like LA", "Your Money Or Your Life" and "Hood Robbin" with "No Country For Young Men", "Life In California", "Too West Coast" and "I Rep That West" following behind. I must say I'm a bit dissapointed with NCFYM tho, I was expecting Cube to drop names and add some fire into this silly 'old-new west' beef :)

The rest of the tracks are average at best. Most of them sounds like leftover material tho with "Urbanian" and "She Couldn't Make It On Her Own" being 2 of the worst tracks Cube ever recorded..

Overall, 5/10 album.

Now let's hope those Quik & E-A-Ski tracks going to be released as a bonus material when the album drops 8)

thats why fans were expecting better.
to me, "i am the west" is not better or not even close to "raw footage"
BUT!
it is a fact that new west coast era made a big success and surprise in the beginning of this millenium with many albums and artists following 2001 album of dr. dre... you can count, xzibit's "restless, man vs machine" snoop's "the last meal, paid tha cost to be the Boss" kurupt's "space boogie" warren-g's "return of the regulator" nate's "music and me"... it was like a dream that no west coast fan wants to wake up... but after those golden years, still no dr.dre album, still no snoop album which is good enough, kurupt and daz? im not even expecting a good album anymore from them, xzibit??? dj.quik??? god, wake up people.... west coast music industry sucks for at least 5 years... and its very long time.
BUT!!(part 2)
there is still a west coast legend, who wanna keep the west coast stand in the industry. ice cube is working on a new era... first he tryed it for wc's album "guilty by affiliation" and he succeed... it was just a step for raw footage and raw footage was like a message of new rise of west coast. when you compare "i am the west" with other albums came outta west coast this year, you gonna realize ice cube is not the one you need to blame... i think "i am the west" is a good album and ice cube is still rapping hot and showing his legendary talent... im an huge eminem fan but i can't stand listening "i like the way you lie". and eminem is way more younger then ice cube and he still have many years to be a legend. ice cube is already a legend and he shows us he is still hungry for this shit. just support him people, he is the only one fighting for west coast rap in last couple of years.

he started and still keeping up this gangsta shit!
and this the motherfucking thanks he get? (Hello!!)

Most of y'all are just negative.

For me, I first look at the positive things on the album.
It has a couple dope songs on it I can enjoy (Life In California, Too West Coast, I Rep That West, Drink The Kool-Aid, No Country For Young Men, Hood Robbin', Nothin' Like LA & Fat Cat)

Of course, all in all this album doesn't represent its title like said before. And it has some huge misstakes like She Couldn't Make It On Her Own, weak delivery on some tracks and lyrically not on point. But it is what it is, Cube makes music because he likes to, not to satisfy everyone. He stays true to himself and that's important to me. It's not easy to stay original and relevant after so many years, so for me, I just enjoy what he delivers.

All I'm saying is negativity shouldn't overrule positivity.

I don't know if I should check this out. People say it's worse than Raw Footage, and this was unlistenable for the most part.

It's time for Cube to retire, he should continue to work with WC and support him tho, cause Dub still has it. Let WC drop the albums,  he still knows what an album should sound like.

Yeah. All the hype of Dr. Dre production and DJ Quik as well; all to be retracted right before the album drops. LAME. I would've gladly waited for that. Instead we get delay after delay for a mediocre album with nothing at all really. Ice Cube was dope. Too bad its past tense. He should've stayed signed to Aftermath. We probably would've gotten the dopest Ice Cube album ever made.

This is a thread to discuss an album, one which most people feel is weak. Are we supposed to be giving weak albums props now? What is the point of discussing albums if all we are doing is praising every album regardless of quality? It would take away from the great music that actually deserves praise.

In january, everybody was claimed it's the Westcoast year, but in fact it's the worst Westcoast year!

The only good albums this year is Mitchy Slick's Yellow Tape and XL Middleton & Young Sau "there goes the neighbourhood"

You exaggerate.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think the album is good, I haven't said that.
The album as a whole is pretty average to me, but I can look through it and light out the positive points so I can enjoy it for what it is.
I actually ment he's not original anymore and neither so relevant but he keeps coming with some dope music, altho it's going downwards. You shouldn't give a weak album props but alot comments are based on dissapointments. That doesn't mean it's wack. It's neither good, but all I'm saying is you shouldn't focus on the weaknesses of the album but start with the positive things.

I listen to Cube because I expect above average shit. If this were some random no-name rapper, I wouldn't care. Hell, I probably wouldn't even listen to it. But its because its Cube, the legend, with a classic catalog, that I'm disappointed. Why should I bother checking for rappers who release averaqe or mediocre material? The reason we are all Cube fans is because he's released some classic shit over the years. So when he releases his worst album so far I think we as fans have a right to be disappointed and voice that disappointment. If we accept mediocre music from rappers who are capable of more, what incentive will they have to be the best they can be?

Some of y'all on here will defend a rapper to the death, no matter what they put out. Which I think is pretty funny. I don't even consider those people real fans. I become a fan of rappers based on the music they put out, not on some imaginary relationship I form with them where I feel the need to ride or die for them.

This is his 3rd indie album and when he was rumored to sign to Aftermath, Dre was still working on Detox damn near. 2 solid albums and one ehh one for me. Cube does not need Dre to help him put out albums. Yeah them working together would be nice but we all seen where that goes.

This album in total was poor.....

I know that Cube wants to make some banging tracks.... but the productions SUCK'd on the album, besides SIR JINX's "LIFE IN CALIFORNIA", and a few others (the hallway was ok, so was the nothing in L.A.)

Basically, i think cube should hook up together AGAIN with the ORIGINAL LENCH MOB, from the 90's (Sir Jinx, Chilly Chill, J-dee, Yo-Yo, K-Dee, Del etc etc.....) IMO. he should get some more productions from his former group producers Sir Jinx & Chilly Chill... their productions are banging.... just look at Life in California....... Am i right????????

I remeber one interview CUBE did, he said most the Lench Mob is done they ain't got it no more and that was years ago.  I am not sure how many would work with him again.  Obviously Jinx.  The best beat IMO, as well as lyrics/flow/content is No Country For Young Men. Too West had a similar beat to g Shit from Dub C.  I'm not hatin on Cube but I was expecting a bangin album since it was called "I am the West" and its CUBE.  Imma give Raw Fotage a listen again cuz I didn't feel it when it came out.  Never Know  8)

Has anyone been able to buy the actual cd with Pros vs. Joes and Man vs. Machine on it? I went last night to Best Buy expecting the cd they were selling to include the bonus tracks but it only had the original 16 tracks. I then went to Zia Records (a local record shop) and they also only had the cd with the original 16 tracks. So I didn't end up buying anything, I'm holding off until I can buy the album with the bonus tracks included. I know you can download the tracks from Itunes and probably Amazon but I wanted them on the actual cd if that's possible. Anybody got any info on this? Thanks.

By the way I checked out Pros vs. Joes and Man vs. Machine and I think if they would have left out the 5 or so south-style songs and added in these two in their place it would have made for a better album; I intend to make my own version of I Am The West as soon as I buy it.

Damn! I guess I just have to buy the cd as it is and buy the Itunes bonus tracks separately. They better not decide to release a collector edition cd in the near future with the bonus tracks included, that would be messed up.

WHAT YOU THINK ????

I remeber one interview CUBE did, he said most the Lench Mob is done they ain't got it no more and that was years ago.  I am not sure how many would work with him again.  Obviously Jinx.  The best beat IMO, as well as lyrics/flow/content is No Country For Young Men. Too West had a similar beat to g Shit from Dub C.  I'm not hatin on Cube but I was expecting a bangin album since it was called "I am the West" and its CUBE.  Imma give Raw Fotage a listen again cuz I didn't feel it when it came out.  Never Know  8)

Yeah i know, they had some problems i think... i read on a lot of interviews that cube never paid them for their work, and therefor they didn't want to work with him or something........ but then another interview i heard that cube said he was cool with everyone of them again now..

And about the album and cube.... Cube is a legend in this hip/Hop & Rap, and when he turns out with an album called "I AM THE WEST" i defently expected more tracks just like the "LIFE IN CALIFORNIA"... the "NOTHING LIKE L.A." ..........   I don't know why Cube wouldn't like to hook up with Scott Storch or some other big producers again........ "Why We Thugs" were off the hook??!!!
But i know all of you expected a lot more when you hear the Title of the Album and when you hear that it's Cube making it.

BUT now let's be positive, I AM THE WEST has some good tracks: Life in California, Nothing like LA, I Rep That West, Hood Robbin.

i aint hating on cube, im a fan, i like his work, i just expected more west coast album!

Scrap "Soul On Ice", change the chorus on "Urbanian" (Google me bitch wtf?!), Cut the annoying sample on "No Country for Young Men", new chorus for "Life In California" a different flow in Cube's verse, exchange "All Day Every Day" and "It Is What It Is" with "Pros vs. Joes" and "Man vs. Machine", change the order of the tracks and you got a pretty cool album. But in this way it's just average WITH the bonus tracks.

"Y'all Know Who I Am" grew a bit on me though...

hitsdailydouble predicts it will be around 24-27k sold 1st week. I know Cube said something on twitter that a large majority of Target stores did not even recieve copies of the album.

This is nothing new. This has been practically the case with every album released in the last couple of years. His last two albums had iTunes bonus tracks as well. Apparently no one except me buys physical copies anymore. You would think there would be some kind of reward for actually going to the record store and picking up the album, instead of missing out on songs.

His last 2 albums the bonus tracks were through Best Buy and Target. LNCL had 4, 2 only Best Buy sold and the other 2 Target sold. Raw Footage had 3 and those were available at Best Buy. This is the first album I can remember from him that his bonus tracks were exclusively on ITunes. Sign of the times I guess.

umm nope that's always been the case. For both LNCL and Raw Footage the bonus tracks only come along with the album. That's why its called a "bonus" track. Its a bonus in addition to buying the album.

Isn't the entire point of Digital stores to get the tracks u want. That defeats part of the purpose imo.

If most people are only buying a couple songs off itunes it kills albums sales. I don't know if including bonus tracks actually works but presumably its to get more people to buy the whole album.

I will only buy this album because to add to all my original Ice cube LPs...
other wise i give it 5/10

Really dissapointed overall, sounds like alot of Raw Footage "left overs" for some reason. alot of the wack songs are only 2minutes, and of course wack, so it feels incomplete. the album is only 50 minutes long.
i know it will take time but album will grow on me, was playing it at gym  and in car.
I think album sounds better if you have a good sound system with Sub-woofers, then it has a better feel to it.

Best Songs
1. Hood Robbin
2. No country for Young men
3. Rep that Wesrt
4. Drink the Kool Aid
5. Nothing like LA

Ok Songs
1. Soul on Ice
2. Living in California
3. Fat Cat
4. Too west Coast
5. She couldnt make it on her own ( the beat has really grown on me)

Trash songs
1. Urbanian
2. you all know who i am
3. it is what it is
4. your monehy or your life (what is with the xmas themes beat)
5. allday every day (another xmas beat)

as u can see the best songs actually have west coast beats, whereas the rest have southern beats.

anyway, i would give this album 5/10, cos its incomplete and In my honest opinion, i will say it is his weakest effort to date.

p.s eve nteh itunes songs are 2 minutes long.

i think his next album needs more features like Mc ren and Mack 10

So why couldn't he make the CD all west coast, it's not like the album is gonna sell more with the southern sounding beats.

I will only buy this album because to add to all my original Ice cube LPs...
other wise i give it 5/10

Really dissapointed overall, sounds like alot of Raw Footage "left overs" for some reason. alot of the wack songs are only 2minutes, and of course wack, so it feels incomplete. the album is only 50 minutes long.
i know it will take time but album will grow on me, was playing it at gym  and in car.
I think album sounds better if you have a good sound system with Sub-woofers, then it has a better feel to it.

Best Songs
1. Hood Robbin
2. No country for Young men
3. Rep that Wesrt
4. Drink the Kool Aid
5. Nothing like LA

Ok Songs
1. Soul on Ice
2. Living in California
3. Fat Cat
4. Too west Coast
5. She couldnt make it on her own ( the beat has really grown on me)

Trash songs
1. Urbanian
2. you all know who i am
3. it is what it is
4. your monehy or your life (what is with the xmas themes beat)
5. allday every day (another xmas beat)

as u can see the best songs actually have west coast beats, whereas the rest have southern beats.

ok i can ALMOST agree 100% with you, and you got a lot real talk at there! +1 for that

Buuuut... LIFE IN CALIFORNIA should be replaced with DRINK THE KOOL AID.... seriously... LIFE I CALIFORNIA is the most WESTCOAST track on the album ?

and Dmnnnnnnnn You're right on that one.......... THIS ALBUM needs Mack10 on it, and XZIBIT and some more Sir Jinx / Chilly Chill produced tracks!! and that is so true...

Cube gotta hook up with better producers! :)

True. Well from the interviews Cube did with Skee TV during the video shoots for the songs, I really think he went with the producers "in awe" of him. Translation- probably free beats for one of their favorite artists. Defnitely that is the case with Bangladesh. I honestly think he had no backup plan after he did not work with Dre. I think Dre would have easily had multiple tracks on this album.

I agreed almost completely with dammaged7.  If you remove Cube's whack sons on She couldnt make it on her own, I'd feel it a lot more.  I like the beat and Cube's verse.  Dub C and Maylay could have put it down on that beat IMO.  Album still hasn't grown on me.  Puttin Lethal Injection on repeat. 8)

I think that's what many artists do who once had big hit singles. I'm not saying any names, but I think everyone here can think of a few artists who do that.
