Anyone got this release? please review.

I have it. I'll do a little review tonight (I'm at work now and I haven't listened to it that much). Overall though it's OK, though they do Fam Bam Thang twice and 3 versions of Damn Near to Oakland.

Yeah. I was thinking of trying to do a review but the thing is that it's just not distinctive enough. It's just gangsta by the numbers. Guns, hoes, indo, harmonizing, Long Beach, sound familiar? The music tries to go between hard and synthy soft but that's kind of annoying and the lyrics are just too generic (what I love about gangsta shit is that subjects are personal to the individual experience of the rappers but can make you feel like you are a fly on the wall in their life. These lyrics feel like it could be from anywhere by anyone). I guess it's just that this tries to be what everyone else was (sing song chorus/hooks, synth, etc.) and lacks the personality of other releases. I know this is a vague and maybe confusing review, but it's a lot easier to write about something that I really like than about something I don't.

Oh, and it's not the DOC, it's just someone named Doc.
