Mmmmmmmm.. stupid americans! (joking)....
Lemme tell you how to make a good ITALIAN Pizza, the "ITALIAN OG PIZZA".. LMAO!
Base
Plain flour, yeast, salt, olive oil and water (preferably from Naples) are all you need to make an authentic pizza base. Of course, you could always use a packet mix instead!
Tomatoes
Cheese
You can use loads of different cheeses on top of your pizza from parmesan and goats cheese to cheddar and edam, but the king of pizza cheeses has to be italian's mozzarella. It melts evenly, separating into those stretchy strings of delicious cheeseyness when a slice is cut.
Pepperoni
It might not be yours, but it's my favourite pizza topping so I'm going to include it here.It may be oozing with fat, but all that oil the pepperoni produces when cooking makes for one of the most delicious pizzas going.
Garlic
It may be smelly but what would an authentic Italian dish such as pizza be without garlic. It's good for you as well so you don't have to worry so much about all that extra cheese and pepperoni.
Oil
Another healthy addition to your pizza, olive oil, is low in saturates but high in monounsaturated fats. Extra-virgin is the best and sprinkled over pizza before cooking gives really crispy results.
Herbs
If mozzarella is the king of cheeses, then basil has to be the prince of pizza herbs (essential if you want to create the magnificent Margherita pizza). Of course there are many other excellent herbs you can use - oregano, parsley, bay, rosemary, the list is endless. Just go wild!
Once again... fuck those plastic Pizza Hut Pizza! Enjoy the real shit! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
