I didn't even get what he was referencing until you just explained it. I can definitely remember that. It was a bitch getting those damn things to work sometimes.
Regarding the Big L line, I thought it kind of funny when he used that line. But the only time I heard him use that line was in a freestyle. Don't know if it would have been as cool in an actual song. Unless of course, he's used that line more than once and I'm just not aware of it.

Genesis games were no where near the trouble. Blowing into a Nintendo cartridge was an artform. Everyone I knew had their own techniques. I personally used the the end of the cartridge whistle blow and it worked like a charm, but it took me years to figure out.
