1. Don't Hold Your Applause - 4/5. Has a very nice intro feel it. Tone P dropped a cool instrumental. Overall cool track.
2. Double M Genius - 3.75/5. This is cool too. Not mind blowing but a good album cut overall. I dig it.
3. Miami Nights - 3.75/5. Another cool album cut. You can tell the dude who produced track 2 produced this one too. It's cool.

4. Legendary - 4/5. Toomp on the beat! The hook is dope. I like the vibe and message.
5. Lotus Flower Bomb - 4/5. Cool little single for the chicks. Miguel's hook is dope.
6. Chain Music - 4.5/5. The first real "banger". This is more of what I expected from a production standpoint (but everything else has been good too).

7. Focused - 4/5. Kid Cudi on this. It has a cool vibe. Like it better than I thought I would.
8. Sabotage - 4/5. Lloyd is dope as fuck. Dude's voice is on another level. Cool single potential track.
9. White Linen (Coolin') - 4/5. Has more of a smooth R&B vibe (slightly reminds me of Rick Ross "aston martin music"). Always liked Ne-Yo.

10. Slight Work - 4.25/5. Cool Big Sean collab. This is a banger right here
11. Ambition - 5/5. The lone Rick Ross/Meek Mill features. God damn this is hot. Definitely the best track so far.
12. Illest Bitch - 4/5. Lol at dedicating a song to your sister called "Illest Bitch." Very dope instrumental though.

13. No Days Off - 4.5/5. Toomp again. I really dig this. One of the better tracks.
14. DC or Nothing - 4.5/5. Damn this is hot again. This is real real hot. This hook is insane.
15. That Way - 4/5. Was on the MMG compilation but cool to see it get more exposure/love.

All in all, I feel like Wale is one of the hottest rappers out right now. He's just in a zone, his prime really. Not sure he'll get better than this but he doesn't need too, if he can keep this up in the years going forward, he's gonna' have a very well deserved long and dope career.

And there's dope tracks that didn't make the album like "bad girls club" and "tats on my arm"

I don't really know how to describe it, but this guy likes one sound of Hip Hop. Basically that Kanye type production, with a lazy, yet slight "swagged" flow. I don't know if the boy listens to anyone else outside of Kanye West, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa & Mac Miller.

With that being said, I agree with everything he said here.

Alright, I don't agree with everything. The production was on point. Not great. But not something worth complaining about. But this album is trash. A step down from his first album. I hear the Rick Ross influence all over it. It was just a flat album.

This album is great. And it shits on AD. AD had it all...the beats, the concepts, lyrics...but Wale was such a boring rapper back then. So bland.

Now that he's with Ross, he's much more confident. So you can count this and the Maybach Music tags as Ross influence but what else exactly has he influenced ?

you dont know what i like when it comes to hiphop so shut the fuck up. I was listening to hip hop music before u were rocking xxl white tees and fitted caps.

jay you've used that big sean line a few too many, please son, come up with some better shit if u want a reaction.

I dont know what ppl see in this wale album. I was expecting something dope after a couple recent appearences wale has made.

Like 25 wives with chip tha ripper, that song is dirty, because the beat is dope as fucc and wale flows perfectly on it.

Wale stole the show on "no hands" with waka, again another good beat and the flow is spotless.

All this nigga needs is some dope production and he can take it away. But the beats on this album are boring, and therefore i will forget that it ever happened.

Like it or not Wale is 1 of the brightest stars of 2011 and it's gonna stay that way 4 tha remainder of the year.  I haven't heard the album in it's entirety yet (but will) but from what I've heard it's WAAAAAY better than "Attention Deficit" (that album was the WORST music Wale ever put out in his career hands down).

Wale got hip becuz he wasn't gonna have The DMV behind him unless he did a Go-Go track and a Three 6 track.  That's how it is for everybody over here no matter who u r (with good reason, nothing negative).  "Bait" cranks like a muthafucka, "That Way" turnt out to be a very dangerous record for Hip Hop this year and "Lotus Flower Bomb" sounds pretty good.

At the End of tha day Wale didn't fail with this album.  If u don't like Wale or this album then it's You and not Wale or Us...  hate it or love it

Wale was better on those Seinfeld mixtapes. For me he just doesn't seem to fit in at MMG lyrically and thematically. He's a good emcee, better than anyone else on MMG, but he just doesn't look right sat next to Pill, Meek Mill & Rozay. He's a different style altogether.

What is MMG lyrically and thematically ? Define it. That's like somebody saying a certain rapper has an eastcoast or a westcoast flow. Like what is that ? If you ask me Amibition, sound wise, sounds exactly like Attention Deficit. Same style of production, same vibe. It's not like MMG and Ross are all over the album. They are on 1 track and it's a gem. The only thing changed is Wale himself. He grew balls.

Don't forget that MMG also has Stalley.

You know how on the Self Made album every single track sounded EXACTLY THE SAME and all the verses and lyrics and themes were EXACTLY THE SAME for an entire hour? Yeah, thats MMG.

BTW, I've not heard this solo LP yet, I was more commenting on Wale's old sound and how I feel that suits him better than the sound and songs he was coming with on the Self Made LP.

"So why, when Wale appears to have the freedom he claimed to be searching for way back when, is he making these shallow, one-dimensional songs about this, that and the other thing? You might as well call Ambition, “The Album About Nothing, But For Real This Time You Guys.”"

LMFAO. So true.

Gave the album a listen twice today, was impressed with the consistency of it. Wale comes correct on the majority of the tracks and the beats complement his style, although a lot of the tracks are very similar. "Legendary", "Lotus Flower Bomb" and "Ambition" are my favorite tracks at the moment, "Ambition" is just crazy dope, sounds like some throwback street shit when Meek is spitting. I'm not a Ross fan but I've got to give him props for letting Wale do what to me sounds like a Wale album with MMG production values.

Fuck those "Maybach Music" tags are annoying!!!

I will listen to it, with an open mind also. As I said previously I loved Wale's first two mixtapes and the reason I'm basing my opinion on MMG Wale is based off his songs on the Self Made album...not this album. But I'll give it a listen. Hopefully it surprises me. Even though I don't think it suits him, I still think he's a talented emcee.

wale was the weak link on that mmg album, he sounds like a fucking clown trying to play tough guy, i skip every verse of his on it, seriously he is fucking awful on that. that said his first mixtapes were tight! he just lost direction as an artist, got a bigger ego, and tried to way to many things at one time. i will give this album a shot tho, he deserves a 2nd chance.

After a few more listens ad shits on this album. People are smoking crack to think otherwise.

Wale totally sacrificed his content on this album. It's just nonsense swag lyrics with no purpose. He took a huge step back as an artist and some of the songs are downright annoying.

I'm not surprised this album has a lower metecritic score then ad.

Meho needs to take Ross's cock from his ears, this is a huge step back artistically.

I'm so impressed with this album that I'm scared for Wale.  How is he gonna top this?  I mean this album is fuckin' mad lol!

http://www.youtube.com//v/rca6jO9n9AQ [needed more bass guitar] & "No Days Off" are the themes 4 me right now.  This has to be the best album released in the 4th quarter so far [Oct.-Dec.].

 8) Wale been gettin alotta love around The DMV lately.  I was out Norfolk yesterday and I heard somebody at tha gas station with it on blast.  I got to Woodbridge to fill up again and a nigga pulled up 2 tha pump all ignorant n shit crankin tha joint.  Needless to say that was just yesterday.  Today I'm playin this and probably will be until "Blue Dream & Lean" comes out

side note:  it would've been tight if Mario was on the hook to "That Way".  Jeremih killed it and it shouldn't be touched but it would've been nice 4 tha DMV to hear Mario on it.  Plus they pretty much could've sounded the same on this 1 when u hear it in your head.  It might've taken away from the 'star power' if Mario was on it tho, but then again who knows (i don't)

Wale = DC
Lex Luger = VA
Mario = MD
