Crooked I has just announced via Instagram that he will release a new solo project on July 30th 2013, entitled Apex Predator.
One quarter of the Slaughterhouse machine and famed Long Beach lyricist is getting ready to drop his first solo project since last years Psalm 82v6.
So far the only information made public is the official album cover, below, but regular readers will have seen him perform the title track live in Seattle right here on DubCNN in February.

Crooked I is the VP of Treacherous so yes obviously he is involved with them.
The album is being pressed up, physical distribution and digital distribution for this album. 3-4 videos are already shot as well.

Treacherous is still around yes, they most recently put out Horseshoe G.A.N.G.'s "#TrueStory" deluxe and are currently promoting their new artist Niqle Nut who released his single "Actavis" recently.

I don't know any details on why different artists may have left the label, but Big Syke is not on their roster anymore.

Originally it was just a regular EP and then Crooked said he extended it to be 11 - 12 songs on COB Radio a few weeks back.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I thought I would point out that Crooked I himself has not used the terminology "debut album" for this project. Based on this project's expected length, it DOES qualify as a LP though. So, if you want to classify a retail LP as a debut album, that would be up to you. However, I don't think it's necessary to put his music in categories at this point of his career.

i like how it has a Mr. Porter song. i personally dislike having only one rapping guest appearance...no Slaughter or Horse Shoe? no Glasses or Jay Rock or any of his usual guests? interesting. let's hope Tech N9ne's verse is good and it's a new song.

I can accept limited guest appearances. I've heard Crook rap with several of my favorite rappers. I think rap needs to scale it back. We don't need double albums with seven good songs over two discs or full albums with 20+ songs and every major name in the game that are so disposable. I like albums like Makaveli or Illmatic where you might only have 10-12 tracks and not a shit ton of guests but the tracks are all that is needed.

You are forgetting. This project was JUST a free EP originally. He then latest decided to add some songs for his fans to turn it into a "street album".
I think it should be dope. If it's just 11 songs, I'd rather it mostly be him than flooded with unnecessary features.
