so what actually went down at the source awards 2000? was there any video footage?
Prodigy said Snoop and Dre left out the back door and Tray Deee stayed taking on death row guys and actually taking them out.
also heard about Eminem getting chased too.
any info on this?

There used to be video footage on Youtube of DJ Quik gettin into a scuffle with the police and they cuffed him. Not sure if it's up anymore though. Krayzie Bone supposedly got fucked up pretty bad and none of his homeboys were helpin' him. Dr. Dre won a lot of awards, so yeah, of course Death Row people wanted to fuck everything up.
Here's a video of some fight from the awards. I think it's actually E-40, Suga T and them beatin' up Mac Minista. You can see the Outlawz in the video too and i think it's Goldie Loc near the stage with the Eastsidaz shirt on. You need to sign up to Youtube see this video though.

EDIT: Here's the video DJ Quik gettin' arrested:

they put them paws on mac minister ass and LOL@ snoop and co. standin' on stage watchin'.
-
What was the beef between Mac minister and e40?
-
Yeah, as I recall, the major fight that broke out was involving Mac Minister getting beat up by people from 40's crew or something. The incident involving Eminem was actually chronicled in his bodyguard's book where he basically says whoever ran the event did not get proper seating for security so basically Eminem was out there without him and got into a conversation or something with Death Row people but nothing violent went down. Quik got jacked up by the police. Nobody has ever really commented on the Snoop situation with any real depth but the story heard was some people tried to get at Snoop but he got away while Tray Deee and some other people from the camp fought them. Whether he ran off, was escorted by security, or was actually just out of reach from the goons, I have never really heard any official word on.

yeah Prodigy from Mobb deep saw the whole thing it was in his book...he said Tray Deee was by himself taking out death row guys

Everything I've heard about Tray Dee, this dude is an O.G. to the fullest. He is probably one of the realest rappers to ever touch a mic. When you talk about skills, and authenticity, and experience about the shit he raps about. You have to respect and give props to Tray Dee. Just too bad he beefed with Snoop for that little bit, I think he should of remained loyal and grateful to Snoop, but aside from that little hiccup Tray Dee has always had my support.

That's weird, I thought I had heard a story years ago from some awards show (presumably this one) where Krayzie Bone scrapped with Prodigy. I don't remember ever hearing about Krayzie getting roughed up though.
About the other stuff, there's some three-part K9 interview where he talks about it, saying that Snoop was a bitch for running behind Tray Deee and the other Crips, and he said something about having Eminem balled up in a corner and kicking him or something like that.
I REALLY wish I had saved the pics when I saw them, but YEARS ago, there were pics of the fight. It was dudes with white Death Row shirts (with the logo in red of course) just stepping to people and throwing punches.
-
Several eyewitnesses said Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rapper Krayzie Bone was hurt in the incident. "He was busted up pretty bad," said a photographer who asked not to be named. "He wasn't getting any help."

Tha Realest also spoke about the fight on "Fuck Dre".

The411online! Shit, I remember that site... I used to love that one. I liked their rating system that they had with the dollar bill amounts.

I re watched K9 interview....he said they gave Nate Dogg a beat down at the Soul Train awards in 2000 and Nate was with Xzibit, Warren G and Yukmouth and they ran off when Nate was getting a beat down and that's how the beef started with Xzibit and Snoop

Not true. Suge Knight saw Xzibit at some club and approached him and asked if he was homies with Snoop and Xzibit said "nah, it's only business", plus he started actin' funny with Soopafly and Soopa was fuckin' with Xzibit way before Dre and Snoop started workin' with X and that's straight from Soopafly. He wasn't answerin' his calls etc.
-
^ I'm guessing Suge ran into him around the same time when Suge and Kurupt (after Kurupt was announced as re-joining) appeared on some radio station and were talking about how Xzibit isn't even a California native.

According to The 411 Online they had "Dead Man Walkin" shirts on and i remember seeing pictures of Tha Realest, Swoop G and others right before they went to the awards and i think some of them had those "Dead Man Walkin" shirts on in that picture too. It used to be up on Swoop G's myspace page. Big Style was in the picture too.
-
Does anybody know if more footage surfaced?
-
if this shit happened now days you'd have a couple hundred cell phone videos to pick from ;D :D
-
Big Style was in the picture too.
Big Style was in pictures with the Death Row squad? That seems odd, given that he was Snoop's friend.

I think they were beefin' at the time. Swoop G was in the picture too and he was Snoop's friend too.

Swoop and Lil Style weren't cool with Snoop at this time but I don't recall hearing anything about Big Style having any problems.

Ah this event inspired the idea for Quik's 'FTPD' - great track.
I'm sure there's footage of what went down, it was a widely publicised event.
