Well.. that was fun while it lasted.... Let's see. Dubcc had a good run of battlin from like 01' to 03'. So that was 2 years before it all fell off.... that was fun... Now I get into the live battle scene here in KC and it was poppin for 2 months and now cats is already beefin and they posted today ALL EVENTS CANCELLED.
...Some cats are trying to work it out.. and I hollered at some dudes I was supposed to battle about just doin it ol school and takin it to the streetz and parks and a couple might be down. I don't give a fucc about venues and all that shit..... I say take it to the streetz, parking lots, and parks if ficcaz can't get they politics and bureaucratic nonsense st8

Dude... hella fuccin drama bro you wouldn't believe.... I mean everything was going cool one moment, we were all building, everyone hype for the next event and then shit hit the fan in the next instant!!!!!
...It's basically like this, long story short, and I'm not an organizer of these events nor have I had time to work my way up to the top. I'm just now a middle-weight. So I don't know all the details..there was also money involved somewhere changing hands and stuff like that... and personal beefs.. I don't know a lot of stuff... but here's my breakdown....
To make things simple there was battle league in the city, I will call that the (hood league) and there was a battle league from a college town outside the city (Fatal Phonics). And the two leagues had joined but now they are beefing. And it all centers around one man, Abysmal Sevant, here's the history....
1. Out in the hood of KC, they have had some kind of disorganized battle events goin on for sometime under the name Throne Room. Problem is they only meet every few months, if that, and they weren't really open to bringing people in and supportin newcomers so peeps didn't really know about it.
2. Then this white dude from a fuccing college town outside the city bursts on the scene. And this dude is like borderline genius. He had built up his own battle league in this small ass college town, which is a remarkable feet in itself. They were called Fatal Phonics. This is the same dude, Abysmal Sevant that does the dope work of editing those nice professional videos you see. He was real supportive of newcomers.
3. So Abysmal comes out of a fuccing college town and starts battlin in the hood and he's like one of the TOP 3 and never lost. He was working with cats in Throne Room and he kind of united both sides and all this became more organized to where just now they started having regular organized events.
4. Well now Abysmal didn't like the way Throne Room (the hood league) was disorganized and everything and he finally got pissed off. So now a huge ass beef sparked up and he's being accused of putting the dudes in Throne Room (Hood League) against each other.. but they ended up uniting tonight and being like FUCK HIM. And Abysmal is like, "You guys can't understand my ways, but trust me I'm looking out for everybody's best interest and ya'll don't understand the politics of all this shit, just trust me I'm lookin out for the best". But they are like fucc him.
....On my side I got to have love for Abysmal because he's the one that opened this thing up and organized it so newcomers like myself ended up coming in. But I'm too new to have loyalties to either side really. So ultimately I will just stay down with whatever is poppin. Whether that is Throne Room (hood league) or Fatal Phonics (Abysmal's brainchild)

Alot is coming out now as one side is trying to "expose" the other side so they are posting up all kinds of personal convos.....
Turns out there was a lot of conversation behind everything that's going on, and big time plans to like put KC on the level of King of the Dot or URL and they were talking about big business and ownership issues and all types of stuff.... sounds like the CART was way before the Horse if you know what I mean
..not really the way I get down I'm just into the craft and the culture and representing hip-hop and all that and letting it build on it's own.
