Young Zee was on the D12 album "D12 World", he also did a song with Em' and his wife called "Came To Party" around that same time. At that time he was signed to Runyon Ave Records founded by D12 member Kon Artis, he was signed alongside people like Pharoahe Monch and Guilty Simpson. So he was given a shot by D12.

if you took eminem off every song, it'd still be a good album

it'd be very forgettable in the grand scheme of things.  i'm not dissing the album as much as how much it was pushed in the media.  that shit was everywhere and them some.

Nice track, anyone got an mp3?

Em can basically sign who he wants these days so why don't he start fucking with the Outsidaz again?

lol@Cham not knowing shit about it...

...Back when idiot rap fans like Cham were calling Eminem a one-hit wonder in the spring of 99', I was at an Em concert in Lawrence, Kansas.  People didn't know or respect his background, or Dre's background for finding great talent, so I had to go by myself.  I was in the front-row and Eminem even passed me the mic after I spit all his lyrics to "Role Model" and I shouted "KC MUTHEFUCKA"!

—Which was, interestingly enough this is the same concert where he re-united with his mom and family and also his "half-brother and sister who never came to see me" showed up outside the tour bus wanting to see him, this was all in his bodyguards tell all book—

Anyway, my point of telling this story is that the Beatnuts were on the ticket to open up for Eminem.  They couldn't make it so the Outsiders actually performed in their place.  Em has showed love to Outsiderz for the longest, even put Young Zee on the 8 Mile soundtrack.

Personally I like all the artists from D-12 better than Young Zee, but I do like Young Zee more than Slaughterhouse so for that reason I think his point is valid.  The Slaughterhouse album flopped, I would've rather heard a Young Zee album than a Slaughterhouse, Yelowolf, or even Obie Trice album for that matter.  But the D-12 albums were certainly justified.

Thanks man 8)

Eminem should just make Shady Records independent & start releasing albums from Outsidaz & d12 solos (which should of happened 10 years ago).

D12 is still a good group, Proof alone is a great MC

^not to mention, kon artist is a great producer + swift and kuniva are not too bad themselves. bizarre not the best emcee, but he brought shock-rap to the forefront and let the mainstream get a taste.......not a bad group by a long shot.

Proof—or it didn't happen!

...no way Proof would turn down the opportunity to drop a solo with Em's support on Shady.
