It actually came later than Master P and Puff. It was post Chronic 2. Catz riding around LA listening to Hood Rich and Little Wayne. That was freaking miserable man, confusing as shit.

Master P was a West Coast artist before moving back to the South.
When he started his career he was mainly repping Richmond CA (sometimes referring his days growing up in NO, see Anything Goes on The Ghetto's Tryin' To Kill Me).
99 Wayz to Die is his last fully west coast project, it's a farewell project (as evidenced by the intro of 17 Reasons). Mr. Ice Cream Man (1996) is his last predominantly west coast album and Ghetto D and MP Da Last Don are the last albums to feature west coast producers at all (DJ Daryl & K-Lou on GD and DJ Daryl & The Sons of Funk on MPDLD).
