I don't know if this has been posted before, but it's such an great interview that i had to post it. Colin Wolfe definitely deserves more credit than people give him.

Yeah, it's a great read. Colin Wolfe talks about making beats with Dr. Dre. People sleepin' on this.

Warren didn’t have a big influence. He would occasionally come in with some lyrics and that “Deeez Nuuuts” skit. But as far as the tracks, not that much input at all. Daz was slowly trying to get into the creative mix. He was starting to come in there with ideas, towards the latter half of the record. Daz did do the drums on “Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat.” Dre found the instrumental break and I played bass and guitar along with it. But for the most part it was me and Dre who would build the tracks.

I wonder why Daz or Warren G never talked about this guy when they talk about "The Chronic".

3rd time reading over the years, well detailed interview.

Fascinating insight and break down of Dre's classics, Wolfe did magic with the moog.
