Title: Nate Dogg music and me album appreciation
Post by: TraceOneInfinite Flat Earther 96' on May 07, 2017, 07:01:38 AM
Nate was on fire at the time and really had a resurgence in his career.... that Xzibit assisted joint is a fuckin banger and the whole album can be listened through without filler.

Album had a few decent cuts but didn't come close to touching G-Funk Classics 1 and 2.  I remember I was very disappointed when I heard it for the first time back in the day.  I think it was his attempt to branch out from his normal close circle of 'death row related' artists and try some new stuff.  To me, Nate always shined on other people's songs.  His solo stuff was very hit and miss for me.  Of course I'm more of a rap fan than an R&B fan, so I think some of his solo stuff skewed towards the R&B end of the spectrum.
