Jay Rock's 'Redemption' Album Will Feature a "Dream" Collaboration with JAY-Z
On June 15, Jay Rock will release his third studio album, Redemption, which we learned last evening will feature several big name guests, including JAY-Z.
Following TDE's Championship Tour stop at New York's Madison Square Garden last night, the label hosted a private listening session for the album at The Williamsburg Hotel in Brooklyn, where Rock previewed seven songs off the upcoming LP.
While Rock wouldn't disclose the song's title, he did label his collaboration with JAY-Z as a "dream," according to DJBooth staff members in attendance.
In addition to "King's Dead," the album's lead single featuring Kendrick Lamar and Future, Redemption will feature a second collaborative cut with Lamar, which Rock said will remind fans of the "old days." Additional guests include Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih.
A video for the album's second single, "WIN," co-produced by Vinylz and Boi-1da, is now available on YouTube.

Waiting on this
-
I don’t see jay z listed here? Unless there is something I missed.
No ab-soul either. Shame.
-
Can't wait even though I didnt really feel his new song The Bloodiest
-
Shit got leaked and after two listens its pretty good but not great either. I expected a bit more aggression from jay rock.
-
I thought it was trash after a first listen and then I play it back and I was like Ok I might be a bit furious because this is definitely not I was expected from Rock... It's too soft for me especially when you know what Jay Rock dan do! I think his new major deal and the fact that he became the less popular act of TDE pushed him to put out an album like that...
I will definitely give this record more plays but so far it's disapoiting to me but I guess some people will like it
-
gonna check today
-
not bad after the 1st listen. TDE is not a good place to him Kendrick and Schoolboy Q will allways outshine him.
-
Album is fire. For What It its worth is too dope !!
Thanks TDE and Jay Rock
-
LOL at some of these reviews, this album goes hard as fuck
also this album >>> 90059
-
Where’s the jay z collab? And why no ab-soul
-
Fucc a Gay-Z collab!
-
I'm feeling it.
Rock nicest on TDE

glad they shot a video for that joint, one of my favorites too
good look for Rock 8)
-
this album is actually damn near flawless considering Rock went a different direction with it, the ‘weakest’ tracks are "Win", “Knock It Off”, and “Tap Out” yet they’re still decent joints, everything else is a solid 4/5 or classic
-
Some bangers, as expected. four as for me, Broke + - , OSOM, ES Tale. For what it's worth. 4 Jay's bangers are more than enough for me, for my personal taste. A lil sumthin for everybody right here. A few other instrumentals i like a lot too ( The bloodiest, rotation 112th, Tap Out) but not always feeling Jay's flow on those songs but hey, no disrecpect here, like i said above, a lil bit of everything for everybody and i'm plenty satisfied with my favourite ones. plus no harm in trying things artistically. Wish jay could bless us with some freestyles on those beats rapping more like in the four songs i mentionned first, i'm a selfish mf lol But this would push it to 7 instant classics for me, would be nuts, but as i said already thanks a lot Jay rock. Nice Album. 4/5 as for me too (5/5 with those three freestyles)
