The Los Angeles Superior Court jury found Wednesday by a 9-3 margin that Beats breached a contract with Steven Lamar and his company Jibe Audio.
Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine have to pay up $25million.
The music producer and co-founder of Interscope Records were not in court for the verdict.
The suit said Lamar in 2006 came to Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, with the idea for celebrity-endorsed headphones.
Attorneys for Lamar contended he was owed over $130 million for a dozen different models of headphones.

But still... it's kinda pathetic to make documentaries saying it was all his/Jimmie's ideas.
The Defiant Ones was all or almost all lies to make them look like they're 100% true and you could easily say it was nothing but marketing hoax. A big piece of advertisement movie.

And that’s at the very least. I mean the argument just always goes back to if Dre is just stealing ideas that what have Yella, Daz, J Flex, Sam Sneed, whoever that dude was who said he made “Gin and Juice”, Mel-Man, and whoever else done without Dr. Dre.
(Daz, I will say was maybe the closest to reaching the standard with Revenge, Retaliation, and Get Back—but it failed to even sell 400,000 in comparison to Dogg Food being 2-3 million sold classic with Dre still in the building and peeking his head in the session, mixing, or what have you...)
Obviously, Dre has the Midas touch. I mean who was that group, was it EPMD that had that “California Love” sample? And we’ve heard Quik with the Roger Troutman talk box thing. And PAC’s greatest songs up to that point were sad songs lyrically driven like “Dear Mama” and “Keep Your Head Up”....but suddenly Dre sticks his head in the building and he puts all that shit together and PAC comes out with his biggest banger ever “California Love” and nothin sounded on that level till Dre did it.
