I like Ren but I'm not feelin this. I dont get why west coast OG's who have classics in their catalog do shit like this. Generally speaking, people who are really trap fans ain't looking out for Ren and people who are looking out for Ren don't want him to start doing trap. It's like they want to be commercially relevant so bad but by doing shit like this you still don't appeal to the trap crowd cuz they don't know who the fuck you are and you're an older rapper and you piss off a lot of your die hard fans that want to hear that real Ren shit, so at the end you just play yourself out even more.

Maybe I'm wrong but I can't think of one west coast rapper from back in the day who's blown back up by going trap. Take Snoop for example, this fool tried doing trap, R&B, pop, reggae and all that shit and his best recent shit imo has been 7 Days of funk, then Coolaid and Neva Left. Snoop came back strong by doing his shit, what he sounds best on and what his longtime fans had been wanting.

Shit ain't that hard, just do what you do best and give the fans what the want.
