Does anyone have this CD? It's pretty rare cause I can never find it anywhere. BTW...is this entire album produced by Warren G?
-
i been lookin for this forever, im pretty sure you will never find it but if ya do, ya better get at me, lol
-
I got the Tape Single to "Steady Dippen" produced by Doctor Jam and "Da Whole 9" Produced By Bobcat
-
Yeah I have the 12" version of Steady Dippen/Da Whole 9 and also the 12" Steady Dippen Remix, I remember this getting a 3 or 3.5 in the Source (maybe) I just don't think it came out commercially. Too bad. Oh, I think QDIII did some production on it. Warren G and Mista Grimm had a falling out so I didn't think there would be any Warren produced tracks on there.
peace,

May 1994 Source
Warren G interview:
What happened with Grimm? I noticed you said some shit about him in one of your songs
You know, I was doing his album at first, but every time I'd try to get the dude to come into the studio to work, to finish up his album, he'd make up excuses, and I'm all about getting paid, I don't got time for no bullshit, and he kept bullshitting. And then he sold Nate Dogg out...He came to me and was like, "Warren, why don't we do some shows and get paid and don't pay Nate." But Nate was part of the song that was out at the time, "Indo Smoke." And I was like saying to myself in my head, "Uh uh." That's [Nate's] my homeboy, I can't even trust this dude right here. If he'll sell him out like that, he'll sell me out, so that's why I said I can't trust him. [Singing] What would you do for a Warren G cut, Mista Grimm? I was finished with almost the whole album but I took everything back. Now he can have Mr. DJ Pooh and QDIII and Bobcat and all of them do his album and see how it sounds then compared to what he had.
I still think it would sound dope with DJ Pooh and QDIII, but they don't fit Grimm's style as well as Warren G does. Too bad it never saw the light of day in either incarnation.

Meech Wells on track 12? I didn't know he was producin' shit back then.....I'm guessin' "Indo Smoke (party mix)" isn't the same production as the video version they used to show on The Box.
