You notice the last few years, there is not as much sampling going on?  Mainly just original production.

In the last few years i'd say there's been an increase in sampling again.

Dre, Premo, Kanye west, just blaze.....No matter what these producers will always be sampling.

True you may just not recognise where they are sampling from..
..alot using very rare soul n funk songs that unless you a soul or funk nut...ya may not ever recogise

Yep...I just heard on the music system at work the song that Masta Ace sampled for "Take a Walk".  I never knew that was an original song with the same exact chorus.



But what I'm sayin' is when you looked at the linear notes of a CD, damn near every song would be a sample of something, and I think producers are doing more and more original production nowadays.
