This purchase was due to the $1 billion in retail sales from Peppa Pig and the growing markets for that brand set to increase over the next 5 years. Death Row was simply a by-product. Definitely worth exploring some licensing deals with the existing 92-96 catalogue but there wouldn’t be any point in looking at any unpublished music

they could always sell the unpublished music to someone who cares

I don’t see why not. I find it odd that none of the original roster - IE; Snoop / Dre haven’t wanted the catalogue purely to license out their original (and arguably more popular / known) music out if they could turn a larger profit. It’s probably just too large a price, and threaded with several legal conditions that it’s just not worth the headache. Never figured out how the music industry in it’s decline can still carry huge price tags for leasing out rights to use the music. Anyone who’s a fan of the hit show The Wonder Years’ will know they had a fantastic DVD boxset release a while ago, and it was like $100 (expensive for a DVD box set right?) and even that didn’t include all of the original music from the series. Don’t get me wrong they had a lot of hit music from Four Tops, Miracles, obviously Joe Cockers theme, but they missed a Morrison track, at least 2 Beatles ones and a number of others. Literally to get this boxset complete as a DVD (not Blu-ray) they’d probably have to charge like $600 for it, just based on the rights to include all of the old music

It would be nice to get at least one more 2Pac album of his best unreleased tracks/original versions of previously released material, but it seems unlikely.
Hell, I'd even take another 'remix' album at this point.

Or what about a Dr Dre Superthug figure that comes with only one pose and a pull out string which says "Heeeeeeallllll Yeeeeaaaahhhhhh!" on command?

Man they could cake up so majorly just off the image. Sheyt, they could take the Hungry Hungry Hippos game and change it into the MOB Booty Squad where you throw a lil Sam Sneed in the middle and they all get buck doing what convicts do. The possibilities are endless.

Lol. This wouldn’t be a bad idea
