i actually edited a "I Wanna Thank Me - 1st Anniversary Edition", à la Tha Crip, and it's way more enjoyable to listen to.
i changed the order of the songs, shortened songs (hooks in some songs were repeated too many times), extended others, deleted songs i didn't feel, added songs i like (Snoop nearly always covers songs in his albums), deleted intros, moved intros as outros...

I could do without another Snoop album at this point in his career unless he brings the original Death Row team back on the boards. I stopped taking Snoop serious after he went thru a million facelifts with his music to see if something would stick with the fans.

Let Bygones Be Bygones was amazing for real. Didn’t like a lot of that album...I did fee the Kobe ESPN tribute song a lot too...and both songs had Snoop actually rapping about some real shit. You’re right though, Snoops freestyles are often better than what he spits on wax

Snoop was on a great winning streak that ended with “Paid the Cost”. It sold well but he sold out workin wit Pharrell and outside production, IMHO.
He was doing great for two solos and two Eastsidaz albums working wit his homies out West, with Dre’s people and with his in house Dogghouse homies.
I didn’t like any Snoop albums since Last Meal except the Snoop Lion Reincarnation project album and DVD

To be honest, I didn't have high expectations, but I have to say this is a really good track.
The rhymes were tight, beat while not outstanding, was nice, and Snoop's flow was properly on point and consistent throughout the whole track!
I wouldn't say it's going to be a classic Snoop track that will be ranked in his top 10, but damn it's really good!
I just hope he has 10-12 solid tracks like this, keeps out the filler and make sure the album flows well and i'd be very happy

I honestly find Snoop incredibly boring and a little bit embarrassing these days. I feel like he's been rapping over the same beat for 20 years and has absolutely NOTHING interesting or new to say any more. Just the same old shit over and over again. And the man comes across as a sad little petty man child at times.
He brings nothing new and then he gets a sublime Nate Dogg vocal for his last album and shits all over it with his sub-par shitty crooning. What a fucking let down.

I've lost track of what albums are what with Snoop as most of them have been garbage since the Last Meal (apart from a few good standouts on albums like Blue Carpet Treatment etc.) hopefully the likes of Shawn Mendes and Cardi B aren't featured on it. Sub par effort for this release. Mostly seem like throwaways and pretty weak they didn’t even re-record or master “look around”. Not even sure why that was added. “Sittin on Blades” was pretty chill and might have some replay value. “Talk that shit” is good, but seems like an old track already.

I like the album fine, but this is stuff he used to churn out by the dozens and throw on soundtracks or b-sides to singles during the No Limit days. I agree with Doggfather in that it feels more like one of his EPs, which were fine, than a proper album. And I was one of the people saying he needed to cut down his albums, but now I feel like this is too short, so go figure.

Usually, I would be disappointed about a 10 track album, but this one is about 10 tracks too long. This has to be towards the bottom of all Snoop Dogg releases. I am hoping that he used all of his good songs on the Mt. Westmore project. Snoop has to get back with someone that will exercise a little bit of quality control. Just so much garbage. There are a couple of decent beats and some of the features had potential, but the albums sounds like a mess. Was looking forward to hear Mozzy on there, but instead Snoop just put him on a throwaway track.

I'd say 7/10 are cool songs. A few slappers for sure. Better than anything he's put out in a long time but unfortunately the bar is pretty low these days so that's not saying a whole lot. But these days, I'll take a handful of decent Snoop tracks over most of what's out in this era.
You know Look Around is old - that's back when rappers would lay 3 verses. This 1-2 verse, 2-3 minute song bullshit needs to stop today.
I'm still holding out hope for the album with just Snoop and Dr. Dre (no features): Breakup To Makeup. They really need to go out with a bang before they hang it all up.

That Black Eyed Peas video is fresh! They took the classic album cover concept further and actually switched beats and rap styles to match them.
Snoop should of done the same, decent as it is though.

Just looked into the WEB FLAC version of this album and damn, they actually put that DJ Drama mixtape MP3 file of "Look Around" on his official album. That track was first featured on the "Blue Carpet Treatment - Mixtape" back in 2006 (same length and tags by DJ Drama as this album version). A year later, he "officially" released the untagged, high quality version on his "Unreleased Heatrocks" project. The full track's length is 4:28 compared to the 3:39 mixtape / album version.

I'd like to add that you can also hear the beginning of "Vato", when Look Around ends. It barely lasts a second, but it's still a little funny.
The autotune intro on "Left My Weed" is off-key too, they used the wrong settings for that...

Compared to what they did in the past, this does not define their production ability. Go listen to Terrace's stuff with other major artists, his sound is amazing. Then again, Snoop was never good at picking beats for his own projects

It’s been a while since Uncle Snoop released a really consistent album, and From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites isn’t that album either, but this one is solid Snoop – admittedly with no real stand-outs, but with no real throw-away tracks either. Sure, some songs are stronger than others – “Gang Signs” is the best song with its phat bassline and catchy hook, and “CEO”, and “Get Yo Bread” are among the stronger tracks too, while “Say It Witcha Booty” and a couple of others are more questionable. I like this album. Its better than I expected. I like all the songs except Say It Witcha Booty. The beats bang, except I wish they remastered Look Around like others have said. This album has been on replay for me. Out of the old school West Coast rappers that have released albums recently, this has been the one where I press the skip button the least. Like I said, I only don't like one song from the whole album. Can't wait for Mount Westmore!

yes they arent quantized before it shouldnt be. quantizing drums makes it sound midi. no drum player can play any drum pattern quantized. however swinging drums are a caractheristic of west coast sound. i like the way amplified wrote the drums unquantized. sounds more real and live. it could be mixed better anyway.

Same here. Nowhere near my favorite but the lack of expectation - for whatever it's worth - might've had a positive effect on this album overall. Still, it does bump in the ride.
He should add bonus songs on the hard copies.

Rap CDs and even vinyl seem to be about dead. Didn't get a physical release for the new Goodie Mob, haven't seen anything on the new J. Cole or DMX, and not looking good on this Snoop. As a collector, it's annoying.
