That's stunning. Yet another unreleased track from those sessions. This track is one I can see myself listening to every once in a while. It got that matured, mellow vibe to it that I expected from Dre at that stage of his career. Thanks a lot for sharing that track, Chad. 8)
Now I'm just waiting for that Dre and Snoop track that released as a snippet a year or two ago. Would fit in nicely with this one.

That was a good interview with Budda' on there. Good questions like about the making of "Been There Done That" and "Bow Down" and how "Bow Down" was almost given to Dre instead of Cube. Also, his Pittsburgh connections. Interesting how many producers Dre has grabbed from Pittsburgh, coincidence because I don't think of Pitt as a music city??

That Carol track by Truth Hurts produced by Dr Dre sounds a lot like it's a DJ Quik production. I can see Dre adding in the bassline, but the 90% of that tracks sounds like it's Quik. Maybe he removed some traingle and bell pops and added in his bassline to a Quik track?

ALLEGED DR. DRE ‘DETOX’ TRACK ‘GET IT’ LEAKS
A new Detox-era Dr. Dre track has surfaced online.
On Monday (November 16), journalist Chad Kiser premiered the full version of “Get It” on his website, which had previously leaked online as a snippet in 2018. Over the beat 50 Cent freestyled on for his 2009 throwaway record “50 For President,” Dre raps to his haters and gives them a word of advice.
“I’ma fuck that n-gga bitch, I’ma get me a chain/I’ma rap and blow the roof off this hip-hop game,” he spits. “I’ma slang a couple beats, get rich like you/Dre ain’t the only n-gga with tracks, I got heat, too/The shit might happen if you fuckin’ work as much as you talk/Get some money and you blow it because you tryin’ to floss!”
In an interview with VladTV back in August, Akon discussed his contributions to the shelved project and expressed his desire for it to see the light of day, despite Dre’s objections.
“I don’t think [Dre] understands his power sometimes,” he said. “I don’t think that — I think he’s gonna win no matter what because he’s Dre! Just drop that bitch! Like he got bangers though. I know for a fact I did a couple of bangers that the world probably will never hear. But man, from what I did hear when we were working together and I was submitting records for ’em, man, they got so much heat. But he’s just a perfectionist — too perfect.”
In the 2017 HBO documentary The Defiant Ones, Dre explained it was his lack of connection to the project that ultimately caused him to scrap it.
“I never had any connection with [Detox], it didn’t work,” he said. “I’m never gonna do that again.”

Crazy how little interest people seem to have in Dre and Detox. We got an unleaked Song from Detox and barely 2 pages of comments. A few years ago the comments would’ve been in the hundreds. This is a good example of what happens when people sit on songs too long. Basically the same thing is happening with the unleaked Death Row scene now. Even when something new leaks, only a handful of people seem to care. Just a shame.

I don’t dispute that at all. By looking at this thread and the possible upcoming album thread you can see people that don’t usually post in here are posting in these threads. It goes to show that compared to anything else in the forum Dre creates the most interest. This is a quiet forum but it’s dedicated in its interests.

Oh for sure. I know people are still anticipating Dre’s new album. Just saying the mythical Detox album everyone wanted to hear years ago seems to have lost interest. This song would’ve been huge news had it leaked a few years ago.
