ALEX FERGUSON has gone on an early offensive against rival boss Arsene Wenger by claiming Patrick Vieira would rather be at Manchester United.
Ferguson tried to get Arsenal's French midfield maestro last summer but the Highbury board stood firm and blocked any move.
Now, with the new Premiership season less than two weeks away, Ferguson insists Vieira, alongside every other player outside of Old Trafford, is envious of those who play for United.
Ferguson said: "I am lucky. I am working for the best club in the world.
"I don't have problem players. There is no player in this country who wouldn't want to play for Manchester United.
"They would all like to come here. Vieira would have loved to have come here last year but they wouldn't let him.
"Players will always want to go to a bigger club. That's life."
Muhahahahahaahahahahaah
It's on next season, it's on.
