This isn't about the movie, so it's in the right category.
Mel Gibson is making a movie called "Passion", it's about the last days of Christ. That's Jesus for those of you who ain't believers.
Anyways, Look at this article I scooped from CNN, can people get anymore stupid?

Demonstrators protest 'Passion'

NEW YORK (CNN) -- "The Passion," a movie about Jesus conceived and directed by Mel Gibson, could re-ignite violence against Jews, protesters warned Thursday in a rally outside the midtown Manhattan headquarters of News Corporation, owner of film studio 20th Century Fox.
Described as a vivid depiction of the last 12 hours of Jesus' life, the film is raising concerns among Jewish and Roman Catholic groups.
"This film is dangerous for Jews all over the world. This film can potentially lead to violence directed against the Jewish community. This film will result in anti-Semitism, bigotry. It really takes us back to the Dark Ages, plain and simple," said Assemblyman Dov Hikins, D-New York.
"Two thousand years of Jews, millions of Jews, being slaughtered through the ages, the Inquisition, the Crusades, and so on and so forth, all for the so-called sin of the crucifixion of Jesus, and all the work that has been done by the Catholic Church in Rome to move away from that, Mel Gibson is turning the clock back to the Dark Ages," he added.
Hikins was joined by Councilman Simcha Felder, D-Brooklyn, and councilman David Weprin, D-Queens, among other community representatives.
Asked if he had seen the movie, Hikins said he saw a brief clip of it "and the brief clip that I saw of the film, of a mob of Jews yelling for the crucifixion of Jesus, was enough to scare the daylights out of me."

So, their concern is that people are going to hate the Jews for what they did to Jesus. Well, guess what, some people already do... (not me, i'm just saying). The only people that will hate the jews for this probably ALREADY KNOW ABOUT IT. It's no big secret why Jesus was killed, everybody that's 'passionate' enough to hate them for it, already knows the story, it's right there in the bible, LOL.
Who are they afraid will get mad? Do they think some christians going to go "You know what, Jesus was the MAN! He'd still be here if he hadn't been crucified. Lesse, he was crucified in Jerusalem, but I NEVER KNEW THE JEWS DID IT." ? ANYBODY who cares about Jesus has read the bible, and anybody who has read the bible can tell you the Romans crucified Jesus, and that the Jews demanded it.

Why would Mel Gibson attempt to rewrite history? He's just providing an accurate view of Jesus's crucifixion, and the only record he has to go by is the bible. I can't believe some people. I saw roots, and I'm glad the white people were portrayed as assholes, it shows the world that they're different than me.
