Title: ITALY OUT: THE DAY AFTER! SCANDAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Post by: Juice on June 20, 2002, 07:25:44 AM
Yo! I've just translated some of the articles of today, the real day-after of Italian elimination.

This is dedicated to all the bitches who wrote: "Italians are only crying but nobody damaged them", or "there are no plots or wars against Italy". Look, the situation is a lil bit different. Just read. Read Blatter's comments and read all the things that will happen in the next days. It's not possible that FIFA is admitting they damaged Italy in 3 games and nobody will pay for it.

BLATTER: YEAH, WE DAMAGED ITALY
Josep Blatter, president of FIFA and boss of the World Cup, admitted in an exclusive interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport that he saw a serie of mistakes against Italy, during the World Cup. He admitted that the english refree of Croazia-Italy made 2 important mistakes not giving a regular goal (the one of Vieri) and not calling a blow on the elbow to an Italian player, when the action was at 3 meters from him. So FIFA sent him at home. Then he admitted the scandalous direction of refree Byron Moreno, for Korea-Italy. He said that the red card of Totti wasnt a penalty, but it wasnt a simulation too, and that the goal of Tommasi was regular. Moreno, the refree, received a negative valutation and is now back home. This is what the 2 official Judges of the refree of FIFA, Roth Volker and Mendez Codesal, said about the game: "Regarding the red card of Totti, the refree didnt consider the dynamic of the action. The player didnt simulate, so it was been a bad decision. Plus the same refree said he didnt remember he already gave a yellow card to the player". Incredible. Blatter took all the responsabilities, saying that he made a mistake with the system of selection of the refrees, and he said that from the next World Cup, only the best refrees will be called.

CARRARO TO TALK AGAINST BLATTER AND FIFA
Franco Carraro, President of Italian Federation of Football, will talk against Blatter and FIFA on monday. According to an italian newspaper, Corriere Dello Sport, the President will officially blame Blatter and FIFA for the mistakes made during the World Cup, and in particular with the non-tranparent system of selection of the refrees. Corriere Dello Sport also wrote Carraro is preparing an official report of Italian Federation blaming Korea to bought the refree. According to the newspaper, Italy got enought proofs, and Carraro, who didnt talk in Korea delaying all comments in Italy, will sue both FIFA and Moreno, the refree.

RAI IS THINKING ABOUT A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST FIFA
The Italian public TV Channel RAI will sue FIFA. According to the boss-lawyer of Via Mazzini (RAI), Rubes Esposito: "FIFA gotta answer about the actions of refrees, who caused RAI millions of euros lost. The refrees are under direct control of FIFA, and it's FIFA who is responsable for their actions. Here
we are in front of situations where FIFA is talking about mistakes, even very important mistakes, in the person of Josep Blatter, the boss of FIFA. Somebody at FIFA is even talking about a plot". RAI was been one of the tv's who had to pay the most to get the rights of the World Cup.

TOMATOS? NO, HEROES!
The Italian team is just back home. Italy gave them a great welcome back, screaming the Italian National anthem and calling the players "Heroes". The main theme in Italy those days is: "Trapattoni out & war to FIFA".

P.S.
I know some of you in this board will reply with stupid posts. Just remember that BLATTER, THE BOSS OF FIFA AND OF THIS
WORLD CUP, ADMITTED THE NUMEROUS MISTAKES AGAINST ITALY.

Ohh.. and thanx to Overseer cause we had a great conversation about it on irc. Oh.. and to the mod who closed the other post... it's cool between me & Overseer.

Yeah homie. You right. But... look.. it's too hard to face it when it aint just 1 mistake like for Belgium, but 5 offsides, 1 red card given against us, 2 not given for us, etc..

That's just too much. And BLATTER admitting it and then saying: "But Italians have to face it and back home with dignity" is the dumbest thing ever to accept for us. Try to immagine it for a second.

With the linesman of Croatia-Italy admitting he made mistakes, with the refree of Mexico sent home, and with Moreno sent home too by FIFA, after a "negative game". With them all admitting they made 3 negative games against Italy.

It never happened before. 3 GAMES! Only decisions against ITALY. Not 1 single decision pro-Italy. NOT 1. ONLY AGAINST.

Never happened, and i still cant accept it. Expecially papers of all the world wrote: "ITALY DESERVED TO GO OUT" and shit like that.

Man.. you from Belgium, and you saw how hard is to react to a mistake, like the one the refree made in the game with Brazil. That mistake of the refree totally shocked Belgium, and Brazil scored 2 goals. Belgium just didnt find the power to react and to tie/win.

The same happened to Turkey against Brazil, with Rivaldo simulating and with FIFA saving him from banning. LOL. Turkey just didnt find the power to react, and in the next game they had to send COLLINA (the best) to be the refree of Turkey, against home team Japan.

Now just try to immagine it for 3 consecutive games, with only decisions against Italy (and i think it's a fact now). Can u still find the power to fight? And can u still be brilliant to play well? Oh..... i forgot.... in Korea. Against Korea! LOL.

That's why we feel robbed. :-/

Yeah, but it's too funny how it was: "Italy can only cry" in Brazil and "Italy deserved to go out" in UK. Or "Italy out too" in France, like to justify France's elimination.

This cant be viewed by a lot of points. I mean.. the only point of view is that FIFA and BLATTER admitted Italy received nothing but damns from this World Cup.

Then all the comments are personals and stupids. Expecially if they are Brazilians to make them (remember Rivaldo? Turkey and Belgium? LOL).

So still... fucked up World Cup. Italy Robbed. And nobody gives a fuck cause Brazil and England are still there. SAD.

Yeah. I'm a diehard Laker fan. Since day 1. Who knows me (Axle and lbc213 for example) knows i even knew Kobe, when he was here in Italy (my daddy was a refree, and he was really close with Joe Bryant). Anyway... i'm a diehard Laker fan and i cant neglect the fact that Lakers robbed a game. Now it's too hypocrite and pathetic to write: "Fuck Sac. L.A. is the best" and things like that. Truth is truth. Opinions are opinions. Disses are disses.

About Italy... 90% of the world changed truth with opinions (like the one "Italy deserve to go out because they didnt attack after 1-0") or disses ("Italians can only cry and robb", by Brazilians muthafuckaz. The same ones of Rivaldo, Turkey and Belgium, lol).

Feel me?

OVERSEER.. I TRIED TO BE COOL WITH YOU ALL THE TIMES, I EVEN PM YOU ASKING YOU TO STOP, BUT... DAMN.. YOU ARE TOTALLY A DICKHEAD!

1) I ALREADY EXPLAINED NOBODY WILL NEVER SUE FIFA, BUT PROBABLY RAI. NOT ITALIAN FEDERATION. It was one extreme, and the other was that Italy will accept it. None of the two things obviously will happen.
2) I said that rumors were that Italy had the proofs that the Korean president (vice President of FIFA) bought the refree, Moreno. If that's real, then Moreno can go to jail. That's what i said. That's illegal. And if Blatter knows everything, he can be forced to retire. And Korea can be banned for the next 10 World Cup, and i dont know.. if you buy a refree.. that's ILLEGAL. Cause that's not only football, but it's business too, you know. But since World Cup and FIFA is bigger than Italy, and since just 1 team out of 30 received 3 negative refrees, it's not a problem for FIFA cause the competition was been overally with good refrees, at least according to them. The only fucked up thing is that it happened to Italy. It's just a statistic for FIFA. And you dont care.

And to the Korean guy... man you so dumb that you are talking shit.... GO TO THE FUCKING FIFA SITE AND READ THE ARTICLES BY YOURSELF. DO YOU STILL NEED YOUR MAMA TO CLEAN YOUR ASS AFTER YOU SHIT? DAMN.

Moron, FIFA and Blatter admitted it. LOL.

And it was no offsides for 2 reasons:
1) the position was regular
2) a defender touched the ball. I dunno if you know soccer there in Korea (obviously not), but if a defender touches the ball, there's no offside.

Italy went for the win and had the ball in the net when Damiano Tommasi converted Vieri’s pass, only to be ruled narrowly offside. It was, remarkably, Italy’s fifth disallowed goal in the tournament, surely something of a record, and was quickly followed by Ahn's winning 'golden goal'. Afterwards, Trapattoni and his players complained bitterly about the Ecuadorean referee.

Oh.. and about Totti's red card... i got something about it too..
Francesco Totti, who had been rightly booked for elbowing in the first half but who was now enjoying his best period of the game, tangled with Song Chong-gug just inside the area and was sensationally sent off for diving.

This is the first time in my whole life i've seen UEFA talking like that about a game. Usually they never talk like that, of course. But still... read it. UEFA, not italian newspapers!

Just the last one, since you prolly lives in the States:

Ecuadorian referee Byron Moreno sent off an Italian player, Francesco Totti, in overtime after ruling that he dived in an attempt to draw a penalty on South Korea. The replays indicated that he did not, but Italy was left a man short, and 14 minutes later it was out of the tournament.

Fifa boss Blatter condemns World Cup referees
SEOUL - Fifa president Sepp Blatter has labelled some of the refereeing decisions at the World Cup 'disastrous' and said there will be changes to how officials are selected for future tournaments.

On the subject of Italy, which had forward Francesco Totti sent off controversially during its 1-2 loss to South Korea, Blatter admitted that 'the expulsion of Totti was neither a penalty, nor simulation'.

Byron Moreno, the Ecuadorean referee now hated by Italians, and three others who have also been involved in other controversial incidents, have been sent home.

Moreno was however adamant that he would make the same decisions again.

'I have not damaged any team. It's painful for Italy to go out but don't blame Mr Moreno. Blame yourselves,' he told Italian newspaper Correire della Sera yesterday.

He insisted Totti had dived in the penalty area, earning a red card. On Damiano Tommasi's disallowed goal in extra time, he said: 'The assistant referee raised his flag. He was in an ideal position to judge. I have faith in my officials.'

Blatter: assistant referees a 'disaster'

MILAN, Italy (AP) - Labelling linesmen at the World Cup "a disaster," FIFA's president said in an interview published Thursday that he would propose changes in the selection, training and designation of match officials for future editions of the competition. In the interview with the Milan daily Gazzetta dello Sport, FIFA president Sepp Blatter also said certain refereeing decisions against Italy at the World Cup caused him to "suffer deeply."

Two episodes during the match - playmaker Francesco Totti's sending off for diving and an offsides call against midfielder Damiano Tommasi - provoked outrage in Italy.

TV replays suggested Totti fell in the penalty area after making contact with an opponent and that Tommasi was onside when he received the pass from a teammate. Had Tommasi's goal stood, Italy would have won via the golden goal rule.

Blatter denied any conspiracy but conceded several dubious decisions had damaged the Italians.

"Unfortunately, through exceptional circumstances and coincidences, numerous and consecutive errors were concentrated on the Italian team," Blatter said in the interview.

"To make things worse, in some of these circumstances, like Damiano Tommasi against South Korea, the action, then stopped for offside, had resulted in a decisive goal. It was certainly inadequate refereeing, but also very unlucky," Blatter was quoted as saying.

Also, the incident involving Totti, "was neither a penalty nor a dive," Blatter said. "In any case a referee with a greater 'feeling' wouldn't have booked (Totti), remembering that the player had already received a yellow card and would have to be sent off for a second offence."

FIFA admits Italy-Korea referee blundered
AFP
Seoul, June 21

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Italian-South Korea referee was wrong to send off Italian captain Francesco Totti for diving FIFA admitted on Friday.
Edgardo Codesal, a member of FIFA's referee committee, said television replays proved that Byron Moreno, who has been branded public enemy numer one in Italy for expelling Totti, had blundered.

Moreno had claimed there had been no contact with a Korean defender and that Totti had dived.

"Totti dived. I was 15-20 metres away. I had a very clear view. The right decision," he insisted.

But Codesal, who refereed the 1990 World Cup final, said television had proved Moreno was wrong.

"If you freeze the screen you see contact between Totti and a Korean player," said Codesal.

But he refused to criticise the Ecuadorian referee.

"It was a very difficult situation for the referee," said Codesal. "At the speed of the game today mistakes can happen. It is impossible to see everything."

Codesal refuted claims from Italy that Moreno had been part of a conspiracy to ensure Italy went out early from the tournament.

"Referees are honest men and try to do their best. The idea is to try to be fair, this is very important but mistakes always happen," he said.

"The referee's mistake is part of the game, like the player's mistake, like the coach's mistake. We need to be more human with the referee," he added.

Codesal warned that one mistake should not be allowed to mar the tournament.

He said that out of the 5,000 odd decisions taken by referee and linesmen in the tournament to date only four or five important mistakes had been made.

"About one per thousand. It is low," said Codesal.

FIFA President Sepp Blatter joined the battle of words over refereeing and called for the system on how referees are selected to be changed.

At present referees come from all six FIFA confderations.

"A World Cup that has the best players and teams in the world should be overseen by the best referees regardless of their nationality," said Blatter.

"From now on we will call in the best, full stop, even if they come from just a handful of countries."

Codesal said he was not opposed to such an idea.

"I am always open to ideas that would improve the level but to get the solution is not easy. Referees are human beings not machines," he said.

SEOUL, June 19: Fifa leapt to the defence of World Cup referees here yesterday after furious criticism was levelled at Ecuadorean referee Byron Moreno follo-wing South Korea's stunning upset win over Italy.

Spokesman Keith Cooper insisted Fifa were satisfied with the standard of the refe-rees.

"Inaccuracies have been kept to a minimum," said Cooper. Last week Fifa president Sepp Blatter also rushed to the aid of referees.

The 66-year-old said there had been no problems with the refereeing however he did admit there were problems with the linesmen.

"A major problem in football at the professional level we are playing are not the referees but the assistant referees," said Blatter.

"We have to find a solution of how better they can judge offside. This is a point where we have to put our importance for the future," he added.

Moreno has been branded 'public enemy number one' in Italy after he sent off captain Francesco Totti.

Italian coach Giovanni Trapattoni had no doubt law student Moreno was to blame for his side's shock loss.

"Everyone saw the match," he said. "We were penalised. I don't understand why my player was expelled. I don't understand why we had to become a victim of bad decision making.

"There were some bizarre decisions in some situations. We'll have to analyse this calmly." Italy's Public Administration Minister Franco Frattini joined the row, raging: "An indecent and scandalous referee! I've never seen a match like that. It seemed like they got around a table and decided in advance to throw us out "Somebody has to demand an explanation for the refereeing." Italy's football federation chief Franco Carraro apologised to Italian television viewers for the defeat when he was interviewed on the touchline after the match.

He said he would reserve his comments about Moreno's refereeing performance until he got home to Italy.

But Italy is not the only nation to vent their anger towards the men in black.

Spanish coach Jose Antonio Camacho had few kind words to say about Swedish referee Anders Frisk after his side's 3-2 penalty shoot-out win over Ireland.

The sides had finished extra-time level at 1-1 but Camacho believed the match should have been settled before Ireland were awarded a penalty in the final minute of normal time which was converted by Robbie Keane.

"We had three or four opportunites and the referee blew for offside. I'm not sure they were offside and I don't think the final penalty (Keane's) was a penalty," said Camacho.

And the referee in the USA's shock 2-0 win over Mexico also came in for criticism when he missed a blatant hand ball by American defender John O'Brien.

Mexico appealed in vain for a penalty when O'Brien used a fist to prevent the ball reaching Cuauhtemoc Blanco's head but Portuguese referee Vitor Melo Pereira never saw it. ?

check what Maradona said.....

ROME (AFP) - Diego Maradona has weighed in on Italy's side in the great World Cup refereeing debate, blasting officials' handling of matches in an article written for Italy's Expresso news magazine Friday.

"If I'm not mistaken, no team in a World Cup has been given as many unmerited slaps in the face as Italy," said Maradona, who captained Argentina to World Cup victory in 1986 and won an Italian championship with Napoli.

"Under the shadow of referees, this World Cup is already a failure," said Maradona, who has been struggling in recent years to overcome cocaine abuse.

"Why so much aversion to Italy and so many favors for Brazil, who were thankful for a non-existent penalty and the lack of a red card for the farce staged by Rivaldo?" asks Maradona.

"Even leaving aside the inexplicable disallowed goal by Belgium" against Brazil in their second round tie, won 2-1 by Brazil.

Italy cried foul when it was beaten by South Korea in a second round match marred by refereeing decision which it says cost it a place in this weekend's quarterfinals, including a disallowed "golden-goal" in extra-time.

In the end, the Koreans won the match with a "golden goal" of their own.

"Watching the World Cup from Cuba I don't know the games going on in the background. All I know is that FIFA puts its own interests first."

"The main protagonists in football must be the players and not the bureaucrats. It's one of my old battles."

Is it a coincidence another refree did the same against Spain in Korea's last game? And against Portugal in the game before Italy? That's the only question. If you think it's a coincidence, then probably Korea is the luckyest team in the World Cup history. You lucky or korrupted? Lucky? Ok. Then please stop talking like Koreans are heroes and Italians and Spanish morons. Cause it's the opposite, according to the rest of the world.

BWHAHAHAHAHA yo why all of a sudden being a bitch for 3 different countrys??? i found it funny how you didn't say shit when we beat portugal but since we beat italy and spain NOW you talk shit....i mean you talk bullshit before the game korea-italy.....what the fuck is your problem??? why don't you stop being a coward and if you seriously have a problem with the games why don't you go to the public and start protesting or something instead of hiding behind the screen??? man you need a life fast...and why do you call koreans morons just because we beat 3 major teams mostly by SKILL???? i don't understand....so you think italins and spanish are heroes?!?!?!? LMAO...dude you are so ignorant...yeah..flopping, pulling hair, grabbing shirts, crying, being bitches are such heroes ::) and NO the rest of the world thinks korea has improved and is merging into one of world's elite teams......its only the italins which makes sense since ya'll the biggest bitches in the world....youre just hating because it ain't all eurpeans, south african teams anymore...dude we are winning because our coach hiddink he set up things well for the team...let me teach you something...do you really think that the players thats out playing for korea are the 11 best players in our country???? HELL NO....theres AT LEAST 3-4 REAL STAR PLAYERS (goalie included) for korea sitting out in this world cup because our coach doesn't like individual play...he mostly thinks 100% teamwork and even ahn jung whan almost got cut for that...anyways, so it ain't luck, it ain't the refs, its mostly skill and home court advantage....look man i don't even want any beef with you for real...i don't want to have a beef with some crazy psycho internet gangsta...you scaring me ;D

Drunken fool, do you still want me to show how moron and ignorant you are? Cause i did it for your last 300 posts. So please shut up and enjoy your party.

Korea made 1 shot in 88 mins against Italy, and 1 in 90 against Spain. Then the refrees made the difference.

About Portugal.. i didnt give a fuck about them until we faced Korea. I mean.. they received a bad refree, just like Belgium, or Turkey, or USA. The strange thing was been the game vs Italy, the 2nd consecutive. Then Spain, the 3rd. 3 consecutive robbed games.

But... oh.. continue celebrate. You so dumb that you cant even understand that, while you all are celebrating, the whole world (but England, of course) is thinking you robbed and you didnt deserve to be there. If you dont care, then you dont know what sport is about. It's not about regime no more, man. It's not Korean power vs West Coast World power. LOL. Update your mind.

BWHAHAHAHAHA!! can you get any more ignorant and dumber???? dude why do you lie so much when we all know the stats??? this is the OFFICAL STATS:

korea-spain game:

                             korea                            spain
number of shots:         8(3)                              18(8)
fouls:                         20                                   21
corner kicks:                5                                      6
off-sides:                    2                                       5
time of poss                51%                                   49%
yellow cards                1                                       2
red card                      0                                       0
saves                         8                                         3

in the korea-italy game:

                             korea                                  italy
shots:                        12(7)                               14(6)
fouls:                         29                                      22
corner kicks                  10                                     7
off sides                       0                                       5
time of possess              56%                                  44%
yellow cards                  4                                       4
red cards                       0                                       1
saves                            5                                      6

BTW...the prenthesis is the actual number of shots that was headed for the goal....and spain took 8 shots actually towards the goal compared to our 3...and for the italy they took 6 compared to our 7

LOL....my point is korea isn't winning because of no bullshit luck...as you can see on the stats...we are winning mostly of skill, home court advantages and i admit one or two lucky calls...

we took only one shot?? LMAO..what a dumbass

its put it this way the korea team is 80% is skill, 15% home crowd, and 5% lucky calls(since we only get 1 or 2)

the whole world think we robbed??? LOL there is at least 200-300 countries in the world.....italy and spain doesn't make it 200-300 LOL...go study mathematics..seriously man just quit it.....i've never seen ANYONE bitch like this in my whole entire life....don't be a coward and PLEASE go out in the public for once in a while and get some help FAST.....
