im gonna seem real dumb ASKIN this but wut duz 'bar' mean , wen it comes 2 diss tracks n' that?

..it has something to do with reading music.

Im guessing that a bar is the same thing as a "line", like a line of words?

Yeah, the average verse is 16 lines.. aka 16 bars.
That's considered the standard, even though not everybody sticks with it.

There's usually a little pause within each bar.. and then he quickly starts with a new line.
It can be a kinda gimmick.. rappers making tracks called "100 bars" and such.
