As I read in the newspaper, the world's biggest snake has been captured on Java,Indonesia.

This python is 14.82 m. long ( :o) and weighs no less then 482 kilograms.(that's half a tonne   :o) At it's heighest point,the middle (duh) it's 85 cm high. It's kept in captivity on Java at the village where it was caught. According to it's capturers,who have held it for 1 year now,it eats 3 to 4 dogs a month.

The previous record for longest snake was a South-American anaconda at ca. 9,72 m. and less then 150 kilograms. That one was killed but since this one's still alive and cared for,it might grow even bigger then it is now.

My newspaper also had a picture of the beast and I can asure you, it's really huge. It's head looks like big shoebox-sized.

But not really that much. If it had been a warm-blooded creature it would have needed lots more energy and would probably have needed something like 15 dogs a month. That's why a 15 m. long lion shouldn't be kept in a dog pound. ;)

This python would undoubtedly be able to strangle and eat any human as well.

Now scale it up to near 15 meters. You get my drift?

KENDAL, Indonesia, Dec 30 (Reuters) - A recreation park in Indonesia is displaying a 15-metre (49 feet) python -- making it the longest ever captured -- that was revered as a tribal ruler and has a huge appetite for dogs.

The huge, dark-coloured male snake has a diameter of 85 centimetres (2.8 feet), weighs 447 kg (984 lb) and is 14.85 metres long, according to keepers of an animal exhibition at the Curugsewu park in the small Central Java town of Kendal.
