recommend me some old school joints to cop
Music along the lines of the 'Remember The Titan' soundtrack... that typa ish

Good Ike and Turner albums or whatever...help me explore some older music

One Way - They got this one song EVERYBODY should hear, it's called Cutie Pie. That's more on the funky tip though.

saw a Temptations album there, something like Psychodelic Soul or something? This a good one to buy?

Curtis Mayfield!!  (rip)    get the superfly soundtrack :)

you might be best off getting some funk/soul comps till you find what you like, there are loads out there.

Kool & The Gang did some good stuff too.. a song called 'NT' (think it means no title) and 'summer madness. (most famously used by premier on "... in deep concentration" and a lil section was used on fresh princes summertime)

Chic (for more disco-funk tracks).
James Brown (no further explanation).
Isaac Hayes.
Tower Of Power.
Mandrill.
Mtume.

Good call Seer. Curtis Mayfield & Kool & The Gang are 2 of my faves.
