Obviously, 50 Cent will be the big seller, but as far as the whole package..

I don't know cuz different people might have different definitions of "King"... I still think Nas has to show and prove some more...He's got longevity in the game but he hasn't had alot of influence over the culture like 50 or Jada has. I think maybe if Nas's new album has great commercial success this summer and hip hop heads start paying attention to more than guns, crack and jewels then Nas will have had an impact and that would put him higher in the runnings for King.

jada be sick, he might take the summer but not the crown, like someone said, he aint a boss yet, he gotta drop 2 gems in a row........not having to be classic but 2 serious gems n then he'll be somewhere real close to it........
cant wait for jadas joint to come though.......
but now that nas got his album cut down to a single album, im much more hyped about his album now

Nas has been in the underdog position for a long while..
He seemed to lose the glow after the pretty good Stillmatic.
But Jada's also been a underdog when it comes to solo careers, so their next albums will show & maybe prove..

i don't live in NEw york but i really got to agree with Tom Here
no one likes dipset, and only a handful of people like jadakiss.....and those who do like nas and 50 more
KONY is 50 and g-unit. it's been that way since Feb 03'
before that it was Nas....jay-z lost his crown after Stillmatic dropped.

With all that being said.... 50 cent has the Crown everyone else will have to dethrown him. But, for now 50 hands down. He took it with a hostile takeover in "03". Jada, Nas, & Cam have albums coming out this year. But, so does 50 cent. If they are going to seize the thrown the time is now. 8)

Yup, that's why he got this hot Timbaland produced track with N.O.R.E. called "Don't Believe Me". HEAT 8) There was also a short interview with him in the XXL issue where the Aftermath was on the cover. I got that one 8)

Nas at the moment easily.
Talib Kweli is gonna have a very legitimate claim to the throne once he brings out his new album, most probably with a Kanye produced first single, and finally gets some recognition outside Hiphop circles for his amazing talent.

no i aint even heard of the guy. the only album people in ny are really hyped about is the banks album believe it or not. Nas will get a lot of hype when his new album is close to dropping. there was some hype around ghostface, not much an it will proberly be the same for jada

Don't base it off the net. LOL. It's like this site or WCRydaz. We(people from L.A.) talk about Crooked I, Bad Azz, 40 Glocc and a gang more. But, if I ask my co-workers or people at school, they won't know the half of them. But, they're always ready for a Snoop or Dre album. So, it's safe to say, even those Internet Forums talk about Crooked I and others, they're not the Kings of L.A.
Plus, a lot of SOHH is from Overseas, too.

Talent-wise it should've been either Rakim or Nas all along and not Jay, but since it's more commercial appeal and sales-wise it's obviously gonna be 50 Cent.
Jada has a good chance as well. My favorite emcee from NY currently.

im thinkin Erik sermon may have a chance. he's different than all the other NY rappers, he even thinks NY and the whoe industry is at a low, as do i. his new joint Feelin It is pretty tight too. him or lloyd will be the NY kings im predicting......and watch out for Ness from philly, his song Whats Hood or whatever sounded hot. peacce.
