1. experience dedication - 3.5
2. move somethin - 4
3. some kind of wonderful - 4.5
4. the blast - 5
5. this means you - 5
6. too late - 4.5
7. memories live - 5
8. africa dream - 4.5
9. down for the count feat. xzibit - 4.5
10. name of the game - 3.5
11. ghetto afterlife - 3
12. on my way - 3.5
13. love language - 5
14. soul rebels - 2.5
15. eternalists - 4
16. big del from da natti - 2
17. touch you - 4
18. good mourning - 4.5
19. for woman - 5+

This album had some of the best hip hop tracks of the year (the blast , memories live, for woman) but it also had some weak tracks (soul rebels feat. de la) But overall a solid album from kweli, 4 mics. If he had left a few tracks out it might have been a classic. For Woman was one of the deepest hip hop tracks of the year.

my cd doesn't look like that. But good review anyway. Please review the final rating out of 10. That is the universal rating system that bigjake announced. I like grading out of 5 better then 10 but rules are rules.

I done changed my mind, i think it's 4.5 mics, or since rules are rules it's a 9 out of 10. and i didn't post that pic, i think that was bigjake.

and about the rating systems i don't really care how you rate it, outta 5 or outta 10 the only thing i really have a problem with is the people who just post monolouges without a song-by-song review, i came up with the idea for this forum becuase i wanted people to express their feeling about and entire album and for people who don't own that album to see what good songs are on it and just over all how good the cd is so they know what they're buying without having to wait a couple hours downloading tracks off napster or somthing or without taking a gamble at the record store, i'm going to make a topic about this

None of yall motherfuckers really knows that Reflectional Eternal is the name o da GROUP, and the ALBUM name is Train Of Thought.

If you still doubt about this album, quit that. Not buying Train of Thought this year is like not buying The Score in 1996 or Illmatic in 1994. It's some melodic, multi-instrumental, symphonical shit. And Talib Kweli is never soft, always battling on the mic, with a nice furious skill of dropping a shitload of words in one line. This is some perfect hip hop, and most of today's MCs need to learn from these two young men.

"Train of Thought" was supposed to be the official title of the album (with the first promo flyers we were gettin' here in NY) but it didn't really work out 'cause most people knew Reflection Eternal better. So THAT became the album: Talib Kweli & Hi Tek - "Reflection Eternal (Train Of Thought)". Now, the real matter is, this is indeed one of the most slept on albums to ever drop. It's a CLASSIC joint, fo'real, a perfect release, groundbreaking, innovative, with sick ass bangin' beats and the lyrical expertise of Talib Kweli. Plus it has just the right amount of guests appearances and the necessary mixture of fast and slow paced tracks. A true gem. Should have been at least GOLD (but really deserved to blow like "The Score" in 1996). Hi Tek will be huge though (his solo mission is SERIOUS) and I'll think they'll do it again eventually... One of my favorite rap album of all time...

I think yall are hypin' this one up a little to much. Don't get me wrong, it's a great album, but I wouldn't call it a classic. 4-4.5 mics

It's definatly worth every penny, the beats & lyrics match perfectly, thats why I would label it a classic. It's all there, & if you really love conscious hip-hop then you'll love this joint & it will get plenty of heavy rotation.

nice review... album deserves a 9.5 because one or two songs are skippable and good mourning deserves a 10.

When I first heard this album, I thought Hitek would be the next Dre or Quik. That didn't happen but still this album is a complete album, a masterpiece. This is what you get when a talented MC and producer who have a talent and a common vision. For women is on some innovative next level type shit and it is moving. The whole album is moving and quite personal.

4.5 mics
