Tha Dogg Pound-2002
(http://image.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov200/dre800/e860/e86035bg97o.jpg)
This Is Out Of 5
1.Intro-Cool intro, kinda corny though but I like the computer voice, and Tha Pound'z vocals are nice here.Old school type beat,i dunno who produced it,not really fitting, they should have done a dogg food type intro but oh well-3
2.Roll Wit Us-This  beat(Cold 187 UM aka Big Hutch,Darren Vegas) is melodic, pretty cool, the chorus is good but then when i heard Daz and Kurupt's rapping i was scared the whole album would be half assed leftover verses over
decent beats, thankfully i was proven wrong so this track can be enjoyed for what it is,a decent song,i rather it have better lyrics though and put at another part of the album and have #3 on this album be the jumpoff.-3
3.Just Doggin'-I like aspects of the original version better, but i like the melodies to this one better. On the booklet to this album Dre is credited as a producer but it doesn't have any individual credits for him,but this track has been publicized as Dre produced so i guess Hutch and Darren Vegas messed with the dre production here,so it's like dre laid the beat and hutch and vegas tweaked it.Daz,Kurupt,Nate all come tight, not lyrically though. They're tight just based on flow, voice, delivery, and style but not lyrics.Hutch yelling is kinda pointless, but this beat isn't tight enough to make it a perfect track because except the chorus there's almost no melody here.-4
4.Smoke-Stellar,this is the 2nd best track on the album.I think this is all freestyle from Snoop,Kurupt and Tha Relativez. I wish someone like Tray Deee,Soopafly,Bad Azz etc. would be on this instead of  Tha Relativez but The Relativez stuff grows on you it's actually above average. But Kurupt and Snoop rip it and Snoop does cool talkin and chorus and the beat(Hutch,Vegas) is great, laid back, trips you out, would be perfect to smoke too, hypnotic in ways.Dope, but some other dogg pound family members should have been on this instead of tha relativez and you think that as listening to their verses.-4.9
5.Gangsta Rap-Fred Wreck does a beat that's better than his stuff on Tha Streetz Iz A Mutha but not as tight as hisn stuff on space boogie. Still dope beat, bouncy, funky,Nice melodies.Crooked I does a tight Intro and a DOPE DOPE verse. Kurupt does a good chorus,Daz and Kurupt's verses are also very dope.Daz shines least but he's still good. Kurupt near rips it but he's more than sufficient.Exceptional but Daz and Kurupt didn't quite rip it so it's not perfect.-4.9
6.10 Til Midnite-The chorus isn't all that great but it's cool,SKG's verse is cool.Kurupt laid back and stylishly rips this track on his verses, lesser though on his 2nd verse which is from "D.P.G." from Dillinger & Young Gotti but he changes the verse midway and gets it better than that version.Kurupt is consistently good on this whole album, making it his most consistently good album since Dogg Food,he's the star of this album in my opinion. He never comes whacker than "okay" and he usually rips the tracks which can't be said about any of his albums besides "Dogg Food" even tho "Tha Streetz Iz Classic" he only rips a few tracks. The beat on this song is cool as well but doesn't really shine.Very good tho,no real flaws.-4.5
7.Living Tha Gangsta Life
This is the original version of  "We Livin Gangsta Like" from Dillinger & Young Gotti.
It's like Daz didn't finish producing it when he left the row and added to the production on D&YG,because this beat is just the drum and bassline from that song.Big C Style disses Snoop in the beginning after a recitation of a snoop interview saying suge had pac killed.I think Daz may still unwillingly have a relationship with Death Row because on "Roll Wit Us" Daz says "Ruff Ryder Niggaz roll wit us.." and RR wasn't aroun when Tha Pound was on Tha Row,and Daz is saying "gangsta lie" while kurupt says "gangsta life" on the chorus so it's like DR obligated Daz to come back and tweak some stuff, there are a few other suspicious things about this album like how did they get a hold of  Fred Wreck track? He wasn't fuckin wit tha pound when they were on tha row,and the "change the game (remix)" done recently is on this album as well. My guess is Tha Row got all this accomplished through legal shit. But the song is cool because it focuses on the rapping(which is over-all good) and is an interesting comparison to the D&YG version so-3.5
8.Don't Stop
The beat(Daz) is original styled(somewhat simple with some low-key melodies and keys),sets a dark mood which is appropriate since all 3(Tha Pound and 2pac) spit malicious dope rhymes.Daz does his best lyrical appearance on this track,2pac comes and rips it and disses Bad Boy again and strangely enough Daz does bacground vocals while Pac does this so it makes you think Daz could have been dissing too or maybe Daz was just sayin the rhyme with pac? hmmm.Kurupt also comes and rips it maliciously like Daz and Pac but not dissing anyone in particular.Very good song,no flaws,it just doesn't really have enough hype evoke any emotion but stellar still.Lacks something in the feel of the song.-4.9

9.Change The Game[Remix]
This appeared on some other shit, and i already burnt it on a mix so i got mad about tha but oh well the song is dope.Jay-Z,Beans,Daz,Kurupt all come great but Memph Bleek fuckin sucks. The beat is the same style as the beat(DJ Clue) "watch me" off of some jay z shit.So the beat is tight. Daz has the best energy he's ahd on the whole album.and everyone else except Memph Bleek comes tight, but there is some senseless profanity so-4.5
10.Crip Wit Us
This is the original version of "Dipp w/me" from D&YG,a little less tight then that one, some different melodies but same instrumentation and drum and bass is the same, and Daz finally reveals to us which crip gang he's in (Warren G,Snoop,Goldie Loc, are all Rollin 20 crips,Kurupt is Rollin 60, I think Tray Deee is Eastside Insane Crip Gang,I think WC is Rollin 40,I think Nate is Insane Crip Gang),anyway Daz is Eastside Insane Crip Gang with Tray Deee and possibly Nate.Kurupt is above average but doesn't rip this. No RBX or female singers in this one, another reason it's not quite as tight as the DY&G version, and like Living Tha Gangsta Life it feels incomplete but interesting and good.-3.5
11.What Cha About
Funky light-hearted beat(Vegas,Hutch) ,cool funky chorus, kinda corny but not really taking away from the song.Kurupt solo, and he uses it well unlike his DY&G solo,Kurupt pretty much rips this in 2 verses,it leaves you craving another verse but the other verse isn't neccesary, but the chorus is kinda corny and although the beat is good it's not great,so not perfect to match Kurupt's great rapping.-4.5
12.Your GyrlFriend 2
Same exact one as on Daz's RAW. Nice funky tight beat(Daz),All rap well(Daz,Soopafly,Mac Shawn),Mac shawn has alot of energy.Daz is more than sufficient, and Soopafly has some good funny lyrics, still the melodies aren't that great but at least they're existent, and the ho subject is tired and can be sickening .but the songs good.-4.4
13.Feels Good
Same exact one on Daz's R.A.W.
Funky tight beat,Daz and Kurupt rapping well about this bomb ass Girl, and  Latoya "Toi" Williams soulfully singing throughout the song and the chorus. Not much else to say besides Kurupt could have done alot better but he's good here.-4.5
14.Way Too Often
I noticed Soopafly likes to experiment with his song styles,he tries original funky shit like this song,"Poplockin","Fuckin U Right","Loosen Control","Hate On Me", are all weird type funk stuff. The most orthodox stuff i've heard from him in recent times is the shit he does with Daz and "Rimz & Tirez". Unfortunatel i really don't like any of those styles much at all.Way Too Often is cool because there's some original style stuff, and the lyrics and rhyme patterns are very good. Soopafly actually surprisingly comes with some multi-sylabbic rhymes and it's hard to describe how him and Kurupt go about rappin this but it's nice and original,it grows on you,i didn't like it much at first, but it's really good. But it's not perfect because the feel isn't really hyped, the flow is in a precedent which is a consistent but constricting style thankfuly it's only on this track.and the melodies aren't very flowing if yaknawhumsayn. still tight-4.7
15.It'z All About That Money
Another exact one from R.A.W. this is one of the overlooked tracks on that album,it has a few funky dark melodies, pretty bangin beat(Daz),Daz' lyrics aren't that good context wise but he goes into some very vivid interesting ear catching hustler type hood descriptions, really sets some dark ghetto scenes, very cool dark feel, the production is crispy clean yet the feel is very grimy and gutter ya know? Real n ruff music,ya know.-4.7
16.Every Single Day
As #15 was ending the first time i listened to this album i hoped so bad that they would finish this album off tight and grand finale like. And they did!!! Whooooo this shit is almost so dope it's indescribable, like i said dre is credited as a producer in the booklet but not on any individual track well considering the quality of this production and song and the Gz & Hustlaz lyrics that Snoop uses(Yep this shit is that old) i think this is a doggystyle leftover produced by Dre and Daz,it would have been hard to fit this track on doggystyle since the beat is emotionally evocative(like Warren G's "this dj" even tho the subject matter isn't emotional the feel of the production makes it seem so) but the guitars have a feel very similar to the track doggystyle by Snoop and George Clinton produced by Dre and possibly Daz...Daz does backup vocals here as Snoop and Kurupt rip the mic DOGGYSTYLE they rip this shit, and i think it's Nanci Fletcher singing(she did all the female singing on doggystyle and some other west coast stuff)and she does a good job although i heard that Nate originally was on it (damn shame he's not on this version ]=() but still the beat is so dope because there's bass guitar original rhythm and the main guitar is constantly changing melodies, and yet it still has a familiar g-funk classic feel,so even tho it lacks Nate, this is perfect,i could die while listening to this track and be happy, one of my favorite dogg pound cuts or songs period,in my opinion one of the best i've ever heard, classic "we do this like every single day"-5

Over-all a very good album in my opinion based on the best moments, out of all Kurupt's albums, this and Dogg Food and this are his most consistent lyrical offerings.Daz is more than sufficient,it has a great guest roster,it's just what us west coast g-funk fans need, some stuff from the good old DR dpg days with a familiar feel with some fresh good lyrics, while it has a considerable amount of some considerable flaws over-all this is a borderline great album, must have for any g-funk,or dogg pound fan, imagine if all the artists could have finalized all tis stuff? I'm disappointed in sme of hutch and vegas' production,it's good but not exceptional at all except for few moments,i never thought i'd be saying production as a flaw in a fuckin DOGG POUND album, but still i gave no track less than a 3! i suggest this album for fans of  g-funk,daz,kurupt.Much better than i expected but could have been alot better.-3.7/5

Yo Tanjint...Have you heard the original version of "Every Single Day"? Well here are the differences...

1.The beat is better, it's more simplistic, the Death Row version had additional Guitars added on which made the beat not fit the lyrics as well, and made the lyrics harder to hear, if I'm not mistakin, Cold187Um added the extra guitars to the "2002" version...If you heard the OG version, it's clearly a Daz beat, the addition of the extra guiters made it sound like a badly mixed Dre beat, but this is a Daz beat...

2.On the Original Version, Kurupts last verse is completey different, and is about 96249724972 times better than the verse replaced on the "2002" version...

3.The Original Version had Nate Dogg instead of jewel at the end which made it a lot better...

To sum it up, what I'm saying is the Original Version was a truely classic track, the "2002" version is still classic, but I can tell you that the OG Version is as classic as it gets...

Truely one of my favorite songs...
