the album was a classic to me because it was Pac's real last words, his last album that came out exactly as he wanted, not some studio cut-off make-a-quick-buck put-more-R&B hooks-in watered down nonsense (thanks afeni).
the emotion on that record alone is what makes it so good, plus the production was just on another level. just 12 tracks but all of them were perfect or damn close.
-
I could listen to the whole album a thousand times over, specially Krazy.. It's one of my favorite Pac songs. It has a kill beat and some of Pac's best lyrics ever.
-
The non crediting of artist on that album is a disgrace
Not Pac's fault though
-
i love this album, mine is a lil messed up so i really havn't been able to listen to it
heres my review of it, since no one seems to be reviewing the entire album
(http://images.allmusic.com/00/amg/cov200/drc800/c853/c85312l53xq.jpg)
1. bomb first- this track is a 4 and a 2 at the same time, the beat is crazy and pac spits some mad venom but the outlaws fuck it up and it's not that enjoyable unless you fast forward through their parts-4
2. Hail Mary- classic 2pac right here the beat is mad tight and pac turns this laid back creepy beat into something into greater than the potential it had (i know that don't make scence but i can't figure another way to say what i wanna say) but agian the outlaws mess up the flow of the song- 4.75
3. toss it up- this song is cool for the first half of it when he's sticking to the theme of the song....but then he delves into a dre diss out of no where, the beat is kinda annoying but pac comes nice on it i wanna give it a 4 but somthing inside me is urged to give it a -3.75
4. To live and Die in L.A-i don't give a fuck what anyone says this song is classic one of the best songs i have ever heard, he just gives it up for this tight city the beat is amazing and pac raps smooothe as fuck on here- 5!
5. blashphomy-this song is tight the beat is kinda boring and the jamaican dude is annoying but pac comes off nice on this track- 4
6. Life of an Outlaw- this song is ok nothing really to get happy about- 3
7. just like daddy- this track is cool i'm feeling it, it's not quite 2pac's sesitive side but it's similar to his early stuff which i think the public should see more of becuase this is the pac i love -4.5
8. Krazy- ok this song is proabably one, if not my favorite pac song this song features bad azz is one of those mad deep hip hop songs straight up a classic classic classic song- 5!
9. white manz world- this is another song that shows is semi pac's sensitive side, this song is straight smooth and clean-4
10. me and my girlfriend- this song makes me laugh, plus it's clever meteforing his gun to a girfriend, i dunno i just bust up laughin' though when that chick starts yellin in it "yeah nigga what, i kill all you mutha fuckaz yeah yeah nigga what!" ha ha ha ha- 4.5
11. hold ya head- 4
12. against all odds- this track is ok nothin really to end on -3
overall it's a 9 outta 10 the 2 classic songs on here make up for the couple lackluster tracks it's not really a classic album but it's definatly an AMAZING one

This is arguably one of the best albums ever. The shit Pac spits is awesome. Plus the production couldn't be much better. Even the Outlawz came correct on certain tracks like "Just Like Daddy" and "Hail Mary". I wish this album was longer but I guess it is perfect the way it is.
I would give it 9.5 out of 10. Its even better than All Eyez on Me in my opinion.
-
yeah the production is top notch i my opinion also , but that's what the media thrashed it for saying "shotty generick production" which couldn't be farther from the truth
-
I think every1 has been a bit harsh on the Outlawz
On Hail Mary "They got an APB on my thug family"
Is a tight line
-
ITZ KINDA WIERD AINT IT.....THE PRODUCERZ
ON HERE R ALMOST NOT KNOWN....BUT DA PRODUCTION CAME OUT GREAT.....
PROBABLY THE MIDIA TRASHED IT FOR THE PRODUCTION ONLY CAUZE DA PRODUCERZ WERE UNKNOWN.....
OH...BY THE WAY...DERRYL BIG D HARPER.... AND QD3...ALSO PRODUCED SOME OF "STILL I RISE".
-
Johnny J is not unknown homie...
-
Johnny J has nothing to do with the production of the 7 Day Theory.
-
Oh, shit are you sure? I lost the case of it...Then who produced the shit...I want names...LOL
-
Here is the list of producers.
1. Bomb First - Big D
2. Hail Mary - Hurt-M-Badd
3. Toss it Up - Demitrius Ship & Reggie Moore
4. To Live and Die in LA - QDIII

-
CLASSIC. PERIOD! 5/5! 10/10! A+!
One Of The Best Albums Ever! Def In My Top 3. This Album Captured Pac's Emotions Completely. I Give 5/5 For These Songs:

-
Dis album is a fuccin classic, cuz."Bomb First","Hold Ya Head"&"To Live And Die In L.A." is da best songs, espacilly,"To Live And Die in L.A."
-
IM LATELY KINDA CONFUSED WIT DIS SHIT.....I WAZNT USED TO AGREE DAT ALL EYEZ AND MAKAVELI WAZ ON DA SAME LEVEL...AND SOME PIPZ SAY DAY MAKAVELI WAZ EVEN BETTER....LATELY...I BUMP DEM BOTH EQUALLY....ALTHOUGH I ALWAZ BUMPED ALL EYEZ MO....CAUZE I USED TO THINK DAT IT WAZ JUS ALIL BETTER...NOW I AINT SURE.
WHO ELSE THINKZ MAKAVELI IZ BETTER THAN ALL EYEZ????.
-
I think Makaveli is better. All Eyez On Me is classic, but Makaveli has NO filler on it. All Eyez On Me, like ALL double cds, has filler, though not much. Plus, Pac just put his HEART in Makaveli......I think its his best work.
-
fuck i can never decide which one is better...All Eyez On Me i can listen to all the songs except for "Whatz Ya Phone #"...the rest of the songs are 4/5 or higher...The 7 Day Theory is just as dope...i consider them both equal but i listen to All Eyez On Me more cause the production is top notch...each album gives you something different...i'll never decide!
-
I guess you could break it down like this:
Lyrics: The 7 Day Theory
Production: AEOM [this has one of the best quality sound recordings ever for an album]
Concept: close, but Ill go with The 7 Day Theory
Impact/Influence: AEOM
Diversity: AEOM
Solidity: The 7 Day Theory
Sales: AEOM, obviously
Tough to call, but there is just something about The 7 Day Theory that I REALLY, REALLY like, though I play both album about equally.
-
if i was doing this for all of pac's album's i'd have to say....
Lyrics: Me Againsta the World
Production: AEOM
Concept: The 7 Day Theory
Impact/Influence: tie between me against the world and all eyez on me
Diversity: Strickly 4 my niggaz and All eyez on me
Solidity: Me Against the world and all eyez on me
Sales: all eyez on me
