this is a great album. Clef packs everything into this solo effort. Most importantly, he lets people know whats going on with his home country, Haiti, which is still experiencing hard times. Overall, I'd give it 4.5 mics. Do yourself a favor and stay away from "the ecleftic" which is nothing but pop except for standouts such as "diallo", "wish you were here" and "runaway." I don't think the carnival stands up to "the score" by the fugees, but I do think it surpasses Laruyn Hill's solo effort, "miseducation." This album has a very lively feeling, as suggested in the title of the album. Hopefully I don't have to mention how this compares to Pras's solo album...

i always thought this CD was DOPE... but a lot of my hommies hated on it

Yea, lots of peeps thought this album was a little on the pop side, but i thought the album had a solid overall sound.

yeah, this is one of those discs, you either love it or you hate it.
