Lets face it, Doggystyle is and should always be his best record. But I think Neptunes will bring Snoop back from that lazy sound hes been doing since 96. Ok he drops some heaters every few tracks, but Neptunes are the hottest producers in the game and you cant tell me "Beautiful" wasnt Snoops best track for years.
I was listening to some old Kelis, Neptunes have so much diversity its unreal. They will bring the hunger back to Snoop.

Personally, I don't think it's the beats that make Snoop step it up,it's only wether he wants to put effort in his show. I don't think Beautiful is that great really...though I love 'It Blows my mind'
His 2nd best would still be 'Tha Last Meal' IMO and I doubt he'll beat it, though I certainly hope so.

Yup...the Neptunes do have some tight beats, but they also got straight up pop beats. So I guess it all depends on what beats Snoop will pick. (And of course his lyrics have to be good too...)

I respect your opinion, but really, calling "Beautiful" and "From The Chuuuch To The Palace" classics seriously makes me chuckle. Especially since you emphasized the world 'classic'. "California Love" is a classic, "What Would You Do" is a classic...the 2 Snoop tracs don't even come close. Not at all.
But anyways...I have to admit that "FTCTTP", "Beautiful", and "Blows My Mind" were all dope, but a whole album like that? I have my doubts. We'll have to wait and see though.

they'll do well...i like the fact that snoops bridging the gap to get west coast artist radio play on the east as well as reconition for east coast producers working with og gangsta rap artist...this can escalate to many new business ventures with both coast if everybody stop haten and start congradulatin..."Give props where props due" let's see who be hatin when snoop go multi plat....as for me i don't like everything snoop does but in this case i think he made a real stratigic move for the west.....let's see how it plays out....

Nice as the fact that he'll have beats by persons who produced for him throughout his career may sound, we do know what's likely that'll mean...1 beat per producer,except for the Neptunes. That doesn't work well for the sound of his album.

The Neptunes are capable of making good music, if they take their time. I don't like the beats where they just program 3 sounds to an mpc and smack it around for 3 minutes. At least this Snoop album will be consistent tho. We just have to wait and see if it's boo boo or not yet.

Honestly, at this point, I could give a fuck what Snoop does, because the quality of the music is not worth me listening to. I like Doggystyle, Doggfather, Top Dogg, and the Last Meal had a couple of bangers. That's it from his solo career. He just doesn't give a fuck about the music anymore, its just his presence and you're supposed to be happy he's in the song. He thinks hes such a fucking don that he can't make music like he used to. Anyways, enough of him. IMO, the Neptunes have produced good songs in the past, and yes I even like the shit they did with Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. Does that make me "pop"? Who gives a fuck, I like the music, and anyone who won't give it a listen just because its "pop" isn't a true music fan. One of my most quoted lines now is from Mack 10 on "Bang On" "You ain't tried it, don't knock it." It rings true all the time. But the Neptunes are bascially done, the beats they dropped for THEIR last album (NERD), (you're supposed to save the best beats for yourself) sucked ass, and the album didn't sell shit. I honestly think at this point that they can't produce an entire album like they did for Clipse. So, my prediction is that this album will be shit, and I might not even check it.
