Title: I'm surprised nobody's posted this, but...
Post by: Trauma-san on September 04, 2004, 11:01:37 PM
Lets all send our best wishes and prayers to President Bill Clinton, who will be undergoing major heart bypass surgery sometime in the next few days.  He was admitted to a hospital in New York friday after complaining of having chest pains, and was informed that he had severely clogged arteries.  He's made the decision to have multiple bypass surgery, which has to be a horrible thing to face up to.  On the bright side, he's a healthy man, he's currently in the best shape of his life, he's young, and he's intelligent enough to hopefully have a positive outlook on this chapter of his life.  After the surgery, he'll likely lead a longer more productive lifestyle than he did before it, so I hope he sees it as an opportunity and not a castastrophe.

The chances of the President dying from it are slim (1 percent or so), but lets pray for a speedy recovery and wish him a wonderful future with a healthy, clean heart.

Oh, and true to form, he told Larry King friday:

"Let me just say this, Republicans aren't the only people who want four more years here!"

dude, i don't really dig your sarcasm...

Another thing.. I don't really care for the fate of former presidents. I only care about functioning presidents, because they directy affect the nation. It doest matter what a former president does in my opinion.

All politics aside, I wish him the best of luck during his surgery and throughout recovery. It's really strange because he is in really good shape from what I've seen. Alot of aging guys are having these problems with their arteries when they are in very good shape too. Really strange.

There's no sarcasm in my post, I'm just wishing the man best wishes in his surgery.

yeah.. my uncle is 60, and he had a heart attack and had to have a triple bypass, and to say the least he looks in great shape, I mean people think his in his late 40's when they see him. But I think a lot has to do with diet. My uncle ate a lot of unhealthy food in his time, and Bill Clinton is a known fast food junkie.

Good thing they are having surgery on Bill before he had an actual heart attack. Good luck Bill, without a doubt a personal hero of mines. And I feel him when he says he wants 4 more years... lol.

YEA I WISH HIM ALL THE BEST ALSO. MY DAD HAD A TRIPLE BY PASS SURGERY AT 47. IT WAS A PRETTY KRAYZIE THING TO DEAL WITH. BUT IT REALLY DOES OPEN UP A NEW CHAPTER IN YOUR LIFE. MY DAD WENT FROM A MONEY HUNGRY HUSTLA DAT NEVER GAVE A FUCK ABOUT A DAMM THING TO A COOL N CALM GUY TO HANG AROUND WITH.

He had heart surgery today, they did a quadruple bypass, and it was considered a success.  They stopped his heart for a moment while they put him on a heart & lung machine, so I guess he can say he's come back from the dead now (that's what I'd say! ... hell, that's what I do say, my heart stopped as well as a child).

Anyways, successful surgery, he's now resting comfortably in the hospital, and they say his chances for recovery are excellent.

Someone's dead when his brains don't work anymore :P

Anyway, I'm glad the surgery was a success :)

Man, i sent him a get well email, and didn't mention I was a republican.  Then, I went on his webpage, and all the good well wishes had shit like

"You're the best president we've ever had..."

"We need smart presidents like you in office again"

blah blah blah.

Didn't see 1 republican message posted, and every message was from someone who was obviously politically motivated.  Sick, people can't seperate politics from compassion even when the leader of our country is a week from death.

why do you find the need to post about how you did something nice while other people had a hidden agenda behind it.  Shouldnt the fact you did a nice thing be statisfaction in itself.  Why go around an tell everyon how much better you are than those other people.

^ Tom, you can judge me to not be nice on your own, correct?  So if my posting that makes you think I'm an ass, that's cool.  I am what I am.

I was just saying something I noticed.  I don't have the need to prove I'm nice to you or anyone else, you can judge me however you want.  Peace~

It is sad that people can't put politics aside for something serious like his health.

There's nothing wrong with that.  The point I was making was: EVERYBODY that posted that on his board, said that.  I.E., they were all democrats.  I was the only republican (at least as far as I could tell) that sent him a get well wish.  Since nobody republican sent him a letter, and all of the democrats that sent him a letter mentioned political things, it just kind of makes me wonder.  I don't really have any opinions on it, just something interesting I noticed.
