Title: Assault weapons are LEGAL on monday

I dont know what the laws are in other countries, but in america you couldnt legally buy an automatic rifle.(Ak's and such)

Well i guess bush has decided to let the ban expire (monday is when it expires), and Automatics will be legal. I think if they let the ban expire crime will go up, not to mention the casualties from the crimes. Wouldnt want to be a cop during these times.

So this leads me to a question.

Do you think automatics should be banned?

I think they should. There is no reason to own one. Last thing i want is a bunch of criminals with 100 round automatic AK-47s. Bush is a moron if he lets the ban expire.

it's not like the "law" was stopping criminals from using them before....and now that they're legal i don't see normal people going " WOOOO HOOOO Bank robbery and drive bys.....HERE WE COME!"

The same people that say we need a ban on Automatic weapons, say we need to lift all the laws governing drugs.

Yeah, but heres the thing.

If i was old enough id buy myself an automatic gun, and im not gonna go commit a crime anytime soon.

But this will make it more dangerous for cops....

But then again i agree, people who commit crimes already had acess to these weapons....but not all.

Bush isnt gunna pressure Congress to renew the ban, but its gunna happen anyways.

I cant imagine someone carrying a MA-75 Assault Rifle/Gernade Launcher.
