Title: Unreleased Ruthless Projects
Post by: That_Cracka_J on September 25, 2002, 05:07:00 PM
How many songs do you think Ruthless actually has unreleased?  I know they don't have as many as Death Row, but then again after Eazy died, everybody left and took their albums to other labels.  I wonder if any old Ren, Kokane, Dresta, Knocc Out, etc. is left or if anyone would even know where that stuff is.

Yeah they are (Ruthless) rumored to have at least 100 tracks on Eazy, but considering that they re-use alot of Eazy's vocal's on his newest shitt kinda get's me to think that alot of the rumor's may be just that.....Rumors :'(

50 unreleased tracks of who?  From listening to the Godfather of Gangsta Rap EP it doesn't seem like there is anything left of Eazy.

What the phukk would Ruthless be holding out for???

if they had they would release some more songs.. and not re-use old lyrics... but maybe old producers that doesnt have contact with ruthless anymore have some songs...

Something like 70 tracks with work done by Julio G and guest spots by Paperpoy, Gunz N Rozez, Bootsy Colins, GBM (Gangsta Bitch Mentality). But it's hard to say anymore? Ruthless keeps their mouth shut about a lot of shiit, so who knows? I know listening to the Godfather of Gangsta Rap EP on the Impact of a Legend DVD makes me think their isn't shiit left anymore. Just too many recycled verses and if you down with underground you would know that Eazy's verse on track 6. No More Tears was originally on Nytowls album. I also heard Julio G might have some masters of some unreleased Eazy tracks recorded From Julio's home, but rumors can be just rumors. I guess the only way to confirm this is to contact Julio G directly?

Even though Knocc Out wasn't on Ruthless I hope that they release an album of just solo knocc out tracks no guest appearences no singers no intros/outros/skits/interludes.  Just straight fire.  i'd pay 100$ for a 6 track Knocc Out album.

Yo Dr. Lincolin -

Yeah I read something like that too, but it was before they released Godfather.  Think you can find the article again?

I like the think the rumors are true about so many Eazy tracks existing, but it DOES make me doubt it when they re-used so many of his vocals on the newest EP.  But then again, there are still 100's of unreleased 2Pac songs, but yet there were several remixes of songs on "Until the end of time" like, Fuck Friends, Give it to 'em, Niggaz nature, Until the end of time, and re-used vocals on When I get free....

I heard something a couple of months ago that Julio G DID have some unreleased Eazy songs, but he had no plans whatsoever of releasing them--that's ashame if it's true.  Ya gotta think though that maybe Eazy was the only one who knew where certain tracks were, and like Exzit said, maybe some of the producers still have tracks (Yella, Dr. Jam, Rhythm D, other lesser knowns as well).  I wonder who produced the song with Bootsy Collins or the one with Guns N Roses.  I heard Eazy say in an interview that he worked with Scarface.  You know there's more songs that he appears in with Ruthless artists.

Why the phukk would Julio G not wanna release that shiit?  Man, that's phukkin bullshit.  He might as well use the masters as phukkin coasters then.

Im pretty certain he said, "Im gonna do something with Scareface on there", I was listening to it just like an hour ago. As for Julio G holding onto the masters, I guess its symbolic of respect for Eazy, they were tight friends and all...

You're right Toby, I just listened to it and he talks about it like he PLANS on doing a song with Scarface.  I also heard Julio G won't release them out of respect, but Eazy recorded the tracks for the fans, so they should be released.

Yeah, Eazy didn't record that shit to be locked up.  How would it be respect for Eazy to keep them?  Out of respect for Eazy and his fanz release that shiit.

Alright, so I got some news. Ask Ruthless Records about this. We're sitting on 4 albums of 2Pac rapping with Eazy E. Three with Above The Law. Over 620 Eazy E songs and multiple songs from Ruthless Records artist that remain unreleased such as Bone Thugz N Harmony, MC Ren, Dirty Redd, NWA, The D.O.C., even a Eazy E freestyle for Death Row Records at the Above The Rim Party, and multiple others. Eazy E's a real G for showing up at the party despite him beefing with Death Row Records. Stay tuned with Tomica Wright on the latest coming from Ruthless. The label is about to come back in a big way.

Penkthouse Pununktn (Penthouse Family E.P.) first track with DJ Quik and Penthouse Playaz Clique - the second with Penthouse Playaz Clique with K-Dee from 2nd II None - from Future Shock Records exist, Third track is a previously used but unheard interlude from Dr. Dre. Track four was suppose to be Eazy E and Dr. Dre but was never made. You could count this as sort of an off shoot of Ruthless Records since Futureshock was D.O.C.'s and Dr. Dre's label with Thomas G. Clines.

Aftershock The Wind (D.O.C. E.P. Funky Enough II for Ruthless Records/Aftershock Records) features vocals from D.O.C. and Silk and Chris The Glove on an interlude outro with production from Chris The Glove Taylor, DJ Choc bka DJ Khalil as he was known or as the artist known as Chocolate), Paradise (Group of Thomas G. Clines and another staff producer), Dr. Dre, D.O.C., Skelter (Dr. Dre, Chris The Glove, and Erotic D), and track 15 the outro being done by producer Futureshock known as D.O.C. pressing buttons to make the outro but he credits Suge Knight.

Eazy E has a version of Dogg Pound Killa with him on the hook (BG Knocc Out saying Sly Now A Puff Pound Spliff then it cuts to Eazy E saying Dogg Pound (then the sound) Killa and so on and so forth with the chorus). Second verse being (Dre'sta and Kevin The Drunk Borders doing a Dr. Dre Impression), third verse Arabian Prince, then outro by Dre'sta.

Dre'sta on third verse with outro by Eazy E starting out with Salute Me Solo in another take of the unreleased version of Dogg Pound Killa (Retail) by. Dre'sta and BG Knocc Out

From Ruthless To Death Row - an actual version of this exist from 1988 with D.O.C.'s vocals before the car crash. (The outro should be censored for what we're hearing.)

So, we didn't scam anyone but get this - I gave Tomica Wright - this year over 520 unreleased tracks from Ruthless Records (1987 - 1995) including D.O.C. and N.W.A. and over 150 unheard Eazy E tracks. Look out for more news from Ruthless Records coming soon.
