Look at what Timbaland gave Snoop (Set it off was a banging bit, but not a hit), look at what Quik gave Snoop (quiks shit on top dogg was nice but below quiks standards), look at the shit Dre did for Snoop (again, Lay low was nice, Henn and Bud was....well, that coulda been guaranteed hit without kokane on there). POINT IS, noone producer has ever gave SNoop the beats/choruses that are instant hits (shit like Dre gave Mary J Blige for Family Affair).........Neptunes are the only producers who hae stepped up to the plate and said, here SNoop, a guaranteed hit man (Beautiful, Drop it, etc), so really, well it isnt my favourite combination, i dont blame Snoop for rolling with them. Of course, i am actualy surprised Snoop signed with them considering he usually cant tell a hit from a hole in the ground...............
Andeveryone said the Neptunes has fallen off and that they couldnt make hits anymore, but Snoop is gonna sell more copies of this cd then any other of his except doggystyle................however, the sad thing is it wont be the "true" fans buying the album.............but still, he knows dre dont wanna work with him, and i dont blame him for wanting to prove to himself he can make hits with out Dre. Well, he's got 3 smash songs on the cd, he's got what he wants. Yes, id rather him bring a westcoast album, but this is still a nice album, quite abit above PTCTBTB (although The One and Only cant be touched).......not bad from Snoop,
and yes, this album does have some wack songs, and know, it is nowhere near doggystyle and does not resemble anything close to it, but it will do what snoop wants it to do- make him a top seller again. And songs like the Bidness bring the true SNoop, so its all good (well, not all good)
Listen to how pathetic Snoop was a couple years back, on shit like that song with LL Cool J, or even some songs on the Eastidaz joints, his flow was lazy and boring as hell..........i think he has stepped it up, even if te lyrics are garbage. But the N

Well.. I guess you could say that. Timbaland's past his prime, though, so he ain't giving nobody hits. Quik never did produce hits. Dre's sick of working with Snoop or vice versa.
I don't mind him working with the Neptunes, he should do whatever he wants. I don't understand, though, why he can't have Neptunes tracks, and still have Quik tracks, Fredwreck tracks or whoever sounds good.
He should of used more DJ Premier tracks like on the last few albums, but then everybody' would say the same thing about him selling out.

I didnt like "Drop It Like Its Hot" when it first came out but it grew on me big time. My shit is "Can You Control Yo Hoe" Basically.. Soopafly spit some real shit. It almost sounds like a slam towards Snoop (and his ex,) but of course its not cuz Snoops on it. Just real spit. Im not as hard on this album as most are. I've been bumpin it since it got ripped, trying to give it an honest spin. The Neptunes did a decent job and this album will no doubt appeal to the pop crowd. The MAIN thing I like about this album is you can tell that it was recorded with top notch equipment and engineers. The production and mixing came out super clean. (whether you like the album or not.. its clean) Every sound has a "snap" too it. I honestly hope this album does well for Snoop. Maybe it will silence all the haters. (I know Grundy-Locs gonna hate me for sayin that. =)

Your comparison with Dre-beats for singles and Neptune-beats for singles falls flat on account of only counting anything from 1999 onwards.
Then it's wrong because the only Dre-beat for a single you mentioned was 'Lay low', while 'Just Dippin'' and 'Bitch please' came out in the same period.
And then we don't even count the Dre-beats that gave him hits before that. What's more, those beats gave him cult-status whereas these Neptune-beats only fit him more and more into the 'your-average-rapper(or even R&B-singer!)'-category.
Tracks like 'Gin & Juice' will still be remembered in 10 years...I doubt 'Drop it like it's hot' or even 'Beautiful' will be.

First of all this is business its all about units and thats where Dre is different from Neptunes,Neptunes singles don't make an artist sell 5 to 9 millions units Dre does. Everything Neptune does goes gold or platinum thats not what Dre wants hes all about selling units and getting paid wasting his good stuff on Snoop dosen't make any sense he'll help Snoop out with some average stuff which is better most producer top notch stuff and besides I hear Dre's A beats cost like a half a million that way to steep even for Snoop.

Well considering that Snoop wrote half of the Chronic, and contributed a heavy amount to Dres career, I doubt hes gonna charge snoop half a mil for a beat. More like "Hey Snoop, heres a beat, can you drop a couple verses for detox?"

same shiet. and yeah thats the real reason. Snoop was heated that Dre & Xzibit were quick to diss JD (who Snoop is cool with) when "the real enemy is Suge". and they aint worked together sence.
I know Snoop been on 2 Dre beats "Westside Story" and "Losin Yo Mind", but you notice there was another artist who brought Snoop to the track.

Well i heard during the time snoop was recording paid the cost,he asked for some beats from dre and he said he kinda busy.and if u're snoop what will u do,since u can beef with ur homeboy like that,u'll just let it be and look somewhere else.
I think dre need to call on him and be like lets hit d studio and i know snoops gonna answer straigth,he gonna be like"u know what dre?am kinda busy".

i found it pretty strange that snoop gave shoutouts to young buck, banks and even eminem on that new snoop\50 track. i was waiting for him to mention dre but....???? im sure we'll hear snoop on detox (but he better not sing, dre will have none of that)

i dont mind snoop getting beats from the neptunes
i believe the neptunes put some nice beats (super thug, what happend to that boy.. etc)
but his choice of the beats and his raps over them suck IMO
