Master P just talked in an interview before one of his albums dropped that Dre would produce a cut.  Aparently he just liked to talk.

IMO Master P fucked up Lay Low. Weak lyrics, weak effort on the track. P aint never goin back to his Cali style, he ain't hungry no more, he doesn't seem to put any effort into his rhymes.

I remember seeing a review of The Last Meal, it said sumthin like this:

"Lay Low is one of the freshest cuts on the album, and Dre even managed to make Master P sound aight on this. That alone is a very good accomplishment"

LoL

P was at his BEST with the tru albums, the bout it soundtrack and ghetto d...that was his hay day regardless what anyone says....he made great music at that time....and i think he came off on lay low...people here are so against p its not even funny....but if it wasnt for p 90% of the south(signed to a major) wouldnt even be signed to a major...hell if it wasnt for P snoop would still be over at deathrow gettin fucked by suge....

I like Master P, I dont know what people got against him, yeah he aint lyrical like Nas, Rakim, Rass Kass, but to be honest at times they get all to deep and lyrical for me.

Master P was tight on Lay Low...He came tighter than Goldie who nearly fuked up the song with his bitch raps sounding like Kurupt...

::) @ tighter than Goldie.

Whassup pimpin?  It's P and Snoop
With Dre on the beat, this ain't nuttin but loot
They call me Jed Clampett for all the bread I got
but they call me Bill Clinton for all the head I got
I keeps it real-ah, cause I'm all about my scrilla
The ladies love me cause I'm a million dolla hitta
It's, No Limit til I D-I-E
C-P-3, or Richmond, Cali's where I be

Nuthin special, but OK to be a newer P-verse.
He doesn't say nuthin that CM has said 1000 times before.

Yeah his lyrics were maybe not all that, but the way he flowed on the song was tight...

In no way did P come off dope but he did sound better than usual.....Like S.G.V. spoke on, P was tha best in his TRU, Bout It, and Ghetto D dayz....then he just started to fall off......no doubt on Lay Low that was tha best we have seen P (flowwise) in a while!!

I didn't like P's verse on lay low, but his album 99 ways to die is pretty damn good.  There is some tight songs on his Tru albums like I always feel like, and smoking green.  The last don was decent too.  I don't ever listen to him anymore but he definately deserves props for what he has done.
