Drop the facts. The guys who go to college can also tell me what they pay for college and how come they pay that particular amount..

i pay 4gs a semester, 2 semesters... thats in all, but i also get loans, so out of pocket my parents only pay a lil, i go to a pretty good school too

i dont live in the us..but it depends if you go to a public university or a private one (like duke)
anywhere from 4K to more than 30K for tution(sp?)

I paid $750 a quarter, but my last year they raised it to $900 a quarter and its raised even more now. it was one of the best and cheapest CSU's.
college is pretty overrated as far as getting a great education. I learned some good stuff, but I definately have learned a lot more outside the classroom. but america is full of fuckin morons, so I think the more people who go, the better. definately everyone on here should get a college education, but some of you guys are so fuckin dumb I don't think it would help you any.

yeah like everyone said, anywhere from 3k to 40k when you add in room and board...
a lot of colleges offer good financial aid packages though.... depends on the size of their endowment... my school is one of the most expensive in the country around 37k a year, but a lot of kids go there for almost free.

plus theres thousands of scholarships with money just sitting around...you can ask a college for a list of them and then try out for a bunch. i know one guy that just had to send in a two page paper on something and he recieved $3,500 to pay for books and supplies

student loans at least in canada allow you to borrow up to 8 grand per year and then only pay the interest on the loan until your done school.
so like on 8gs the interest per month would be like 30 bucks

i was in amsterdam last week and when i was there i was chatting to some american girls and they said they pay like $800 just to be in their sororiety or whatever the fuck its called. crazy! and when i asked if it was worth it she said yeah because only the cool people are in it. i'm glad we only have up to £1100 a yea wherever we go to university in the uk. They trying to introduce top up fees now (although that won't effect me!) where i think it could be anything from £3000 - £15000 extra but capped at 3k for a few years. its a shame that education costs so much these days when my parents went to uni they didn't have to pay anything and up until a few years ago we ust to get money to goto university with, we've gone full circle in under a decade.

i lived in the ghetto when i was younger yeah i was in a gang but fuck it thats the past i was little and stupid the only reason i was in the gang is cus i lived in the nieghborhood and my family runs it... i havent been to the ghetto in like 3 months lol

Here is a webpage with costs for the school I attend (UCLA)... it's $6,000 for tution/fees, but since you're out-of-state/country, you'd have to pay an additional $16,000. Then you throw on all that other good stuff like food, health insurance, etc. I live on campus, so it's costing me that estimate they have on there for California residents (about 20,000)... but I received a lot of scholarships/grants, so I'm getting a couple G's in federal loans AKA Trauma's tax money... LOL... and I'll just pay that back once I'm done, which is no biggie cuz the payment is like $100 a month, and I get 6 months til after I graduate to start making payments....

There's lot of scholarships/grants/loans (last resort) out there... do some research, I know there are some around for international students... there are corporations that give scholarships to people who study a certain field, then expect you to work for them for a certain amount of time

Yeah, go to a CSU... or Community College and transfer... or if you're slick, you could go to Community College in Cali for 2 years, work for 1 year, then apply to a university in Cali... you wouldn't have to pay the extra out-of-state tuition cuz after being here 3 years, you're considered a resident :)

my first semester i payed a total of 20 bucks second semester zero , third 36 ...would have been 6 if i didn't get that parking ticket, then this upcoming semester i payed 34
but when you put into account i get financial aid i pay nothing because first semester i got 600 dollars, second semester i got 100, third i got 3,000 and this semester i'm getting 2500

First of all, you don't just sign up, there is an application process. The deadlines are different for each school, and it also depends on if you want to start in the fall or the spring. If you wanted to start school in Fall '06, then (for most schools) you'd have to apply around November of this year.
