Title: Rakim & Timbaland?
Post by: Zero4eva on August 26, 2002, 12:53:34 AM
Could this become true? I read an article in XXL about Tim's beat club and he mentioned that he could be "convinced" to do a couple of tracks for Rakim.. Your opinions?

Btw I luv that beat: http://www.trickology.com/soundcheck/msjadegangstas.rm

Wouldn't be surprised he ends up hookin Rakim up on "Oh My God" since Dre and him are buddies.

WHAT THA FUCK! this would be fuckin whack! I don't understand why everyone loves timbaland so much his beats sound like a fuckin mess and then theres his shitty ass beat boxing over the top, and i guarentee ra will not wanna work with timbo, he wants a classic album and no offence but even if u like timbo u gotta admit he ain't neva released a "classic" beat.

Dre's better than Timbo no doubt but one or two Timbo tracks on OMG might not be bad

I can understand the fact that peeps have different tastes in music, but i don't think Ra will use timbo as he wants the album to have a specific sound, and that sound is dre, primo, ayatolla, alchemist and hi-tek. Timbaland on an album with these producers would sound out of place, you have to admit that. And I stand by my comment that timbaland has never made a classic hip hop beat.

I agree with you on how a Timbo beat wouldn't fit in with "Oh My God."

to me timbo's fuckin wack............cant stand half his shit

no offence to any of y'all who feel him but i just dont and i would be dissapointed if dre n ra decide on having him make sum beats..........them they may aswell ask neptunes and every other producer in the game if they gon ask timbaland to do beats for them.

dre/mel man
primo
hi tek
.....dope soundcheck if ra jus uses them three beat makers

peace

Damn! it thought i was the only sane person in here, but u gotta agree if ayatolla & alchemist came up with their best shit they should get on (and dre should produce a joint with hi-tek for it)

I would DEF. see these on the album:

1. Dre
2. Alchemist
3. Primo
4. Hi-Tek
5. Ayatollah

Dope producers I wouldn't mind, but I doubt these would fit Rakims style:

5. Rockwilder
6. Timbaland
7. Kanye West

Definately doesn't fit Rakims style:

8. Neptunes

I just see no need for Tim to be on, Dre and Premo should be the only ones, What classic album has Tim produced?

Pardon me, but Mr. Mosley is probably the most influential producer of the 90s besides Liam Howlett of The Prodigy.

These are the only producers I'd like to see:
- Tekzilla
- Dre
- Alchemist
- Timbaland
- Primo
- Pete

No Ayatollah. Please.
